The absolute worst place to have your phone repaired at. The technician/owner is totally unprofessional. My phone was working completely fine just the screen that broke. Brought my phone in for a screen replacement and it started to have issue after he replaced it. It froze and shut down every 5 minutes. I called and let him know the issue and brought my phone back the next day but he refused to do anything about it. He said that it pretty normal for a phone to start having issue after the screen's replaced. Like the hell not! I blame myself for not checking the reviews before hand and check if he has warranty on repaired items like all other places should have. Don't bring your phone here. Don't compare his price with others because he is unprofessional and you'll get what you pay for. Rather bring your phone to a place where they guarantee to fix it or even if they couldn't, they still take full responsibility instead of telling you to buy a new phone. Don't waste your money here because you'll end up have to pay more to go somewhere else or worst case have to buy a whole new phone like I did. So instead of replacing "just the screen", I ended up replacing the whole phone. Lesson learned! read more

The absolute worst. Had a bad feeling immediately after placing an order for a replacement phone screen & suffering a long and drawn out explanation about "and then the glue needs to dry for 3 hours" after he did the repair. I asked to just cancel the order - we're talking within minutes of him taking the order, before I even left the store - and he just pointed up to a sign that said "no refunds" and informed me that he couldn't possibly cancel it because he has a policy of no returns after he writes the receipt for an order. How is he still in business. What a practiced jackass. I said alright, came back the next day when it was supposed to be there, and it had been delayed. Really having a bad feeling now, I decided I'd never go back and went elsewhere for the repair, then immediately called my credit card company to dispute the Device Medic charge of $269. I had to wait 3 days before I could file the dispute. Meanwhile, the other phone repair store actually got the screen in the next day and fixed my phone in under an hour, with no crazy talk about any glue needing to dry for 3 hours. To this day, Paul, the owner of Device Medic, has still not called to tell me the part has arrived. How about that? I already knew I wasn't walking back into that store, the guy gave me the creeps, but unfortunately at this point my credit card is siding with him because he was able to provide the paperwork with my signature on it, and his "instant no return policy" in writing. I remember, this is still for a part I don't have and labor he never did. Unfortunately, we often don't often read negative reviews about a business until we're writing one. Buyer beware. I didn't have my guard up before the "trap" was set. After reading reviews of his business online and seeing his insidious, infuriating responses, it is clear I'm not the first person he has treated like this, and I won't be the last. read more

They will rip you off and take your money for nothing. Pushy, sleazy salesmen who will lie straight to your face, while smiling. They will mention products you have no interest in buying and ramble on when you attempt to end the conversation. I can't believe I hate a small business more than Verizon. Story: I brought my phone in because it wasn't charging. They claimed to change the battery (after I ignorantly handed them $60) and said they couldn't do it and wouldn't return the money. I asked about the phones they had to offer and asked them to hold onto a phone coming in. When I found a better deal at Verizon, I politely called them to inform I wasn't going to take the hold (only half and hour after I said I'd be there). Instead of just saying thank you for your business, they started yelling at me, with the audacity to say that holding the phone was part of the contract I signed and that I owed them money. I left a 4 star review of this place because years ago they changed a screen for me. This place has really been run down, especially by the smarmy, insidious man by the name of Skyler. TL;DR: DO NOT ENTER. They are even worse than Verizon, and that says a lot. read more

Terrible experience. Had an i-phone screen replaced. First, the screen had a white spot. tried going back but they were closed in the middle of the day when they were supposed to be open. Went back again, still closed. The phone case wasn't fitting properly so I took it off and found one of the screws that holds the charge adapter backed out. It couldn't have moved by itself as it was pushing on the case. Went to the store again on Fri 12/11/2020, AGAIN CLOSED! Called the number and got a recording saying they were closed expecting to get their PPE on Tuesday. Terrible excuse for not being open. They could have gone to any of the stores within 5 minutes of their store to get masks. The message continued with them providing a cell number for emergency use only, and stated in a very condescending tone that a broken screen does not constitute an emergency unless you are a doctor. WOW, A BUSINESS THAT DOESN'T WANT TO BE OPEN AND PROBABLY WONT BE FOR LONG WITH THEIR ATTITUDE. I went across the street to Spa City Repair and they tightened the screw and gave the phone back, no cost, even though I had used their competitor to replace the screen. GUESS WHERE I WONT BE GOING IN THE FUTURE. read more

I accidentally dropped my I-Phone in a flushing toilet and was sure it was ruined for good. I put it in a bag of rice to try to dry it out, but it was absolutely DEAD. I had no idea what to do when a friend suggested that I take it to Device Medics. I was skeptical, to say the least, but gave it a try. Skylar didn't promise me anything but said he would try to get it working. And, he DID! My phone is once again in perfect working order, with everything in tact. They're probably OK on phones and tablets, but they tell you up front that game consoles get LAST priority, and they MEAN it. $95 up front, not refundable, and a 10 month wait. No quibble with the repair, even though there turned out to be a deeper problem, but HORRIBLE customer service. read more
