My Mom did me a favor today and took my Pup in for a wellness check and a few vaccines. I had only been here once before with him, years ago, but after talking to an acquaintance who has a very robust amount and love for pets and had nice things to say, I scheduled. I heard nothing but positive feedback regarding how the visit went (and no one would be more honest than my Mother). The tech was down on the floor with him, continued to offer him different treats (as he never takes treats) and explained everything so well to her that she was then able to explain to me. I would say it was a win! read more

I would NOT RECOMEND this clinic! I am heartbroken by the experience I had at this clinic. During a wellness check, I trusted the Dr. Joya to provide thorough care, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Dr. Joya appeared lacked the knowledge I would expect from a professional in this field. I did not see her properly examine my pet, and she missed clear signs of illness. I decided to get a second opinion at The Meadows Veterinary, and they immediately diagnosed a serious condition. Sadly, by then, it was too late. My poor baby had been suffering, and I now live with the pain of knowing earlier detection could have made a difference. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but in hopes that it prevents another pet owner from going through what I did. Our babies deserve attentive, competent care from the very start. read more

Do not take your animal here if you want transparency with your bill and proper care for what you pay for. I took my dog in today for a wellness exam. My other dog was with us but I was not there for him. He was just present so, I was expecting to pay for 1 wellness exam to get my SINGLE dog checked out. Then, I was told that they were recommending, by their records, that I get both my dogs this lepto vaccine for only $45 each then an additional charge at a later date for the booster. So, I am now expecting to pay for 1 wellness exam and 2 shots. Later in the visit the my first animal was prescribed medicine after her wellness exam for an additional charge. So I was expecting a charge for a wellness exam, 2 shots, and a prescription. Then, when I am presented with the bill it is over $350. For "2 wellness exams, 2 vaccines, and a prescription," I assumed there was a mistake. But the assistant told me that they had to do a "wellness exam" to my other dog in order to "administrate the vaccine." They did not look at my other dog, temp it, ask about it, literally nothing but give him the shot. But now I'm getting charged an additional $120 for a second wellness exam? That was not preformed. I asked why I was charged for an exam and they told me they had to in order to administer the shot. And I told her that she did not explain that at all or even give my dog an exam. The response was laughable: "oh haha, I guess that wasn't explained very well, so the total will be..." no remorse. No attempt to correct their mistake. Just me out another $120 for literally nothing. This is further evident by me receiving only one of my dog's "notes" post vet visit via email. And not the other dog's. Because my other dog did not get a check up. Then I was given a quote for another $300 if I wanted a blood panel done? I was also not provided a receipt and sent on my way. So again, if you value your money and care for your animal it is probably better spent somewhere else. I just spent $360-some dollars to have 1 dog looked at and 2 shots given. I consider this a rip off. read more

Apparently questioning policies gets you kicked out as a client. I asked why my dog needed to come in before they would approve meds. Instead of explaining it, i got many canned responses from them. I reached out to my chiropractor for the dog and she explained to me that meds can not be approved if dog not seen in last year. However she is not at this practice. After the chiro explained to me, I made the appointment. Also after my other dog got diagnosed with cancer, I felt very abandoned by this practice and definitely let down. They did not offer care, assistance, support or anything that was really needed. Communication at this practice is extremely poor. I would not recommend this business to anyone. If you are looking for a dr for your furry friend go to another one where they will communicate with you and also will listen to you. read more

The vet tech literally kicked my dog and they charged me 3x more than I was told prior to the visit. When I asked how my payment tripled, she told me the lady who scheduled me was let go because she was "incompetent". Not my fault! Very unprofessional, aggressive and I will not be bringing my dogs her again. read more

I have had pets all my life. Never have I had the experience with the doctor's and assistance. They were warm and friendly. Dr. Erin Shufflebarger. They made me feel comfortable. They were easy to talk to and explained everything. They handled my cat very lovingly, even though he would have had none of it. Poor guy had to be sedated. They did a thorough examination. I am going to make them my cats veterinary clinic. read more

Trent Newcomer has been our favorite vet for more than 10 years. We moved and still make the trip. He is kind, thoughtful, and caring with our dogs. He shoots the straight story. He is very skilled with older dogs and his therapy facilities and staff are top notch! I wouldn't take our dog kids to anyone else. read more

Front Range Veterinary Clinic - Even this water-phobic husky loved the treadmill! - Veterinarians Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

