WARNING: HOSTILE BUSINESS OWNER
If I could leave zero stars for this place, I would've in my Google Review. I'll start by saying I, unfortunately am without a vehicle so I found it convenient to be able to walk to the Day Spa, being that I live approximately a mile away. I have been a runner for 16 years and I am currently conditioning for a long distance race. I ran my 8.5 miles on the morning of my appointment, scheduled for 11am. Confirmed and all via their text service. I made this appointment about a week in advance. I show up 15 minutes early to greet the "owner" (she did not act professionally enough to be an owner) at the desk. I express I have an 11 am appointment. She checks the computer and states, its at 12. I immediately feel my face shift into an expression of discontent. I was ASTONISHED. How could I have created this approximately 1 week out and this be the case?
She could hear it in my voice and see my expression-I express is this how they run the business, shitty? I express my hip recently being in pain because I ran this morning and just walked here and she tells me "well, sounds like you shouldn't have been running if your hip is hurting" I expressed I received NO CONTACT telling me something had changed. She stated "Well what do you want me to do about it?" I said speak to the individual who was working that day. She STOOD UP, TOOK OFF HER SWEATER AND POINTED TO THE DOOR DEMANDING I LEAVE. Her voice was shaky, like her adrenaline had spiked. She was constantly, attempting to speak over me.
SHE WAS BRATTY, DISRESPECTFUL, AND not who you would think to be running a business with such a short fuse. She couldn't hardly handle the feedback and my upset as a first time "try it" client. Little does this "owner" know I was scoping out a new place to consistently go and spend MY HARD EARNED money to take additional, physical care of myself long term. I am also local to Jacksonville. I have worked with business owners as a banker and even currently as an Underwriter. I would NEVER wish a small business to close or put the owner in an even more financial bind, considering the time and amount of money it takes to run a business. Unfortunately, this woman doesn't deserve to serve the public. read more
