Taquila gave the best massage I've had in a long time. Her pressure level was perfect. Not too firm where it was uncomfortable, but also not too soft to where I couldn't feel anything. She alleviated a lot of the stiffness and soreness in my shoulders and back. Highly recommend her! read more

I think it's horrible that if you have a year long membership and don't extend it they charge you almost double the price for an hour if you decide to do a message there ever again!! Not to mention the worst experience of cancellation on a membership WITHIN the time frame required!!! Whoever runs this Company should be fired!!! There front desk folks are also very rude and show they obviously don't care about customer service at all!!!' 2 strikes is enough for me!!! Don't say you weren't fore warned!!!! read more

Both my wife and I had signed up for a membership SEVERAL YEARS ago. When our contracts were up, we cancelled due to lack of use. They called us back with a "promo" to reinstate the account for same monthly fee so we tried for a little while. NO NEW CONTRACT, NO SIGNATURE, just pay monthly fee again and start use. When we decided to cancel again for non use, we looked up cancellation procedure on the massage envy corporate website and followed exactly. We both received a not so pleasant call from "Ashley" who said we had a contract and refused to cancel our account. When we both stated that we never signed a new contract, she became defiant and said she "would look into it and call us back". For several more months, the account refused to be cancelled and we finally gave up and had to CANCEL the billing account credit card to stop the unwanted billing. No help from the store. No credits. Just attitude and refusal. Again, we never signed a contract. Buyer beware. Update: The business manager page responded to contact the franchise below. After three emails and multiple phone calls later, I have to do more work to resolve their problem???!!! No thank you. How about you have the franchise issue credits immediately to both me and my wife's credit cards, for 4 months of billing after we requested officially thru their process, then call and apologize for being unprofessional and rude. That would be a great start. I'm done catering. It's time for some action from Massage Envy not more time and energy to be spent by me. read more

Absolutely loved my experience at massage envy. Amanda was the main receptionist that helped My husband with the booking and choosing a package! My husband wanted to surprise me for Valentine's Day by gifting me a one hour massage and one hour facial! Facial Experience: Julie performed my facial and I must say it was a wonderful first experience. I've never had a facial before and don't have any type of regiment or use any creams or etc on my face. I told her my only goal was to rejuvenate my skin because it's been a bit dry due to the crazy cold weather in Florida and to leave with a glow. She accomplished just that. She washed, cleansed and exfoliated my face with amazing hand technique and even performed a hand and neck massage as we waited for the time regiments to take effect. Absolutely enjoyed my experience and it was worth every penny! Massage Experience: Audrey was my massage therapist and she performed a full body with the absolute perfect pressure. My favorite part was the hand technique she used on my neck. She was absolutely amazing and I felt like a brand new woman when she was done! Highly recommend! The massage lasted the entire hour and she was very nice! read more

Katrina is absolutely amazing and I will 100% return to her. I've had some good massages in the past and some really bad experiences but this one was probably the best I've ever had, she made sure that the pressure is good and kept me so well covered and used just the right amount of pressure. Usually with massages I can get a little touch over stimulated, but I wanted to add more time because it was perfect. She does slight stretching too and gives recommendations at the end, which is great! 11 out of 10 would recommend! read more