We began taking our dog, Spankie, to Front Range soon after we relocated to Fort Collins. We had tried a couple of vets locally before we settled on Front Range. Once we found Front Range we felt as though we had found treasure. At the other places we tried we found front office personnel were too aloof, distracted and too often completely uninterested in providing quality customer service. But at Front Range we found a shift in that paradigm. The front desk staff are friendly, upbeat and obviously glad to have you there. They enjoy talking with you and getting to know both you and your pet. It's obvious they enjoy animals and their human companions. This is a ditto to the back office techs. They get to know and care about your pets in a way that communicates how much they enjoy their work. Whether you're talking with Beth, Angelo. Juanita, Rebecca, Melissa or any of the staff, they happily share their thoughts on what they enjoy about your pet and the different little things they notice and value. It is clear they truly take interest in your pet's comfort. Their empathy demonstrates the nurturing energy they bring to your animal's healthcare. During our time, at Front Range, we have dealt with several of the veterinarians who practice there, Dr. McCarthy, Dr. Newcomer, Dr. Baker. Each of them is entirely committed to maintaining your pet's quality of life and health and honestly addressing and issues that may be occurring. The organization as a whole is very conscientious about doing what they can to make the quality of care as affordable as possible, giving you options that allow you the piece of mind of knowing you are doing all you can for your animal family member. We learned well that the personnel in this establishment are dedicated to you and your pet feeling nurtured, tended to and safe. Several months ago, our sweet little Spankie passed on, he was 20 years old. That's a long life for a dog, and we in large part, thank all the staff at Front Range for helping us keep him healthy and happy in those last couple of years. And when the time finally came for us to make the decision to assist our little guy in letting go and transitioning to a place without pain, the gentle-hearted staff at Front Range were there with their hearts wide open and their profound care ever present to make Spankie's closing moments with us as meaningful, painless and safe as could ever be humanly possible. With our ever undying gratitude, I express to anyone looking for an exemplary veterinary clinic to look to Front Range. They are a fine spirited crew of people who truly love animals, value the animal's family and care deeply about the long term relationships that create true quality customer service. read more

I would like to commend Dr. Alisha, Dr. McCarthy and the Front Range Vet team for their excellent and comprehensive service, facilities and care. After being told by my regular vet that there was nothing I could do for my dog's worsening "idiopathic head tremors," I got in touch with Dr. Alisha for chiropractic care and Dr. McCarthy for acupuncture. My dog has been tremor-free for over a month! I feel the team at Front Range Vet takes a more holistic and comprehensive approach. They were the first to suggest dietary/supplement changes (added Taurine and Magnesium), which I appreciated. They understood that I couldn't stand by and do NOTHING for my dog. Their rehabilitation center at the back of the clinic is comfortable and made my dog feel less nervous. Her response to chiro and acupuncture was profoundly positive. After a few appointments, the tremors went away completely. Given her improvement, both Dr. Alisha and Dr. McCarthy said that I should just call them if anything came up or the tremors came back. I really appreciated their transparency and integrity. Although insisting that I was always welcome, they didn't try to get me back for unnecessary appointments. My wallet is thankful! That said, I think they're very reasonably priced. I am truly grateful for their care and expertise. read more

We have been bringing our animals here for several years and we really like the vets, the techs, and everyone who works in the office. We bring our 2 dogs for routine care and have had teeth cleaning as well as behavioral health medication and Thyroid medication management with this clinic as well. We feel they care for our family members and we always receive a personal follow-up call from one of the vets after our visits. We also really like that when we call for an appointment, they usually have lots of good availability including evenings! read more

I have had dogs all my (long) live, and have been to quite a few vet clinics and interacted with numerous veterinarians and staff. The DVM's and staff at Front Range are the best of the best. Dr's Shufflebarger and McCarthy have never failed to provide the best of care for our pets and always spend the time to be sure that I understand the issues involved and the care I need to give my pet to give them the best quality of life, even in very trying circumstances. I believe that the tests, medications, and treatments they have recommended are necessary, prudent, and no more expensive than necessary. The vet techs and office staff have always been courteous and helpful, and often anticipate my needs. I whole-heartedly recommend your pet to their care. read more

I have used Front Range as my vet for more than 20 years.. In the last few months we had one of our dogs diagnosed with a terminal illness. Our experience with Front Range during this recent need for their services has been beyond horrible. The front staff is extremely rude, we have never seen the same vet more than once anymore, with a high turnover or something. No compassion, the front desk person interrupts every conversation and talks over you and would not let me talk to a manager, ever, to voice my concerns. I am just beyond frustrated with their treatment of our family and their new management. The experience of our dog being sick and eventually needing to be put to sleep was one of the worst I have had with a pet, mostly due to the rude staff and extreme lack of compassion. They treat you like a oil change on your car. Leave your dog at the curb and deal with everything on the phone via the rude front desk person. Just recommending avoiding Front Range Vet unless you want unecessary stress during a pet crisis or general care. read more

