Any other time we would leave but once we arrived the host stated that they were preparing our table, just to finally sit 65 min later. Our server was a little off putting. We came in with a group of 6 after an early morning 5K at Sea World! It's about a 10 minute drive from the park. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The decor is minimalist and there is a big open space for tables with a bar area and two single restrooms. After being seated it took a few minutes for a server to get our order so we ordered drinks and food at the same time. Everything came out quickly. My iced mocha was good, very sweet as they add extra chocolate. My passion fruit guava mimosa was good! It was filled to the brim which I appreciate and the single serving was $8. I had a great first experience here, but this time the service was not so great. The waitress made it seem like a hassle when she forgot to bring out a condiment I initially asked for when ordering. My turkey club didn't have bacon but she was nicer when she had to go get that. I'm always polite, by saying please and thank you when dining out, no matter the service. My please and thank you's were met with nothing but her walking away. We drove an extra 45 minutes here from our original destination. I will never do that again. From what I've heard, this spot really shines at breakfast--so that's likely the better choice. The service, though, was excellent. In Florida, one would expect to be able to find decent Huevos Rancheros. And one would be highly mistaken if they tried to order it at this place. What came was a mountain of potatoes, fried eggs on top and a whole lot of avocado. Not one tortilla! The Southwest omelette had no sauce and was overcooked and dry. I don't like potatoes. Never have, but I get Huevos Rancheros anytime I can find them on the menu. I was so disappointed when this came that I wanted to send it back. The owner came over and was obviously not happy, and told me that was their version. Instead of being nice about it (she was very obviously annoyed), they did replace my meal with a Veggie omelette, which was barely edible. it was obviously thrown together quickly with very little in it. This is not a place I would ever go back to again, both for food, service and attitude. Very disappointed, because there are many breakfast places we like in Orlando. Pity we wasted our time and money in this one. UPDATE: Owner responded to this review with a sarcastic response. If you call something well-known everywhere by a certain name, you should be prepared to deliver that. I just went online and looked at a dozen recipes for Huevos Rancheros. Not one did not have tortillas in the recipe or black beans. I didn't pay attention to whether they had potatoes or not, but none would have a mountain of them. This dish in no way, shape or form resembles Huevos Rancheros, only that they made something and decided to give it that name. I've had them everywhere. The sarcastic answer here doesn't endear the manager to anyone and reflects poorly on how they treat customers. This place is so good!! The furniture is just a bit outdated and the seats were cracked, but I knew the food was going to be delicious. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was outstanding! We were helped by Nicki I believe that was her name (she said she also goes by the nickname mickey mouse) I was traveling from California, but decided to stop here before I went back home. Loved! Well worth the 1 hour wait. The focus at this restaurant was def on the service and food oh and coffee! I love my coffee strong which is usually a problem at other breakfast spots I have patronized. I found this place on Instagram, and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out before our Universal Studios visit. We got seated relatively quickly since it wasn't too busy when we got there. They have a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. I decided to have their caramel latte and to eat I went with their street waffle taco. I thought the concept was a cool idea. My boyfriend ordered the vanilla latte and the rib-eye steak with eggs. The coffee was pretty good. We failed to ask if they had alternative milk, but the vanilla latte was good, not too sweet. The caramel latte was overly sweet imo. The food was decent. The waffle was kind of dry, but the carnitas were full of flavor. The potatoes were overly salted. My bf liked his steak and eggs, but also agreed the potatoes were not his favorite. Our server was wonderful. I didn't catch her name, but she was very nice and constantly got us water. Waffle Tacos?! That's something new for us! This breakfast / brunch diner is roughly 2.5 miles south of our hotel in the Lake Cay Commons area. Great location, and you could tell it was popular because we had to wait about 15 minutes for a party of two. It was full and busy, but not too bad as we approached the end of the brunch rush. I ordered an apple juice and the Waffle Tacos with chicken carnitas. It also included house-seasoned potatoes, garlic cilantro sauce, pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese, and scrambled eggs. Although the waffle was a little crispy on the ends, the combination of the components, along with the sauce, worked well together. The potatoes were flavorful and having a little slice of pineapple was a sweet add-on. Overall, I was satisfied with the food, service, and location. The staff were friendly and attentive. I visited based on a recommendation from a fellow Yelper! Went in on a Saturday morning, there was a 35 minute wait time for 2 people and they do not do reservations. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes. Sat down and waited about 10 minutes before our server came over to greet us and take out drink orders. You could tell they were very busy! The ambiance of the restaurant feels and looks just like a beachside diner. They do offer mimosas which was nice. I ordered the chicken and waffles with turkey bacon and cheese grits.