My name is Johnathan Jiang, I have been a loyal customer with your massage envy Harbor Village location in Jacksonville, FL for approximately 6 years now. My experiences in the past two years have been short of a good experience. My last experience on 1/12/25 was my last straw. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time @10:00AM to check in, waited in the member lounge until 10:08AM with nobody telling me anyone was running behind. I got up and went to the front desk and asked to cancel my appointment and also requested for a membership cancellation form. The member at the front desk did not ask me why I needed to cancel the appointment nor did she ask me why I wanted to cancel the membership. As I am filling out the cancellation form, the massage therapist finally comes out and calls my name, I kindly informed her that I was cancelling the appointment and she acknowledged me and walked back into the back. As I'm finalizing the cancellation paperwork I asked if a manager was on site that I could speak with and she informed me that no manager was present but would be in the next day. Upon hearing this is asked if she could let her manager know I was unhappy with my services and would like to discuss the matter before taking this up with corporate. She told me she would pass along the information and I would be receiving a call back the next day. Monday rolls along and I get no call. Tuesday rolls around and I still have no call, by evening time I decided to call myself, after multiple attempts In a 2 hour time span, I finally reach a member at the front desk and to my surprise a manager is not in again. The member I spoke with sympathized with me and told me she would be texting her manager to let her know I needed a call back As soon as possible. It is now Friday as I'm writing this and still not a call back. This is unacceptable, this customer service is subpar and I don't believe should be a reflection of your franchise group. I have not even gotten to the reason of my cancellation other than my last experience. The last two years now I've noticed a decline in customer care. I pay your membership fee on time every month without a beat and yet in order to schedule an appointment I must do it at least 2 weeks in advance, but when I do arrive, I make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes minimum before my scheduled appointment time so that no time is taken out of my 60 or 90 minute massage that I'm paying for. Well it seems like it's every massage therapist I have experienced in the last two years, they come and grab me from the lounge AFTER my scheduled appointment time. These times range anywhere from 3 minutes to up to 8 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Now they bring me in the room, take their time on coming back in after I undress and then proceed with the massage. What really grinds my gears is that every time my massage is concluded I check the time, tell me why my massage is ending 8 minutes before my 60 or 90 minutes is up. So let's do some math. If I book a 60 minute massage, how much of that 60 minutes am I really receiving? If I don't get into a room till 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment time and the massage doesn't start till 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and my massage ALWAYS ends 8 minutes before schedule 60 minutes of massage, I'm only really getting at most a 40 minute massage. So if my massage ends 8 minutes before my 60 minutes is up, what is the massage therapist doing for 16 minutes before they greet the next customer? Cause 16 minutes to wash up is ridiculous. The math is not adding up here and I would like a call from someone that can help me address this issue and make things right. Please give me a call @(904)318-4009 Loyal customer for 6 years Johnathan Jiang read more

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY A MEMBERSHIP HERE!!! Due to a family emergency my mother was not able to use the monthly credits. Turns out we have over $1K worth of credits. When I called in October the manager assured me that if I filled out a form, they would freeze my account for 6 months and that I would only have to pay $20 per month during that time. She offered this so that my mother would have time to use the credits. I signed and sent the form back. The next month I noticed only $20 came out so I assumed they were honest. Come to find out today, the very next month after that they went back to charging me $75/mo. I was charged $75 for Dec, Jan, and Feb. When I called to ask they said that manager explained it wrong and that she no longer works there and the only thing they could do was send me a new form to sign saying I could pay $20 for 6 months to allow time to use the credits. They will not refund me. Somehow, they find this to be an acceptable response. I tried to call corporate, but they don't have an option for you to speak with a human. Only to leave a voicemail or email. I am FUMING! read more

I was a member and visited this location every month for over nine years. A couple of years ago it was bought by a new ownership group and they drove this place into the ground. The facility is lacking and they treated their employees horribly, so I observed. I was a very loyal member until they drove my therapist Mike out the door. He was phenomenal, had experience with NFL teams as a therapist and really knew his stuff. He was in super high demand and I am so grateful that I recently found him at Evolution Body Works. I am canceling my membership here because ME Harbour Village and ME Jax Beach have just gone completely down the toilet. Wish corporate would realize this! read more

Management had no idea what they were doing, they charged me full price (60 min massage) and only gave me a 45 min massage. Customer ahead of me was overcharged $150, and she brushed off as if she didn't exist. DO NOT waste your time nor money with them, they are horrible. read more

Place is a scam, Management is pathetic. Barely used any credits in last year due to covid, had accrued more than id use, so canceled membership, tried to transfer to someone I know that would use, said i could do 1 every 6 months, but they expire in 90 days, manager called me said I could do a few of them but they'd charge me. I had a terrible experience at this place and won't be returning. It was two of the worst massage experiences I've ever had. I had a gift card. The counter staff didn't make me feel welcome at all and even forgot about me in the lounge, which cut into my appointment time. The massage therapist asked some inappropriate questions that made me uncomfortable and then made me feel worse by saying they don't work with guys anymore. This information could have been handled better with the booking staff and not me the client. Pricing was unclear and not explained during my first visit. I still had money left on my gift card is the only reason I came twice. My second visit wasn't much better; I requested a therapist with a heavier touch, but they barely applied any pressure, and both times, they focused on my legs instead of my requested areas, which were my neck and back. I would give zero stars if I could. They'd have to pay me to come back. read more

