Ashcroft grooming services are the BEST !! We have worked with Shannon (this girl is very professional, great with dogs, most talented groomer we have experienced in the Fort Collins area). I have been taking my dog to this kennel for several years, mainly while we are on vacation. During his last stay I noticed a bump on the side of his neck, which we later found out was a bite wound which resulted in a few hundred dollars vet bill. I completely understand that dogs play and sometimes there can be aggression and a dog gets bit. My disappointment with the kennel is in the fact that I never received a call or any discussion regarding the bite, despite the fact that it was noticeable and per the vet would have left blood. read more

Ashcroft has been a GOD send to us! we found them when we still lived in Loveland and it was worth the drive. They are caring and pay attention to each individual pup's needs while also supporting you as a pet parent. Finding a new daycare/boarding spot is hard and stressful but Ashcroft was worth the search. The dogs spent tons of time there while we were moving, on vacations, and they still get excited when we pull into the parking lot which is the only sign I need to know they are being taken care of. read more

Review is only for Doggy Daycare! My pups love it! We send them about 2x a week and they come home totally zonked out from playing all day. I like that they have astroturf so they don't also come home full of dirt. The best part about Ashcroft is that you don't need to book in advance (after your initial intake)! It is sooooo nice if ok a whim you decide your pup needs some extra stimulation or you have errands to run that day. It takes the cake on convenience. read more

Our impression of this place is that they are disorganized and are running it like a puppy mill! When we checked our two dogs in, they had lost our reservation...They finally found it, but for a different date. They took our two dogs, but didn't ask for their immunization records. We stood outside in 20 degree weather in a cage waiting for them to bring our dogs in, and finally, when we came to pick our dogs up, they brought one of our dogs out with a second dog that wasn't ours! Since our dogs were supposed to be boarded together, who knows how the mixup happened! They told us that our dogs nails had been trimmed, but our second dogs nails ( the one that they had to find since they had brought us the wrong dog) were not trimmed. In conclusion, this place is poorly run and I would not recommend bringing your dog here! read more

We recently bought our two small dogs to Ashcroft for nine days while we went on vacation. Our little girl, Alice, has only stayed at boarding once and she hated it. Our two labs are like fur bombs in the spring and the fall. It seems like no matter what we do as far as brushing, it is never enough. Our clothes, our cars, and our house were all covered in fur. After seeing a video from Ashcroft about fur blowouts, we brought our dogs there. They loved it and the fur problem is solved. Our one lab was always rubbing her back on couch cushions, chair arms, and table edges and seemed to be itchy all the time, but she doesn't do that anymore. We didn't realize she had an undercoat and it was matted. Not anymore! AND they smell good. Ashcroft has a great Instagram presence and we hoped they'd get a picture there, but no luck this time, maybe next time, as we are definitely going back. One funny thing is that when we picked them up a woman who said she had been the one "furminating" them, kept saying, "C'mon you big boys, it is time to go." This is funny because they are both female and I wondered how if she was the one brushing them, she missed that. I don't really care if they are called boys or girls and my freshly washed pups don't care either. read more

after 6 years of taking my dogs religiously to Ashcroft for daycare and depending on them to take care of my fur babies when I am out of town I have pulled my two dogs out. I have recommended multiple friends to ashcroft and its heartbreaking for both my dogs and myself. What I've learned recently and the service I've received recently has pushed us to make changes. The cooling system is so inefficient that dogs are puking and overheating. They are charging clients for stay and play while boarding ($25/day) but not actually providing that service. Likely because they are so understaffed their employees do not have either the capacity or the space to safely provide. My dogs are the resident "temperament testing" dogs that they use for new client testing and over the last 1.5 years i have taken them to the vet from injuries 3 times. Each time it's conveniently been from one of my other dogs. Which may also stem from the lack of staffing and the overheating?? Anyway, the staff has been amazing to us over the years but the revolving door has left a lot of dog inexperienced staff and young staff who may not be appropriately trained. Either way, I took them there and spent so much money over the years but no longer trust them to take care of my dogs the way I would. read more

I appreciate the detailed feedback they provided on Linus's stay. Linus is fear reactive with other dogs. I work out of state and have another kennel close to where I work that he spends time at. At that kennel, we have been doing a lot of work his reactivity / socialization. This was the first time he had stayed at this kennel in a few months and it was great to hear how his work at his other kennel transferred to a new setting. read more

