I had the worst toothache for several days and couldn't sleep--I was absolutely miserable. The team at TEGI (The Endodontic Group) got me scheduled the same day I called, and Dr. Greer McMichael began my root canal that very day. Dr. McMichael was incredibly kind, gentle, and reassuring. I truly can't put into words how wonderful she is. The entire team I interacted with was just as amazing--professional, caring, and efficient. Let's be honest--getting a root canal can be scary--but they made the entire experience comfortable and easy. I'm so grateful for their kindness and exceptional care! C Davis read more

Very bad experience here Failure to identify the correct pain source (#3) and performing unnecessary treatment on #4 on Oct 1. Failure to act on the patient's and the general dentist's clear information; Failure to diagnose tooth #3's necrotic pulp on October 1; Delaying necessary treatment, which likely worsened the condition and reduced the chance of saving tooth #3; As of December 1, the clinic informed me that tooth #3 has likely lost the opportunity for successful treatment and may now require extraction instead of root canal therapy. Jan, 2026. the tooth #3 got successful treatment in other clinic. read more

Dr. Rios and his staff are excellent. I've had his root canals and his apico surgery over the past few years. He is quick, low stress and professional. I highly recommend his practice and am lucky to have found him. Thank you. read more

Initial ... and ONLY EVER VISIT!!! BEWARE AND STAY CLER OF THE ENDODONTIC GROUP - FRISCO! I has the most AWFUL experience at The Endodontic Group-Frisco this morning. 1) The receptionist could not have been any ruder. She clearly did not know how to operate her computer, resulting in a more than 2-1/2 hour wait! After the first 40-45 minutes I was called back by an assistant for X-Rays (NOTE-my primary dentist had already them X-Rays taken only five (5) days before, then sent back to wait in the lobby! When I finally got into a treatment room, I waited another 20 minutes before Dr. Greer McMichael came to my treatment room. She spent maybe five minutes looking at the X-Rays (which I could view on the monitor positioned in front of me). She seemed to not know what to do, but eventually 'found' some decay in tooth #3. NOTE - My primary dentists (Twins) referred me to The Endodontic Group for a simple root canal on tooth #3 which observations had already sent to The Endodontic Group. Dr. McMichael spent a few minutes probing around my mouth trying to figure out which tooth was at issue (again, it is #3, which info was already provided to her). Dr. M. then told me there was nothing she could do for me today (having to do with my choice of anesthesia, though they advertise having it available on their website). I was dismissed without any procedure, nor any treatment whatsoever. I was told to go to the 'Receptionist/Check-Out person" - same surly one as when I checked in. She could care less about me or anything she was trying to do (and took her grand time to 'find') my charges in the computer. AND THEN, she hits me up for $299 (one must pay by check or cash ... a credit card incurs a 3-5% upcharge)! $299 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! (And this stupid one said than neither of my dental insurance plans covered their "non" - services even though I confirmed with my insurers that they did cover root canals, etc.) with this office). My advice...Stay FAR AWAY from The Endodontic Group - Frisco. They're clueless and only into getting $$. My humble and honest opinion. F/U - I will NEVER return to The Endodontic Group - Frisco, and already have an appointment elsewhere, thanks to the great dentists and Team at Twins Dentistry. David P. 5/22/2025 read more

Dr. Ghaeth Yassen and his assistant Norma at the Frisco TEGI took amazing care of my incredibly unhappy tooth. I am very thankful for Dr. Yassen's expertly executed root canal, especially on my challenging Russian tooth root system. :) I still need to return to get the root canal completed in 2 weeks, but am super happy with the work done this morning to alleviate my pain and provide relief. ) This is the 2nd time I've had a root canal done at this practice (separate teeth). I highly recommend this Dr. and practice to anyone needing endodontic work. read more

It truly was my lucky day despite having a toothache to have been treated by Dr. Menogazzo & his assistant Ali. He was so gentle and kind and explained what he was doing, I never felt so comfortable, the office staff were all so welcoming & helpful as well. It truly was a wonderful experience. I would definitely refer The Endodotic Group! read more

