Came in on a very busy Sunday morning but was sat pretty quickly at the bar! I ordered the Loaded Biscuits. It was pretty good albeit hard to mess up in my opinion. The only downside was that it came with sausage gravy, so I expected chunks of ground sausage in it, but there was nothing. So not the most filling meal with just the bacon bits as your sole protein. For that reason I don't think the price is great but this is Disney area so I expected it to be on the pricier side. The restaurant was clean and bright and the food came out fairly quick. read more

We arrived to the Diner on a Sunday aroud 11 AM. It was PACKED & the host took our information and advised that there would be a wait of about forty minutes. He also mentioned that they would send a text and we would have five minutes to return to the host stand to claim the table. Because we did not want to stand for 40 minutes, we opted to kill time by going to the Publix and sit in the outdoor plaza chairs. After waiting for 40 minutes to eat breakfast we received the text, but our table was given away because the host said we did not return to the stand in a timely manner. It was not until I showed him that the text alerting us that the table was ready did not come through more than 5 minutes before we arrived (after waiting in the line again to get to the host stand BTW), that he worked quickly to find us a spot to sit. This was annoying because we saw at least 4 empty tables available to accommodate our party of three. Once seated, we were not in the mood for breakfast anymore because it was noon. The waitress was friendly and made good recommendations. There were not a lot of lunch options, but they had some convincing simple ones that worked for what we had a taste for at that point. We decided to order gyros and my son wanted a hamburger. My son loved his burger and it was a great size (big). My gyro was delicious although I wished that they would have chopped the lettuce down into skinnier spirals rather than the larger wedges of iceberg. The fries were fresh and cut into thin wedge-like shapes with just enough crisp and a balance of softness. I decided to order the chicken and waffles to go for the next morning (don't recommend doing that because it tastes better fresh and the waffles were a bit dry the next day, the chicken lacked salt) Overall, the lunch food was good and our server was friendly, but the seating issue with the wait time affected our experience. I recently had to travel to Orlando for a wedding and my hotel didn't offer breakfast so I took a drive to visit The Diner (where else would a guy from Jersey want to eat?). I sat at the counter (the place wasn't full, but I didn't want to take a table) and Maye (I think that was her name) greeted me and brought me some coffee (badly needed) while I looked over the menu. I ordered a Ham and Swiss omelet, subbed in grits for the potatoes, and rye toast. The food came out fairly fast and was delicious. I rarely find grits at home so whenever I cross the Mason Dixon Line and I see them on the menu...I'm ordering (four years in the Army back in my younger days taught me to LOVE grits). It was a simple, but delicious breakfast and I didn't have to pay Disney prices ). The service here was excellent...and friendly, the place was very clean and bright and there was plenty of parking (it's in a strip mall). . This place was so fun! They got us seated right away and we got our food within about 20 minutes which was so fast! My husband loved his meal! Mine was gigantic! OMG this place was A GREAT FIND. This spot is located in a shopping mall (with a Publix, my favorite). Unfortunately they are constructing in the parking lot but there are plenty of parking spaces. When you walk inside it does look like a typical diner. It is very spacious and I was lucky enough to be seated right away when I got there. First off the service was a 10. My server was super sweet attentive quick and helpful. She helped me pick things out in the menu. When I looked around and saw all the dishes my mouth was watering. My oldest child had the avocado toast which looked outstanding! He ate it quickly and said it was amazing. I shared the chicken and waffles with my other kids and let me tell you I STILL had left over. It was large and so tasty. I also ended up having a mimosa, which when i come back I would like to try their other mimosa flavors. Great breakfast spot to hit up in Orlando. I know the same ones get busy all the time. My wife loved the decor and how clean and modern everything was. The music playing was a mix of 90's-today R&B and Rap; we were totally grooving. We ordered French Toast, Pancakes, Bacon, Omelettes. I had two omelettes for myself and the Cory had a hilarious reaction. Super fun guest interaction here. The food was more than PERFECT! The pancakes were fluffy, French toast delicious, bacon crunchy, potatoes soft and fresh, and the omelettes were larger than usual and really tasty. I have been wanting to check out @ The Diner for years but we're just never on the touristy side of town. Well, our opportunity finally arose and we made it in! The hostess was a little on edge when we arrived but we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes which was no problem. In actuality we waited less than 10 before I got a text saying our table was ready. Our server was very nice but kind of robotic, he made sure we were taken care of but there wasn't much personality there. I ended up ordering the special which was cinnamon toast french toast with eggs and sausage + potatoes and my bf got the sirloin and eggs with potatoes. My meal was good, it wasn't wow like I was expecting (I guess my hopes were high because I've been seeing pics of their breakfast items for years.) I enjoyed it. My bf said his sirloin was pretty fatty so he was kind of disappointed. I wanted to try the cereal pancakes like I've seen but it just seemed like so much sugar so I couldn't bring myself to do it. We had no problems getting a table on a Tuesday morning (New Year's Eve Day) at 8:45 am, but there was a line when we left at 9:30 am. Our order arrived and it appeared to look good however cutting into the Steak you could tell it was a bit over cooked from the medium requested and it was a tough cut of meat, really kind of disappointing, eggs were alright and served with 1 piece of toast cut in half. All condiments are on the table. Pepsi products and mimosa are available. Gender neutral restrooms. The service is great. It was a busy Mothers Day service and they accommodated our party of six. Our server, May, was wonderful. Pleasant and attentive. The food was good, but I give 3 stars for an incident that had nothing to do with May. I ordered the turkey club and my fiancée watched it come from the kitchen (open kitchen/counter set up) and go to a nearby table. The patron ate a fry off the plate and the server returned to say that's the wrong sandwich. The brought the sandwich back to the kitchen and put on our table's tray and came to me. Luckily my fiancée saw it and demanded it be redone. Initially the runner gave a 'yes yes there was an issue but it is ok' and my fiancée clarified, 'no. You gave that to the other table and they ate off it'. He apologized. Took it back and May returned apologetic and they would redo. I'm at the last bite of the first half of the sandwich, I see a long string that isn't a hair but something. Couldn't figure it out, it was incorporated into the sandwich either way. I put it to the side and shrugged it off. I started on the second half. By the end of that half, definitely a hair that was not mine. I'm certain because I have a very tight curl. No, I didn't say anything, I already ate any other hairs or strings. Everyone else said food was good. The chicken tenders were good but not as juicy as Publix. They do make to order and you could tell. Biscuits and gravy were great! I give a maybe because of the incident. A maybe cause May was great and I'm a stickler for customer service. I love how you can customize so many options with various cereals to turn classics into something unique. Also they have pog juice (passion orange guava) which is one of my favorites.
