Came here for a 20 year anniversary ambience was great greeted by friendly waiters. Happy there is this upscale kosher restaurant within walking distance from our hotel the Hyatt Ziva. Some dishes were really good and some were average. Drinks are fairly priced and good quality. Enjoyed the mushroom risotto and the couscous. The steaks we ordered OK nothing to rave about specially after waiting an hour to get served our main dish. Reason it was frustrating was that every 15 minutes they said food will be out another two minutes .They brought us a round of drinks for our wait which helped and was appreciated. Going to try it again tomorrow for dinner. read more

Loved the food, serving staff (Miguel) and the prices. The ambiance was perfect with soft music in the background and nice decor. I would make sure to try the empanadas on the aps menu. We went here twice on our vacation to cancun and would keep going if our flight wasn't in the morning. 5 stars all the way. read more

Came here twice while vacationing in Cancun. The food at my hotel was mehhhh and being a smidge kosher I decided to check this place out. I am not a meat lover, but I really loved this place. All of the dishes I tried during both visits were really tasty and flavorful. The dishes were spiced well, and I especially enjoyed the appetizers and chicken dishes. Free bread basket+Tahineh to start is always a plus. The wine here was really dope too. Staff were nice and patient. Really cool to have a kosher establishment in Cancun. Thank you Red Heffer for making me feel like a mensch-ish. read more

We went to eat at red heifer Grill tonight 1-21-18 it was a buffet night we don't think the food was so yummy the restaurant was crowded because it is the Jewish Schools winter break we were shocked when we received the final bill they charge two people for $138 we didn't order wine just in bottle if water we think this is stealing they are taking advantage of all the people that eat kosher food When I sent the restaurant a complain he the person who reply to me wrote back " go to Dag Dag " which is the chabad restaurant in Cancun And you know what I will go and I bet I will pay less $$ and even enjoy the food I hope you will get the reviews you deserve and change your ways after all the people will decide if you deserve to stay in business Good luck to u and hope u will lower your ridiculous high prices read more

The food was good, but nothing to write home about. Service was okay, it took forever for the staff to collect our payment. The biggest disappointment was, on the menu they write the have as a desert churros, we were in Cancun for two weeks we stopped by at least five to eat, all at different days and different times of the day, and they never had it. read more

Durring "Yeshiva week" they are a RIP OFF, and dishonest.I made reservation the first night I was in Cancun. They said if you come before 6pm yoy can order from the Menu ( we did not know it was Buffet) so we made our reservation for 5:00 pm. When we show up they tell us sorry we can't serve the menu its $55 pp for Buffet not including drinks. On top of that they charged us gratuity, I dont know why, we had no waiter. This is straight up stealing and dishonesty. We heard great things about this place and we were looking forward to having a great experience. This was a big let down with no fine dining experience. We had honest and solid food at the other Kosher options in Cancun/Isla Mujeras. I will give RHG another try just not durring "Yeshiva week". read more

Came to this restaurant 3 times over our vacation. The service here were was really good. Your started off with dips and bread. The dips tasted very fresh and tasty. We ordered the spicy pasta, pasta with mushrooms and pasta bolognese. The spicy pasta is very very spicy but good. The pasta bolognese was delicious and ordered it more than once. The appetizers were ok. The guac and chips are a no. Chips are soggy and not good. The tacos are good. The fries came in a different size every night. The churros are the star of this restaurant. I would go back just for them. Overall a decent place with good food. read more

OMG. Went with my wife and kids to have a nice meal. When two families came with 8 little kids which they allowed to take over restaurant The fact that we moved and the parents or management allowed this sporadic uncontrollable behavior in this place was almost ridiculous. Management deserves to be fired. Would never go back The family should be ashamed I happen to be of the same nationality and God does not give us the right to behave like this. Shame on them. We were pleasantly surprised that right across our hotel was one of the best kosher restaurants we have ever been to! The red heifer was a great experience in fine dining with exceptional service. The entrees ( tacos) the chicken dishes and the hamburgers were amongst our favorites. The wine selection was also amazing . We highly recommend the Red Heifer and will definitely go back on our next trip. read more

This place is amazing. The food is reasonably priced and coming from Los Angeles the plates are cheaper than similiar restuarants here. The staff is curtious, and as soon as I needed anything, almost 3 servers ran over each time. Ate here 3 of the 4 days here and tried many things on the menu. Highly recommended. read more

I was initially very excited to come here with reviews being what they were. First, the chairs are outdoor furniture wicker chairs that are extremely uncomfortable. second, the wine list is horrible! I asked for a rose which the menu shows 2 ... they brought me something that wasn't rose, then I asked for Chardonnay and they brought me a Riesling & a Sauvignon Blanc. Horrible.... the food was very good even though I verbally ordered 1 thing and they gave me something that sounded like what I said..... my fault ... what I ordered wasn't even on the menu BUT the waiter should have said sorry we don't serve that and redirected me... instead I got a chicken dish that sounded like the dish I wanted. Again the food was very good, my friend's needed salt.... the lighting was horrible and bright white, there was a baby's high chair in plain view in the middle of the restaurant (which wasn't being used) .... oh and the worst part was after u order wine... they remove the beautiful large wine glasses off the table and serve ur wine in a dessert port wine (small) glass. Tacky..... and they added gratuity on a 2 person ticket without mentioning they had.... "service suggestion" but it's added in- it's not a suggestion! Boo read more