Tried to get a BALLPARK for a three canal root canal on a mandibular second molar. The range the desk gave me was $200.00-$3000.00. The person has mesial root decay. Spoke with two people who Would NOT narrow that range, even though I said I would go someone where else. I have taken other friends there, so wanted to return- did a great job! All they kept saying "I am sorry you feel that way". That is ridiculous. I can only say, I hope the doctors realize the front desk is turning away business. read more

The experience I had at the Endodontic Group was wonderful. I went in for a root canal after weeks of shooting pain and they took such good care of me. Dr. Yassen was SO nice, caring and did an amazing job. I have a sensitive jaw and he remembered to give me breaks throughout my entire procedure. The assistants were also very nice and everyone made me feel comfortable. It was such a great relief to be taken care of this way after weeks of pain. Thank you!! read more

I normally do not post reviews but their service was so good I wanted to be sure to do. I had Dr. McMichael and she is PHENOMENAL. Literally the best dental care I've had in my life! I came in to address concerns in regards to a tooth/root that had childhood trauma. No other doctor wanted to touch the root due to its complexity. Dr. McMichael examined me and was able to start the process on the spot! I even shed a tear out of joy!!! The entire staff here is very thorough and kind. I cannot recommend them enough!!! Thank you so so much for everything. read more

The dentists are highly professional, well-educated, and always well-versed in state of the art dental techniques with the best dental-surgical equipment available. The staff are warm, welcoming, and efficient. Dr. Menegazzo did my first ever root canal. He and his assistant, Andrea, made a tough procedure bearable and I even learned a lot! I do not hesitate to recommend The Endodontic Group! They are the best! read more

The receptionists are very nice and friendly! I really appreciate them, the 3 of them. And Dr McMichael is a great professional and very knowledgeable! I totally recommend this team! read more

Dr. Yassen is hands down the most caring Endodontist to go see if you need a root canal! He takes his time explaining the procedure step by step and answered all my questions! Dr. Ghaeth Yassen is the best and I am so happy he could save my tooth! read more

Had my first root canal done this past Monday! I was in a lot of pain over the weekend and they were able to get me in even though they were short handed that day from my understanding (very appreciative of that). Dr. Porter did an outstanding job. He explained the process and ensured me that it wasn't going to be painful. I have always heard that a root canal was a painful process so I assumed that was just part of the "nothing to worry about" speech. I couldn't have been more wrong, he was 100% correct! After the procedure he was again very thorough in explaining what to expect and what to do to mange the pain and discomfort. I am very impressed with the entire staff that I interacted with that day as they were all very professional and courteous. They called the next day to follow up which was another process that I liked very much. Outstanding team! If you are in the unlucky position to require a root canal, I highly recommend this location and Dr. Porter. read more

Had a billing situation where the doctor recommended doing a second root canal on my tooth but during the process decided that it could not be saved. Since the root canal procedure was not completed, my insurance would not pay for it. That was never explained to me that I would be responsible for an incomplete procedure. This office verified my insurances and had me pay what they thought was my portion, but didn't verify the possibility of it now being completed. They admit they don't do that for their patients. Beware and make them do their jobs for all possibilities. The office staff are not the most friendly and great you as if you are just a number. Won't be going back. read more

Wonderful experience. After having a root canal done by a general dentist and having a bad experience, a year later the same tooth needed another root canal because there was still infection at the bottom of the tooth. Dr. Porter is incredible! It was so quick! They made sure I was comfortable. His assistant is great also. They numbed the local anesthesia injection point so that when they administered the local anesthesia I hardly felt a thing. The laughing gas and oxygen helped a lot. I experienced no pain during the procedure. The office and the treatment chair are comfortable. Very clean establishment. Very nice bathroom. Dr. Porter is funny, knows his job, and cares about doing it correctly and with precision. The office staff are also very friendly. read more

Everyone was awesome, from start to finish. Nobody likes to have a root canal and I was anxious to stay the least., especially after my last root canal. The staff was so kind and Christine made me feel at ease as soon as I sat in the chair. Dr Porter took the time to explain all my options and what to expect during and after the procedure. The best part is I had ZERO pain...is this the best kept secret in dentistry?!! If I ever have to have a root canal, there is no better team to go to. I've experienced many dental procedures and a number of root canals in my life, and I've never had a better experience that I've had at The Endodontic Group. Thanks guys! read more