My dog loves it here and the staff is friendly. My only feedback is, I wish they were more detail oriented. The stay before last when my dog was boarded they didn't give me his slowfeeder bowl upon checkout. I had to ask for it. The last stay they did give me his bowl but overcharged me. I do not recommend this facility - unsafe medication administration procedures and lack of medication related training/documentation workflows. I want to start with I am in communications with the General Manager, Shaun, as well as the Destination Pet Regional Manager, Liaa regarding our recent boarding experience which is the only reason I am giving 2 stars because of their cooperation. 7/23/22 our neighbor dropped our two dogs into boarding for one night around 4pm with three ziploc bags of food each and Keppra prescription medication for our dog, Percy, who has epilepsy. Percy was to get 4 tablets every 12 hrs. At 8:42pm I received a phone call from the GM Shaun letting me know they were transporting Percy to the emergency vet due to "him jumping up and knocking 2 extra pills on the ground and eating them" for his night time dose. I thanked her for the update and asked that the manager in charge of transporting, Kyle, call me when Percy was back at the facility. An hour later I called the ER vet and was told by the vet tech Percy was dosed 2 separate times, a total of 8 tablets. I explained that is not what I was told - I later confirmed this to be what was reported to ASPCA poison control. It was after midnight and I still had not receive confirmation of Percy returning to Ashcroft and now the vet's phone lines were turned over, so I had no confirmation where he was. Ashcroft has taken financial responsibility for the emergency vet visit and the one night boarding fees. Sunday morning 7/24, we picked up the dogs around 9:00am and asked to speak with a manager to confirm what had actually happened since we heard two different versions from Ashcroft staff and the ER vet. The manager on duty, Kyle, met us to give us the discharge instructions from the ER vet and told us that the staff member "must've put PM and AM dose on the tray and gave them all at the same time by accident". This contradicts the ASPCA poison control report which stated the caller's manager gave second dose at 7:00pm and the chart note I received from the vet with details of the visit. Kyle was the manager at 7:00pm from what I understand, so we felt he was being intentionally dishonest to us as owners. We waiting 1.5 hrs for Shaun to arrive to talk with us so we could voice our safety concerns regarding medication management at this facility (this marks our 3rd medication error of the 4 times we have boarded, 75% error rate isn't good. The first time, they triple dosed Rimadyl and gave 1/3 of the Keppra which then our other dog ended up eating when Percy spit it out as they were not fed separately as requested). Shaun assured me there would be an internal investigation and additional staff training and she connected me with the regional manager who I later spoke with on 7/26. Liaa, the regional manager, has now assured me the safety and training manager will be brought out from the East coast to review all current procedures and provide proper training and that she will be reviewing internal procedures as Ashcroft is a recent acquisition for Destination Pet in the last year. Both Shaun and Liaa are cooperating and seem to be genuinely interested in fixing the issues we brought up. To make matters worse, Parker and Percy were not fed dinner, breakfast, and Percy was not given his morning dose of medications during their stay, remember they were dropped off at 4:30pm. All three ziploc bags of food for each dog were returned to me. Their bag of belongings was not given to us at checkout (and I was too frazzled to remember) so we had to go back when they opened at 4pm to get their bag of toys and collars. I would not recommend using this facility for boarding for any dog who requires medication or has a medical condition. I have requested internal documentation for both issues mentioned above and was told there wasn't any. So I assume medications, meals, etc are not properly documented or given to dogs - this was my main concern when discussing with Liaa and she said all of this is going to be reviewed and addressed. Nice place but seems like just a business for them. I don't feel like they care much about the dogs. I just boarded my dog there for the first time. When dropping off I had to leave him outside in a cage while I checked in. Then they carted him off before I had a chance to go back outside to say goodbye. When I picked him up they did not give me any information about how he did. Did he eat okay? How did do with the other dogs during play time? Tell me something. I just moved to Forest Collins. The kennel I took my dog to where I lived before was 100 times better. They truly cared about the animals in their care unlike this place. I will be shopping around for another boarding facility for sure!!!! read more

