I decided to get a second opinion at The Meadows Veterinary, and they immediately diagnosed a serious condition. Sadly, by then, it was too late. My poor baby had been suffering, and I now live with the pain of knowing earlier detection could have made a difference. I decided to wait until after our trip to look for a new rescue; however, a friend in Texas asked if I would please take a stray that her grand kids had found there. They couldn't keep him, they were unable to find anyone else to take him and they didn't want to drop him off at a rescue shelter there. Hence, I ended up with an untrained but loveable stray named Buddy. Due to the short amount of time before our trip, I looked for a place to teach him some manners. Based on a recommendation from another company and the glowing reviews on the web, I dropped him off at Dog Dynamix for 3 weeks of board and train for $3,495. Pricey, but I was glad they would be able to complete his training before we left for Montana. Imagine my surprise when Buddy came back to me unable to do anything that he hadn't been doing when I dropped him off. He could do a little heeling for very brief periods provided there were zero distractions. Same with 'sit'. Didn't know 'stay' or 'down'. No basic obedience behavior whatsoever. What I got for my $3,495 was 1 pet cot, 1 slip leash, 1 remote collar set and 4 cans of dog food (not a part of his regular diet). I did not get a dog that exhibited any training. Fortunately, he's still very loveable. I would not recommend Dog Dynamix for anything other than possibly boarding.

For a few years, everything was fine (but my mom also checked in regularly on the cats). My only "requirements" were to feed them wet food daily (and dispose of any uneaten wet food before adding new wet food) and make sure they had plenty of clean water, and refill dry food and water as needed. Everything would be set out - food, trash can (to dispose of the empty cans from wet food and any uneaten wet food) paper towels & carpet cleaner (for any messes), etc. My mom generally scooped litter boxes since they were in various places in the house. As I said, prior to our last vacation, all was OK for a service that I knew was more oriented to dogs. This last trip however I was very disappointed. Upon coming home, we discovered that wet food was not disposed of timely and had actually become moldy. This single occurrence has caused this review and as such, I will be finding a new service or person that is oriented to only caring for cats and their needs while we are away.

Heather came by to meet the dogs, meet us, and get a key during the initial appointment. Thereafter, she just lets herself in and takes the dogs for a jaunt. My dogs have had - issues - of the intestinal variety and not even that scared her off! Heather administers midday medications as needed and I love getting the reports about how the dogs had a good time during the day. I mean, if I'm at work at least someone's having fun! The dogs are so much calmer when she has come by. This is a really fantastic service.

They make sure they are altered, have vaccines, microchip and any other care that they might need prior to adopting them out. They also are good at doing reference checks to do their best to make sure that the animals will be going to a good or appropriate home for them. As a volunteer, they have been wonderful to work with. i have 2 teens that i volunteer with and their lives have been much enriched by being able to walk the dogs. The staff at animal friends is friendly and helpful. And the training provided beforehand helps them to know you are committed to coming and being a regular at their facility. They took some down time for covid but have since began opening up volunteer slots. We highly enjoy working with them and i know many people who have adopted from them and loved the process!

The groomer also made the drive out to Greeley for a small gas surcharge. Awesome customer service! We had expected Purrfect Fur's pricing to be higher given the convenience of them coming to you, we were pleasantly surprised with their pricing. They charged less than the quotes we had received from various grooming salons, how awesome for a less stressful situation for Mr Kitty. The groomer who came did an awesome job, and was able to be thorough while being fast. Our cat was rather fussy and difficult, but it didn't faze her or the standard of the shave our cat received. We will be using them for any and all future grooming needs our cat may have. We've been telling all our cat owner friends to give them a call!