I headed over here for the Veterans Day special that Massage Envy was hosting. Each other location had a wait list of 50-70+ people and this location had appointments still. I arrived early, filled out my paperwork, and was called in immediately. My masseuse was very skilled and we had a pretty good chat during the duration. Sometimes I like to chat during my massages and other times I don't. I'm glad this time that I had a massueuse that didn't keep me gabbing the whole time. Honestly, my only qualm is that I wish she concentrated more on my back like I had asked. I can't complain too much as it was complimentary, but my back is feeling like I shouldn't have even have gotten one if it wasn't the main focus. In any case, though, she is good at what she does and her style reminds me of the masseuse that I would see when I was stationed in Italy. I will keep her in my mind next time that I'm looking for a massage. read more

I love this place. I must say the atmosphere is calming and smells great :). I usually just book with whomever is available, but from now on I will always request Mike. I had the best massage ever. He actually LISTENED to me and focused on the areas that I told him about. Sometimes people just rub, rub, rub.. like they never heard what I asked them to focus on... so I was very thankful that he listened. I am going again tomorrow, which is only like four days from my last massage. He is that good! My son came with me and had a back facial, and Victoria was great. She was friendly and worked well with my 13 year old. She had good tips for him to improve his skin and we were very appreciative for that. I have been a member here for years and I will continue to go here. I have never tried anywhere else, but there is no need to with this wonderful place! read more

Had a facial with Julie today and it was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the little shoulder and neck massage that came with it. She did a great job, was very informative and made me feel comfortable during the one hour session. It's been about 9 years since my last massage and WOW Brianna blew it out of the water. I wanted firm pressure and she definitely knew exactly what I wanted and needed. To have the skill of reading a persons body is very necessary in this industry and Brianna did just that. Not once did I have to ask for any change in pressure or position. She should really get the credit for me signing up for a membership, because I had zero intentions of doing so when I walked into the building. Front staff was kind- I've seen some negative reviews and I'm unsure if there may be different staff than usual, but they were nice and informative. read more

I got a Massage Envy membership in 2019. At the time, the monthly membership fee was $60. In March 2021, I got an email that Massage Envy was raising the rate to $65, which I found to be reasonable after a few years. In March 2022, Massage Envy raised the rate again, to $70. This time I did not receive any notification, but didn't think too much of it. My massage therapist is excellent, but notification would have been nice. Now in March 2023, shocker, Massage Envy raised the rate yet again, to $75. Again, no notification. Mind you, this is a TWENTY-FIVE percent increase over 3 years, with no notification. I know inflation is bad, but come on. This time, I called to address the issue with management. As a show of good faith, and to keep me as a customer, the woman I spoke to said they would waive the monthly fee for April 2023, which would actually result in me paying the equivalent of $68.75 per month for the year instead of $75. That's all she said, and she apologized for the lack of communication regarding the steady rate increases. I was satisfied with this response and did not cancel. Fast forward to yesterday, and instead of my usual charge of $33 for an extra 30 minutes at the membership rate, my credit card was billed for $98!!! At no time during the check out process did the clerk mention a $98 charge, and I was not asked to sign anything, nor was I asked to confirm any charges. I was completely unaware of the $98 charge until I looked at my account today. I immediately called Massage Envy and was told that one month ago, there was a "chargeback" the day after my regular monthly charge was billed to my account. I was told to call my Massage Envy home office about it, so I did. They told me that the employee that waived my monthly charge THREE MONTHS AGO was no longer employed there and to email the chain of emails with the employee that waived the monthly charge in April to some email address, so I did. The email response I got back was that they think the ex-employee meant to waive both the monthly charge AND the monthly massage service, which, while I am no rocket scientist, makes no sense at all. What purpose would that serve, to waive the fee and also cancel my monthly massage for April? Be serious. This employee proceeded to argue this position with me, again MONTHS after the fact, instead of just reimbursing the money they stole from me. On top of that, they also sent me a cancellation form this time, even though I did not request to cancel my membership. I simply asked for the charges to be corrected. I told them that if I did not have proof of reimbursement of the difference, $65, by 4pm today, that I would start filing complaints. And around 3:45, they told me that the card they have on file expired, which is hilarious since they just charged it excessively yesterday and those charges went through. They have two current cards on file for me, both of which they charge monthly, but they cannot use the same card they charged me without authorization YESTERDAY to refund me? Amazing. I replied to that email and as of now I have no response. There is no telling who else they have stolen money from by schemes like this, and by failing to confirm charges with their customers or by completely failing to even have their customers authorize charges. Don't let this happen to you. Go elsewhere. Massage Envy is nothing but scam artists and thieves. I will now be filing complaints with the BBB and CFPB, among others. It is not that hard to do right by your customers, but they're going to learn today. read more