One star because they had a spot available during the Labor Day weekend. We booked for one overnight boarding for our mini poodle. Blake who answered the phone told us that the total price for one overnight boarding was $33, and $10 optional if you wanted the dog to social/play with other dogs for half day each day. We were told to drop our dog before 10am on Sunday, and picked her up on Monday. They told us specifically that they only opened between 4pm- 6pm, so we had to make sure to pick up the dog during that time window. Everything sounded good for us, so we went there on Sunday morning dropped our little dog, and we told the front desk staff Ali that we were willing to pay $10 each day for our dog to play with other dogs. Before on our way out, we saw our dog was locked outside in a covered area. I was a little concerned because it was very hot outside. I just wish someone could get her inside quickly or meet with other dogs. Ok, on Monday evening, We got there at 5:00pm to pick up our dog. When the bill arrived, we were shocked - 1. Nobody told us we had to pay additional $28 for day boarding. NO ONE ever said any words that the overnight pick up time was 9:30am. We were told they only opened between 4pm-6pm on Labor Day holiday. 2. There is a mandated percentage for paying tips, you CAN'T customize your tips! That also means you HAVE to give tips no matter what! This is my first time experience with Ashcroft Pet Resort, also my last time! read more

Dropped our Ollie Bean off at Ashcroft Pet Resort for doggie daycare in Timnath to play with new friends today. (We usually go to the K9 Learning Center in No FoCo but since I wasn't working and just chillin with my momma in Severence, I figured, why not try them out? ) BAD IDEA! 9:40am-I dropped her off for an "intake evaluation"- wasn't sure what that meant but, Okay. They had me put her in a kennel with rock flooring up front outside while I went in to check in at the front office which felt strange. I didn't get say good bye because I thought we were coming back out with the trainer for a meet and greet. I saw through the window that a woman was taking her away and they didn't even pet, squish or snuggle her for a greeting, just shooed her down a walk way. Needless to say I was a sad momma at that very moment but figured she was going to have a blast so I sucked it up but told my mom later about how I'm so glad I don't have to leave my human baby in a daycare because that was hard enough. At the k9 Learning Center you kiss them goodbye and they go with their new friends right away and you can see them having fun before you take off. I normally have my phone on silent but kept it on all day in case they called for any reason. Ollie gets along with all the dogs at school so I wasn't worried about her getting into a fight but, just in case they needed me to get her early I'd be there. She was so excited to be "going to school with friends" that she didn't even eat breakfast this morning. Well.... 5:15 pm rolls around and I get a call from one pissed off daddy. Will picked her up and was livid when they "regretted to inform him that she failed her intake eval" meaning she had been in a kennel hungry and by her lonesome all day because she was too much of a Pitt bull in the face. Actually she's a Scott's American Bull Dog, ask her PROFESSIONAL dog trainer and read up on your different bully breeds people. That's what they look like and their temperament is completely different than a terrier.... plus she's 65# + and huge, not a short stacked pittie. And regardless who the F- cares anyway. Nowhere in there terms/agreements or anywhere on the website does it say they discriminate against Pitt bulls. If anyone can show me where it does, I would like to see that. And even if it does they could have told me their assumptions BEFORE I LEFT. They didn't even call me to tell me she wasn't aloud to play all day. I was freakin available! I took her there just to get interaction with other dogs because she's been stir crazy, not to be boarded. Yes, she's spoiled and rightfully so. She truly had a rough start to life. Back to the story though, I called at 5:20pm to figure out what the heck happened and was put on hold to talk to a trainer for almost 10 mins. The kid who put me on hold because he had no clue what to say initially came back on and said he spoke with the owner, the trainer, and a front desk employee and "she failed the intake for group play (due to her breed, which had nothing to do with her interaction with other dogs) but we would love to have Olive back for an overnight boarding or one on one day stay" for buku bucks. I don't freaking think so. Just read some reviews and wish I would have done my homework before taking her in there. Why would I leave my dog overnight somewhere unsupervised with no video surveillance that has a history or losing dogs when I WORK AT A VET AND TOLD THEM SO! Not pleased in the least. K9 Learning Center it is, all day every day from here on out. It's worth the extra hour drive time from Windsor for her to have fun and be safe. They don't even make her have "nap time" because she is such a puppy and just needs to play and be goofy all day. I'll recommend them to everyone! read more
