I couldn't give it a higher star rating, and here's why:
I'll start with the positives:
A big shoutout to Rubi, Casper, Henri, Andre, Gerardo, Ceasaro, and Pastor. We didn't get the names of the kitchen staff, but they were very helpful as well.
The morning staff was excellent, the buffet was very good. The variety of food was good, and was replenished often, although the options didn't change much, but to be fair, my sister and I stayed at the Four Points Hotel for nearly a month while she recovered from surgery.
We are from the U.S., and appreciated that the staff had a good grasp of English, as we know very little Spanish. Which leads me to the negatives.
The afternoon/evening staff, in our experience, had almost no grasp of the English language. With the exception of one gentleman. In several instances, even when we pointed to our selections on the menu, the server got our order wrong. She would take our order, bring our food, and we wouldn't see her for the remainder of our meal, and often had a long wait to receive our check. One evening when we went down, there was no one in the restaurant, so we decided to go into the bar, which also was empty. We had to ask the front desk to get someone to help us.
Yes, I was in their country, and I know very little Spanish, but the restaurant is attached to a hotel, and hospital that caters largely to medical tourism.
The room service for the hotel, which comes from the restaurant was another issue. When calling down from our room, we,again, could not get English speaking service.
In general the food was good. Large portions, and prepared well. If you order French Fries, however, they most often come unseasoned.
My favorite menu items were the Aztec Soup, and the Sonora Burrito.
The burgers were large, and very good, and my sister enjoyed their Ceviche, and their Chicken Wings. The wings have several sauce options.
So, overall, the food was good, but the service in the afternoon and evening left a lot to be desired. read more
