I have left my dog at The Dog Ranch several times. It is by far one of the best dog boarding facilities I have found which is why I am willing to drive an hour to get there. My dog runs right in when I drop him off, tired and healthy when I pick him up. The dogs get to play outdoors which is not available at other places I have researched and I love that the most. I used the vet service here and what a pleasure it was. My pup is almost 13 and they were so caring, texted and called for follow up and check in and the price was wonderful. Everyone from people on the phone, to the amazing people who greet you to get your pet (pet nurses?), to the vet, are all professional and I felt comfortable and confident working with them. I heard all great things about the dog ranch until I actually took my dog there. I found out they let my dog out with unfixed males and was getting humped the entire time she was out in daycare! Most places do not let un fixed males into a group of dogs but they do. I asked certain questions that the staff could not answer. I don't know just not impressed with how they run things here. Not to mention I saw them hitting dogs through the door when I dropped my dog off! And when I came to pick up my dog there were dogs running around in the back with some guy trying to catch them. The Dog Ranch what can I say it is AMAZING. My girl, Molly, is a Lab mix and sooo full of energy and she goes to doggy daycare once a week and let me say she comes home exhausted. They let her play all day, let me repeat that...ALL...DAY! The Ladies who check the dogs in are kind, informative and you can tell love all the animals. Molly gets so excited when we pull into the dirt parking lot because she knows she isn't going to be alone all day and she gets to play with a lot of dogs. Also this time I had them trim her toenails (I am done doing it and hurting my puppy) so nice to have all kinds of services available and at reasonable prices. Please, take your dog there even it it's once a week this place is big, clean and just a great place for our fur babies to go. read more

I have mixed feelings. I left my pup here for a week long boarding. On the one hand I think my dog had a good time, only because when she came out she seemed healthy and happy. On the other hand, I think they might be so overwhelmed that their service is really lacking. First thing, I live in Denver so driving 1 hour each way for the pup is not ideal but I picked The Dog Ranch based on reviews and because I wanted my dog to have a week of being away from me where all she did was play. The things we do for our dogs! Things I liked: Staff were nice, pricing is really reasonable and I do like that they're on a real ranch with other animals. They do respond on a reasonably fast manner, (though really only by text because I only once have I ever managed to reach someone there by phone.) Things I didn't like: I had to write in a few times to ask how my dog was doing even though I was told I would get a report card. This was my first time away from my dog, which I told them about, and also how anxious I was about the whole thing. They promised I would get pictures and a report card and never did. When I did write in to inquire about her and they told me how she did, I was also confused because somehow felt like they were describing a dog that didn't sound like mine at all? That felt weird. Guess I'm just used to leaving her at daycare where I can check in on her via video and I know I can't do that here, so I was really relying on the pictures to feel better. I also paid to have her bathed before I picked her up so that she would be clean and smell nice when she came home, and when I came to drop her off I specifically asked for her nails to be trimmed, and they said it would be included in the grooming. Her nails were not trimmed and she did not smell nice so I had to come home and give her a bath myself, and I did have to walk back in and ask them to trim my dog's nails (good thing I checked before leaving for my 1 hour journey.) So I'm annoyed about the groomer skipping over the nails, and for the fact that I had to come home and wash her myself after paying someone else $45 to do it. Last thing, as you go to pay there's a tip option. The smallest tip is either 10% (which at a week long stay is a hefty $30+) or nothing. These days I feel bad not leaving a tip but given that a tip is voluntary I think that being able to choose how much you want to give other than a % based number would make sense. So for the time being I'm going to check out other places to see if I can find one I'm more happy with. read more

We have loved the dog ranch since taking our young pup there. We've been using them for more than a year and it's her home away from home for sure. The staff is great and the dogs play most of the day. She comes home happy and tired every day. We are so thankful and grateful we have a place she loves to go while we work! read more

Did a working interview a while back, probably in December. The owner of the place, was touring me around and was bringing her own dog into the play room and set her down and we continued on our way. Her dog was barking due to desperation anxiety and the OWNER picked her own dog up by the back of the neck, and held her up and said "do you want to die in a fire?" TO HER OWN DOG. That was my first red flag, second red flag, they have a gate that separates the initial playroom door to the playroom to make it easier, but once in the metal gate, the dogs come to welcome you and crowd the gate, the girl who was now showing me around said "if they don't move just start swinging the gate and they'll learn to move". It's a METAL gate. I wouldn't even bring my own dog here if I worked there. I wouldn't trust the other staff enough. They offered me more than what I was getting payed already and I still declined the position due to how they treat the dogs. I left nearly in tears because I was so upset about what I saw and witnessed. Not a fan at all. read more

The facilities are beautiful. The staff is super passionate. But my favorite thing about The Dog Ranch is their commitment to the community. They take in animals in need, particularly tough cases that most people are not equipped to handle. Pregnant pigs. Pregnant dogs. Fosters that need rehab. Their hearts are huge and they'll love you dog like they love their own. Our community is better because they are here! read more

The groomer quit at the last minute yet we were not notified and drove 30+ minutes to find this out. Both parties are claiming the other one was supposed to call to cancel all grooming appointments but the establishment should of called us to make sure as we were in their system and schedule for a grooming. Not going back when they hire a new groomer as I don't want this to happen again. read more

Terrible terrible terrible service. This business charged me over 500 dollars by mistake and has yet to reimburse or reverse the charges on my card. We keep getting the runaround and we are now in our second week of dealing with them. We are at this point having to go to our own bank to dispute the charges and ending our 2 year relationship with this business due to the incredibly poor handling of this matter. Wouldn't recommend taking your dog here. I may have been premature in writing my previous review. First let me say in the age of automated telephone answering in which you are asked to supply certain details before ever reaching a human, and once you do you are transferred to another department and put on hold only to feel that people are to busy to speak with you. I was pleasantly surprised by a phone call from Ashley the owner who calmly explained the issue with the 3rd party vendor responsible for issuing the refund of 504.00. In addition she did this on a Sunday while out of town and tending to a family member who was taken I'll. She arranged to have check written and delivered no less to my front door on the same day by another person as pleasant as her. In addition she offered to cover any fees associated with the transaction and would simply accept a check for the refunded money once it cleared through the 3rd party vendor. My experience and renewed confidence in doing business with my NEIGHBOR is most always more pleasant and personal than the aforementioned institutions i.e Big Banks, Telecom etc. My gratitude to Ashley and her staff for being so gracious through my frustration. read more

The only place we would ever leave our dogs! The are excellent! Our dogs love playing with the other puppies there. They post pics of our babies and live on them while we're gone. They take excellent care of them and they have lots of time to play so they aren't penned or kenneled for long periods of time. We have 3 dogs so they get to stay in a family kennel, aka a remodeled horse stall. They love it! They are reasonably priced and they offer tons of extras. Well love dog ranch! read more