I was referred to the Endodontic group for a tooth that needed the 3D X-ray capability that this office has and my dentist does not. Dr. Porter was great at explaining to me what the X-ray showed and honest in that it did not need treatment at this time! Awesome! I would recommend this practice to others, absolutely. read more

Dr. Greer McMichael helped us in a pinch with our daughter who had a root canal infection over Christmas break. We were in town visiting my sister and feel very blessed that we found Dr. McMichael. She was very personable and really explained what was going on and what we needed to do. She did a procedure right then and there to help our 13 yr old. We even connected over the phone weeks later because I wanted to know her opinion and what she thought should be done. If we lived in Frisco and we needed an endodontist I would only go see Dr. McMichael. The other members of the staff were also very nice and helpful. I can't thank them all enough. read more

I have not been to the dentist in 10 years because the last root canal I had was HORRIFYING. Less about me more about them.. Dr. Buxt and his assistant Janet were AMAZING! Did I say AMAZING? BEYOND AMAZING. Before he started he asked if there was anything He needed to know about me and I broke down into tears and said I am terrified ( I am a 31 yr old baby) He sat me up and talked to me a little more and asked why I was so nervous. I told him The last root canal I had I could feel everything. He promised I wouldn't feel anything, Offered me Nas but I declined. He said if you feel anything painful let me know we will numb you more. He and his assistant talked me the whole time asking every 5 minutes if I was ok and that I was doing great! Janet said while he is working on you I will make sure to pay attention to you and you just signal if you want us to stop. It is a beautiful and clean place, The staff was so welcoming and sweet. I didnt feel any pain the entire experience. We all know we freak out if we hear the doctors talking about something we are unsure of right? Janet had told me she is not usually Dr. Buxt assistant so that if I hear him talking to her a lot during the procedure it is only because they dont normally work together and not to be freaked out by any of that. ( I SURE WAS GLAD she was his assistant that day, and her telling me that made me feel super comfortable) The next day they had an assistant call to make sure I was feeling ok or if i was in any pain. They gave me 800mg of ibuprofen and it sometimes throbbed but the day after with medicine it was feeling better. I would say a half day of heal time is pretty great! The only downfall is that They are root canal specialist and I wish he could be my dentist for everything. AWESOME job Dr. Buxt and Janet.. I can not thank you enough! read more

I really appreciated the honesty of Dr. Porter who reviewed two teeth & one did need a retreat. Upon returning, the tooth broke before we even got started. As he placed the clamp for the rubber dam, the tooth broke, & it became obvious after already having a crown prep the tooth wasn't salvageable. I appreciate the fact he didn't do the retreat for the money & then I lose the tooth later. Thank you! read more

Everyone here has been very friendly and the group very efficient. Dr. Porter explained everything well and his assistants were very professional. I had a root canal done here a couple of months ago but had to require some follow up due to a curved root tip. They did an apicoectomy today which means a micro surgery to remove the root tip that couldn't be reached by a conventional root canal. BOTH procedures were painless and while not pleasant, it was as pleasant as it possibly could be with their technique and expertise. Thank you! read more

I was sent over to the Endodontic Group by my dentist Dr. Grant for a possible root canal or extraction! I absolutely dislike going to the dentist but these people were great and made me feel totally okay through the whole process. I felt that Dr. Porter was professional, intelligent, and had a great personality. His assistant, Ashley, was super funny and knowledgable as well. I can't believe I'm saying this, but my root canal was actually a great experience!! Thanks so much for allowing me to eat on my right side again!!! read more

If I've learned one thing---for a root canal, don't use a regular dentist, go to an endodontist who does this surgery 5 times a day and is constantly seeing unique cases. I have a genetic predisposition for horrible teeth. I've known dozens of dentists in 40 years. Half of my teeth have a root canal. Micah Porter is head and shoulders the BEST endodontist. He's done four root canals on me (replacing poor work by others) and two on my children. He is passionate about being the best at what he does. He is calm, sharp, efficient and exudes integrity. I will never go to anyone else. read more
