So.... what can i say about a doctor that i was referred to by my new family practice doctor…read morebecause we're new to the area and i need to ..? My first thought was why do they have these huge pink cut out arrows taped to the glass double doors that point around the building (which gives the impression to walk around tge building) and once we walked all the way around the building it was for the mammogram office. So we had to walk all the way back around the building. The next word that comes to mind is piss.. yup it reaked of straight up piss in this office. The next word that comes to mind is.. low income, teen pregnacies ( not to say that these things are bad i just didn't expect it) there were about 5 teens in their with their parent. One was a little older she was a young adult was about 19-22 she had 4 kids and was pregnant she was there with her mom. The mother of the young adult was talking to another teen and her boyfriend about ways to get free services like food stamps & government assistance then the plot thickened when she said "My daughter is living back with me... again and pregnant, again.." smh.. Some of the staff had ghetto nice nasty attitude like they're not happy with their jobs. With the acception of one receptionist that was fantastic and had a great personality and was helpful. Another thing that i didn't like.. was the signs.. That seemed to suggest that maybe their patients are not that bright, clueless or need signs to tell them what to do. But for me to read them it seemed very rude with most in all caps seemed to be yelling at me. They had signs everywhere that read things like.. PUT TRASH IN HERE PUT MAGAZINE'S BACK FLUSH THE TOILET PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR NO FOOD NO DRINK NO CELL PHONE & etc For doing ordinary things on bright colored construction paper written by hand in bold sharpie or typed up in bold letters. Some where there so long that they where fading and edges where curling up. What the Hell!! Was my next thought. This area is great so i didn't even google the business or read the reviews first like i always do. Smh Maybe the doctor is great i thought.. like my primary doctor suggested. But... idk.. I'm sitting ready to be called back. Its 2:49pm and my appointment was at 2:30pm So... I finally get called back.. Idk... i had to finish the nurses sentences like she couldn't get the right words to come out maybe i made her nervous i thought. Until i get in the room with the head nurse is training her on what to put in the computer.. After all the info was added i was asked to sit in the waiting area.. the chairs were... for the lack of better words unsatifactorty so i stood. For about 5 min then they brought me into an exam room. On the way to the exam room one of the nurses walked out of the office and said " Idk which one your talking about!" With a snappy attitude ) she asked "are you talking bout The black man!" and the other person (who i couldn't see) said yes. Anyway i did get to see the doctor. My overall experience was.... I don't know..... I have mixed feelings about this establishment so im willing to give it/them another try......... I hope my review was helpful and I hope you are having a wonderful day. SYOY

No one informed me that the woman performing the insertion would be unable to administer a cervical block (which was recommended by friends and family who had the procedure done there as well). I let it go, but upon meeting the doctor performing the insertion, I was quickly annoyed. She was incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns. She was unable to properly insert the IUD (not due to fault on her part), however she continued to try, leaving me in extreme pain and uncomfortable. Given her dismissive remarks at the beginning of our meeting, I was not sure when I should call it quits. Finally, I started crying from the pain and she stopped. I then attempted to schedule another appointment. This process was drawn out over 2 weeks. First, I kept hearing the message that plays when the office is closed, even though they weren't. When I finally got ahold of someone they said they were working on it, but couldn't do anything to help me. I kept calling multiple times a day. Finally, someone got ahold of the scheduling people. They had a question for their supervisor and would call me back. Of course, no one did. As I said, this went on for 2 weeks until I finally managed to get an appt. I scheduled my next appointment through this office with the actual OBGYN downtown. My appointment was set for a specific date that I would be able to travel into town as a college student and at 8:30am. I made the trip back to town and never received a confirmation call as I normally did with the office. So I called the day before my scheduled appointment and was rudely told the appointment was for 2pm the next day, not 8:30am, still downtown. Annoyed, I said okay and made new plans to get downtown. Upon getting to the downtown office, the receptionist informed me my appointment was actually TWO weeks away. I was incredibly frustrated given that I had JUST confirmed the day before. Fortunately, the downtown office was incredibly understanding and squeezed me in. The Mandarin office is, however, incredibly unprofessional. The medical team made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed, while the remainder of the staff was continuously rude over the phone and failed to inform me of appointment changes that they were making without consulting me.

