Loved this little hole in the wall restaurant. A simple menu and the locals flock to this place. I had the Dinner Bell Omelet, and the wife had the oatmeal. Both of us said the food and service were excellent. My coffee never cup got near empty. The menu has the basics, which is all that is needed. They serve Coke products always a plus with me. The prices are excellent. My mother said the salt was decent. It had lots of bacon bits on it. She said the onion rings were better than some. She's had lately. I enjoyed the little double cheeseburger much better than a White Castle Beef tasted very real. The fish triangle was pretty good quality and I enjoyed it. I also had the tenderloin which was season nicely and a pretty good size chunk of pork. Of course I have a soft spot for these very vintage type of diners. I would suggest anyone looking for something not too fancy but very affordable to pop in they don't really keep the hours. This is a dirt cheap greasy spoon that's open for breakfast and lunch only (I don't understand why it's called The Dinner Bell). The menu is pretty limited (eggs, bacon, sausage, burgers, etc.) but reasonably priced. Burgers are about $2 each, but they're tiny so order at least 2. Sandwiches come with pickles and onions. Lettuce, tomato, and mayo cost extra. Fries and onion rings are straight out of a bag from the freezer. If you're in town and need a no-frills lunch for under $8 which is a step above fast food, this is the place to go. read more

This is such a unique little diner! This type of dining experience is rare in todays world. I love their potato salad! The hamburgers are similar (In size) to a White Castle burger, so you may want to order two or three or a double burger. read more

Casual cooking with loads of character inside the diner. Homemade cream of wheat was delicious, they make slow cooked oats too. Toast grilled on the griddle, omelet made with three eggs, all prepared as we watched from the bar stools and were easily identified as non locals, place was filled by 8a with locals, just the was a diner should be. Great small town diners are getting harder to find. This little gem is worth the stop. There are no surprises here, sit where there's an open table or seat at the counter, the menu is straight forward and the staff are friendly as can be. Our party had breakfast and everything we had was delicious and prices are cheap. If you don't see it in the menu I'm sure the staff can make it if they're able to. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area. Ask about the "Big Nasty" if you're looking for a big burger to fill you up, it's not on the menu. read more

I came here during breakfast hours and I must say the food was good. I ordered two eggs and sausage with a side of cheesy home fries and grits. The meal was satisfying and reasonably priced. The lady who took my order was friendly and provided great service. They take credit cards for convenience and don't charge any additional fees for use. read more

Hometown diner. Country style restaurant... Long and narrow. Family run, really nice folks. I would guess they've got about fewer than 10 tables and breakfast bar seating. While I dinner have it, the popular item seems to the sliders. Tons of people ordering them. We had breakfast. Classic diner menu, nothing out of the ordinary. I watched my omelet getting prepped and noticed all ingredients being grilled and then egg poured on top and cooked together, then folded. It was pretty good. Biscuits and gravy good as well. Dinner Bell is a local secret;) A truebhole in the wall Gem. Lots of good reviews here for breakfast which I have never had. To me they are famous for their Mini Burgers. As bad as White Castle burgers are these are over the top good. You can create what you want here. Cheese burger, Double burger, Bacon whatever. It is small and homey like.
