It definitely could have benefited from more duck, especially for a $23 salad. That said, I liked the blue cheese, apples, and cranberries that went with it. My entree was definitely the largest of the group and came with two huge thick potato pancakes, a hefty serving of red cabbage and a good portion of beef. Where the food really fell short was my entree. I got the shrimp and scallop risotto special. It came with two shrimp and "four" scallops, which was two scallops cut horizontally prior to cooking and seared. Scallops were complete rubber and tasted like ammonia, and the shrimp were extremely overcooked. The risotto itself was tasty and I would have it again, but for $40 it was not an acceptable dish. Our waitress was not rude, but not particularly friendly. We loved the vibe and decor of the restaurant, and other staff we interacted with were pleasant. I would not return here based on food quality and price point. I think the establishment is historic and beautiful, but could be improved greatly.
