After finding out we were due a refund I contacted their office and was told the person in charge of all that had unfortunately had to have emergency surgery, which is completely understandable. Over a month later after reaching out again, we finally had a check written out to us for $1000 when I knew by the EOB I was owed $1700. After discussing it with the person, she did write another check of $700. I'm truly hopeful it was an honest mistake, but I would caution anyone to check every insurance EOB and make sure you are being charged correctly.

We've always paid our estimates at time of service and any additional balances in instances where the estimates may have been slightly off. They continue to state that we have a "family" balance that has to be paid before they will schedule follow up visits. This balance has been reviewed with the business office against the EOB from my insurance in which the EOB does not reflect any patient responsibility. They are trying to balance bill for amounts they should contractually be writing off. This alone has put a bitter take in my mouth and forced me to start looking elsewhere for treatment. ​

After I expressed my frustration with finding a dentist who will do a great job, but not over-treat, Dr. Williamson was recommended to me by two friends who are both retired dentists, one of whom served the presidential fleet including the pilots and crews of Air Force One in the 89th airlift wing during the Johnson and Bush administrations. My first visit went great. I told my wife the the staff were welcoming and some attend a church like our own. The office has invested heavily in technology, and exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere. Kelly did a fantastic job doing my x-rays, pictures and initial health history. I have set up our entire family with their office. They are out-of-network, so my insurance will not pay as much for many procedures, but for the most common preventative care, it still covers 80 to 100% of the cost. In the end, I think our costs are going to be about the same, without the shenanigans of the insurance company's approval. I'm not the cheapest in my own industry, preferring to provide greater value, and my impression is that Dr. Williamson's office is the same.

They informed me that if would cost more as I was in the chair getting my teeth cleaned as well as my FOUR children were with various hygienists doing the same. We only got routine cleanings, four kids with fluoride, and two sealants in my kids for the low cost of over $1,500.00. Seriously expensive! Then to top it off their estimates were way off base and we ended up owing them almost $800. They also sent me and my daughter home with quotes of us each having four cavities needing to be filled. At the tune of nearly $300 a piece. Needless to say we immediately switched to an in network provider and I am still paying Dr. Williamson's office what I owe them. My daughter and I went and had our cavities filled elsewhere. We each only had two! And his charge was $160 per cavity and that included the extra cost of laughing gas so we could be more relaxed. He even felt bad when I had explained to him what happened with our previous dentist and the amount of money we owed that he took our X-rays for free before filling our cavities. I don't appreciate being price gouged and left in the dark about our insurance not being in network. While the staff is nice, so is the staff at every other office I have ever been to. For reference we also moved from the Vail Valley in Colorado (a very expensive place to live) and I never sent this much on our dental care there. I thought people should know what they are getting into. The cost is so high. The office is conveniently located on the I-30 frontage road with access from Ralph Hall so getting there was very easy. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful and my wait was less than a minute for my 9:00 am appointment. Since I was a new patient, they did a full mouth X-ray and periodontal exam. After that was complete, Mary (Courtin) introduced herself and discussed what they had discovered and a plan to keep me healthy. Together we looked at my X-rays (both new and previous X-rays obtained from my prior dentist), and discussed treatment options for areas of concern. Mary is very easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable right away. You can tell that she has a passion for her job which is something that I feel is very important. Before doing any work, Mary's receptionist brought me a breakdown of the work that needed to be done with prices and expected insurance coverage. I've never had any medical professional do this before and was grateful to know what I could expect to be paying upfront before any work was completed. I could do everything right then, or pick the things that fit into my time constraints and budget. I had a full deep cleaning, as well as repair on a old filling, and in spite of being upside down in the chair for a bit, had no discomfort what-so-ever. Now (24 hours later) my mouth feels just fine and I'm relieved that I've found a dentist who is friendly, thorough, and professional. Steer clear of this place…read more Billing practices are questionable. Management was insanely rude. My husband and I both had awful experiences here and immediately found an alternate team. My husband had botched implant prep here with his dentist being hired and fired within the same month. When he went back for follow-up and placement with a new dentist they paired him with a provider that's out of network with our insurance (we had no idea that their team all take different insurances and they don't disclose that to you). We've called 3 times to have our claim submitted to insurance and it still hasn't been done. For myself, the cleaning tech was wonderful but then I met the dentist and he started making wild claims and recommendations about the condition of my teeth post-pregnancy. As a nurse practitioner I felt very uncomfortable by his bedside manner and sales behavior. I asked for a copy of my x-rays and the recommendations for a second opinion 4 times between phone and email and never received them. This office doesn't care about your budget, respecting your insurance policy, or adhering to a less is more/conservative approach. If you do decide to be treated here keep a close eye on your paperwork and research everything. In the mean time, I'm still working hard to get my booking deposit back (yes they make you pay $75 just to book a cleaning).