Joanna was an absolute godsend. We (my husband and I) ended up with unexpectedly high risk…read morepregnancy and Joanna was there every single step of the way. She was so KNOWLEDGABLE and WISE about pregnancy, birth, child rearing, and homeopathy and naturopathy.  As for my story: I found out I was pregnant with twins in July 2018, and although we envisioned an unmedicated natural birth, we ended up in an emergency C-section at 7 months, due to placental blood flow issues. Let me how Joanna helped us surmount these incredible challenges...  Joanna helped me build a list of questions for providers, and was my strength when I needed to switch providers to one that much better matched my desires. Joanna showed me that I could STILL have the sort of birth I wanted, even if it wasn't in a birth center.   I called her before and after nearly every single appointment, because each new appointment left me feeling swamped with information and not sure how to sort my own feelings out. Joanna helped us work through all the questions and desires and expectations we had about the pregnancy. S helped my family with all the thousand mundane tasks of deciding on the best multivitamins, planning a diet around nausea and appetite loss, tricks for keeping up fluid intake.. She also kept us from freaking out every little scare--speaking me through experiences of spotting, discharge, and movement as natural parts of the pregnancy and birthing process. We traveled alot, and this meant alot of minor scares in a lot of different cities, and she was there for every call, email, text, and video chat, counseling us in every sense of the word. In December, Joanna worked with us in Fernandina Beach, teaching us a slew of methods for stretching, massage, and pain relief as the twins began to really put pressure on my hips and back.  Drawing from her experience raising three babies by herself, Joanna taught us all about cloth diapering and other earth-friendly approaches to parenting, which was amazing!   Unfortunately, when I was in Philadelphia a few weeks later, the doctors found restricted blood flow in twin A.  It got worse very rapidly, leading us to decide on an emergency cesarean within 72 hours, before the steroids for lung development could even take full effect.  Joanna stayed on the phone with me so much during those 72 hours, video chatting in, as we met with groups of high risk doctors, NICU nurses, and went through test after test. The twins were born at 32 weeks, and our son's apgar scores were 1,2, and 4 (these are very low). NICU was a harrowing experience and there was intense medical pressure to take every intervention possible. I would have felt totally shamed and alone if Joanna wasn't on the phone with me so much, INFORMING me and EQUIPPING me with research about kangaroo care, the value of colostrum for preemies, and their far better outcomes on breastmilk, as well as the need for me to take care of my mental health by seeking a psychiatrist and a therapist. With her help and guidance, I demanded that the twins receive donor breastmilk and I pumped and pumped and pumped.    At 6 months in, we are still going strong, I am providing enough breastmilk for both of them, cloth diapering, AND working full time, while also NOT feeling completely insane (most of the time). It was so emotionally VITAL to have Joanna's support in the tremendously difficult postnatal period. We feel so lucky Joanna was there for us, and it has allowed us to look back on that difficult period of time as one to be proud of.

First when she contacted me after I was able to find her she made me feel so comfortable with her. She is very down to earth and real and understanding when it comes to anything. She answered all of my questions and even sent me verified articles on the information that we discussed. She helped me through the planning process of what I wanted at my birth. She asked me questions that I never would have thought of and it made me feel so at ease that she knew so much and wanted to help me birth my way. She did research on every worry I had and helped me put my mind at ease. She took notes on everything I wanted and put it into a customized birth plan. She helped me to think of everything i could safely do and she let me in on all the freedoms I have as a mom in the birthing process. I told her I wanted a natural birth and I needed someone to stand up for me and she did just that. She made sure I had everything I wanted and she consulted with me first before letting the doctors just do whatever they wanted. She talked to me, she came over to my home for a whole day and night and watched me through the night to watch my contractions. She was on call for me. She massaged my ankles and back and had some amazing techniques to dispel the contractions when the came on hard. She helped to coach my husband so he could help me. She is overall an amazing doula and someone you need on your side. I had a totally natural birth and she stuck by my side and made our family feel so confident and comfortable I will recommend her to anyone and everyone. Don't doubt the powers of this doula! She is awesome, intelligent, caring, professional, and she just fits right into our family! I love her for helping me!

These were charges the office knew Medicare would not cover, yet no one informed me in advance or asked if I wanted the service. Instead, I was simply billed. When I contacted Medicare, I learned this was not new -- and that the office was well aware these services would be denied based the medical code that was used. When I complained, I was told it was a co-pay, but both of my insurances confirmed it was not. I waited almost three weeks for an honest explanation, but none was given. In the end, I paid the bill just to close the matter. After this experience, I can no longer trust this office. Medicare patients should be very cautious -- you may be charged for services without your knowledge or consent.

Massages are a very personal type of a treatment I prefer massage massages for relaxation, and I feel that they just jumped right in without easing you into the massage and started very fast and very hard. I guess if that's what you're looking for. It's perfect. Their prices are very fair especially if you join their membership. I know they will get up and walk on your back if you ask them to or want them to, but I just found it was not relaxing and the lady was moving her hands way too fast and too hard to be enjoying. I'm not sure why this has so many good reviews. I assume a lot of people like fast moving hands on their massages. I did ask her to slow down which she did, but it still was just uncomfortable. I don't feel that she massaged my muscles in a way that I typically would get them done. I also feel that she used way too much massage oil on me. It felt very slippery and it actually made noises. It is definitely an older location, so there is somewhat of a smell in the rooms. All in all, it just wasn't my cup of tea