I came in this evening in some pain and in need of a deep pressure massage. I booked my massage via the website before they opened. I booked with Nelson. Horrible experience here. I would not recommend coming to this location. They cancelled my appointment without contacting me and only found out when I arrived. The front desk associate refused to tell me her name or the manager's name or provide contact info for a manager or owner or someone that could ensure that I wouldn't be charged one of my membership credits. The desk associate went to the back to call the assistant manager, Taylor, where I overheard her distorted version while mocking me then hung up with her after over 5 minutes. I asked if i could just speak with Taylor so she called her again in front of me and asked Taylor if she would speak with me and Taylor apparently said no then laughed. Such a bizarre situation and unprofessional. No resolution or offer for any type of store credit or such was offered; not even an apology. I became a member of Massage Envy several years ago amd have accumulated a lot of points (sessions) so lately I've been trying to catch up and use all of my sessions (or tranfer them). While I'm not fond of the policy regarding transferring credits to friends and family, they have been willing to work with me. As far as Service goes, I have never been disappointed and have always had great massages and facials...some better than others but not a bad one ever. Today I had my second deep tissue massage with Michael and I have to say he's the best massage therapist I have had. I also got a facial, given to me by Emily. She's relatively new to Jacksonville. Have had nothing but problems with the front desk and management. Front desk is not properly trained and has told me the wrong information about my membership on several occasions. I do not recommend purchasing a membership for yourself or as a gift, stick to a gift card if you must. One of the front desk employees (Jaqueria) told me that I could go ahead and sign the cancellation form ahead of time, that way I'm not charged after my 1 year expires. I have been coming to this location for a couple of years now. For those that are not familiar or not comfortable with getting massages give this place a try. Don't be put off by one or two massages if the results are not what you dreamed of. Every therapist is different and communication with the therapist will only enhance your experience. Don't let them guess what you want. Tell them. You are paying right? Get it the way that you want. They are open 7 days a week so scheduling an appointment is easy. You can even do it online. Pick a time and the website tells you which therapists are available. A couple of clicks and your appointment is set. They have a couples room if you want to share the experience with someone else. They offer facials, foot scrubs, hot stone therapy, etc. There are two waiting rooms. I prefer the one inside where it is dark and you kind of get your mind ready for the massage. There are several varieties of teas, citrus infused water, granola bars, and mints while you wait. Come down and try it. You might end up with a membership like I did. Don't forget to drink lots of water to flush those toxins out! read more

Barely a year in Jax but so far I always have a good experience with Massage Envy - Harbour Village Location. Place is always neat and clean (and smells clean too!). Ambiance is appropriate for the purpose of your visit. Whether it is relaxation, massage, facial, etc. Receptionists are all nice and friendly. Finding your therapist can always be challenging; they can only help you if you tell them your needs and your preferences. I had a couple of not-so-good circumstances-- like my appointment was cancelled twice and had to be rescheduled. It was a bit tough because of the specific deep pressure I need and only a few therapists can render that and i'd had to work my schedule around; but it was more of an unexpected situation and they apologized for any inconvenience because of that. But since it occurred more than once with the same therapist, I wish they could have done more since my appointment got pushed back further than what I anticipated. Other than that, they have always accommodated my needs. The app is very helpful as well. Needs more enhancements though but it serves the purpose. From the time I started on this location I had two therapist and both are excellent. So far I'm sticking to my 2nd one that has a different style that I prefer. read more