I received a referral to Dr. Newcomb from a friend since the current vet I was seeing was not listening and charging A LOT. I called to set an appointment up, and low and behold Dr. Newcomb picked up the phone himself! He was amazing in discussing the back issues my puppy was having and the concerns I was having, talked with me for nearly a half hour on the topic and decided it was best to come in very soon. He had a completely full schedule that day but squeezed me in with no hesitation. Their front desk person, Matt, was very friendly and helpful and called my previous vet for medical records and took care of everything for me. I was brought back with my puppy by Amanda, she was extremely sweet to my very frightened dog and took great care of her. Dr. Newcomb came in and did a very thorough exam on my puppy (much better than the previous place) and spent a lot of time trying to pinpoint the problem. I was in the office for a full hour, all of which was spent with the Dr. and his tech showing me the X-Rays, explaining them, bringing the pictures and books out for me to fully understand what I was looking at and understanding the problem. I was promptly given medication for my pup and paid my bill, best deal I've come across in a long time! My puppy went to a vet 2 weeks before this visit and had absolutely no positive results and was worse than she started. Two days after seeing Dr. Newcomb, she is back to herself and doing amazing! And to top it off, the office called to see how she was doing and if I had any concerns about her progress thus far. I will recommend this office and this staff to anyone I come across, they were so helpful and so nice. It was a great experience to actually be educated on the issue I was facing with my dog and wasn't pressured or rushed out on a time limit. Truly a great place to go :) read more

Trent and his staff at Front Range Veterinary Clinic have made a dream come through for us. I just completed a 10 day event at the Master National Retriever Club in Cheraw, South Carolina. Our dog: Moon Schoon Devil's Double Down MH MNH 7 QA2 (ACE) with the help from Trent and his staff was able to be one of few dogs to ever pass the Master National for 7 years in a row. This competition is the best of the best retrievers in the country, the cream of the crop This put Ace our dog into the Hall of Fame. At the age of 11.5 years we were able to rehab the dog with the use of Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Water Trend Mill, and the right medication to perform at this event which had over 975 dog entered. After a couple of months of treatment beforehand, she performed excellent. I believe the dog is in the best shape she has been in the last 2 or 3 years. I would highly recommend Trent and his staff at Front Range Veterinary Clinic. They are family as far as I'm concerned. Jeff & Virginia Schoonover Wellington, Co read more

It was hard choosing a new vet when I moved here, but I have zero regrets with choosing Front Range. The front desk staff couldn't be more pleasant. Appointments are easy to make, and they inform me what the vet needs to be seen for, and when I can just see a tech. They email me appointment notes and always offer to print them for me. I have no complaints with Front Range. read more

My husband and I have two babies, Ally and Ella. They are basically our kids, since we have none yet! Ally is a boxer, and they are prone to cancer, so when a growth showed up on her leg we took her into a vet close to us, they did not seem to be too concerned, but did send us an estimate for almost $3000. We had NO idea what we were going to do! By fate, one of the Vet's at front range sat in my chair (I am a hairstylist), and I got to talking with her and she really encouraged me to take her in get it checked out as soon as possible. From the first phone call, through exam, surgery, an infection, and aftercare, this clinic was with us and on our side ALL the way! To find out our girl had cancer was a huge heartbreak, but we felt so comfortable and secure in the treatment plan that the doctors set up, it was the best place to be going through this mess! AND, it was such a much more manageable price!! Seriously, any pets would be lucky to be cared for by the professionals at Front Range Verterinary Clinic!! read more

Awesome clinic! Love these people! They are soooo nice and friendly! I have been bringing my dogs here for several years. The staff and atmosphere are great. After recently losing my German Shepherd to lymphoma, I adopted an 8 week old Brittany Spaniel. The staff took such good care of my old dog when the time came to euthanize. Very caring and compassionate. The technicians are very knowledgeable and were understanding of my questions and concerns. I enjoyed the follow up calls from the vets and techs to check in. The vets will go above and beyond to make sure I have all of the available treatment options for my dog. I will continue to bring my pets to Front Range for as long as I am a pet owner. read more

I brought my cat in for the first time today. Front Range Veterinary Clinic was amazing! Everyone was so kind and listened to me tell them every detail about my cat's life. Dr. Marano was very thero and called my pervious vet in Texas for me to get records. Turns out my cat was only consipated so treatment was easy. We had a wonderful experience at the Front Range Veterinary Clinic. The staff was quick, curious, professional, and took the time to answer all of our questions. The staff also expressed a genuine care for my pet and contacted us with various follow up calls. When it turned out my pet needed surgery, they did not put it off till tomorrow or send me to the emergency vet but stayed late to get my guy all fixed up. I definitely recommend this clinic. read more
