The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. Reason it was frustrating was that every 15 minutes they said food will be out another two minutes .They brought us a round of drinks for our wait which helped and was appreciated. When I asked the waiter where my meal was, he simply said, "it is not working." I then asked a manager for help, but he disappeared and never returned. The bill came with no apology, no explanation, no discount, and nothing complimentary. It was an awkward and uncomfortable way to end what was supposed to be a special evening. Mistakes happen, but what really bothered me was that there was no effort to acknowledge the problem or make it right. I do not recommend. Our last day in Cancun and we wanted to go back hoping to order more al pastor but since we came too early it wasn't ready yet. If you're wanting to try it, I would say aim for a later time!
