Massages are a very personal type of a treatment I prefer massage massages for relaxation, and I feel that they just jumped right in without easing you into the massage and started very fast and very hard. I guess if that's what you're looking for. It's perfect. Their prices are very fair especially if you join their membership. I know they will get up and walk on your back if you ask them to or want them to, but I just found it was not relaxing and the lady was moving her hands way too fast and too hard to be enjoying. I'm not sure why this has so many good reviews. I assume a lot of people like fast moving hands on their massages. I did ask her to slow down which she did, but it still was just uncomfortable. I don't feel that she massaged my muscles in a way that I typically would get them done. I also feel that she used way too much massage oil on me. It felt very slippery and it actually made noises. It is definitely an older location, so there is somewhat of a smell in the rooms. All in all, it just wasn't my cup of tea read more

I was referred in by a co-worker to this place and oh my, I think I've found my new massage spot. I lived in SoCal for years and never thought I'd find another great massage place again, but here it is! I saw Mary for a 90 min deep tissue and she delivered. I'm so sore today, but in the best way. I do not know how this place is in business! My appointment was for 9 AM. The business was not even open and the staff had not yet arrived. My massage finally started around 915 and I could tell immediately the therapist had no idea what she was doing. The manager asked another therapist to take over the second therapist was very sweet but again this did not feel like a professional massage. 15 minutes later, I decided to get up and leave as this was not helping, but rather making me feel worse. I do not agree with the payment policy as this should have definitely been refunded. This was one of the best massages I have ever had!.A full 60 minutes plus, the pressure was just right, my therapist kept checking in to verify that I was comfortable and that she was getting to the right spots. back in Richmond,a 50 minute massage wasnt even 50 minutes worth, this was 60 minutes and then some, the hot towel at the end was so relaxing -I felt like I needed to be driven home afterwards. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Sarah yesterday and all I can say is "Wow!!" I only wanted her to focus on my upper back, neck and shoulders as I had been in pain for weeks. Sarah is an amazing masseuse. I've had massages all around the world and Massage Magic is consistently in the top 3 I've ever had. They get my highest recommendation. The whole experience of the massage is perfect for me: consistent pressure throughout; time is taken for each body area - nothing is gone over too quickly. The speed is slow and methodical, so muscles get fully worked. The the strokes are full-length, for example all the way from head to the fingertips, which always gives me a feeling of entheos, or a light buzz. So I feel totally relaxed. It's not a spa setting, so don't be expecting that. (But I'm a little turned off by spas nowadays because they don't usually cater to guys, and I'd prefer a great massage over a nice spa anyway.) That said, they use lotion and not oil, which is great because I don't feel oily afterwards. And they use warm damp towels after the massage to clean your hands, feet, arms and legs, which leaves you feeling clean, it and also feels great! Go get a massage! read more

Honestly at first I was super skeptical of a little hole in the wall place like this. Scheduling online was super easy, they were friendly when I came in, and Sara's skills were better than the 200$ places I usually visit. She had super strong hands and made sure to check often enough if I was okay. It's incredible cheap compared to other places in the area and is well worth it. read more

I have four bulging discs on my neck, and constant knots on my shoulder and scapular borders. When it gets too bad I benefit from a massage. I have visited various places around here: Hand and Stone, The Elements, and Massage Green. All of them have been just Ok to not good enough for pain relief. I was in a lot of pain yesterday and decided to give Massage Magic a call. I was lucky enough to have Sara able to fit me in right away. I specified the areas that I was having trouble with and OMG OMG OMG. She was phenomenal. Great technique, was able to get deep pressure and work and work and work my many knots and trigger points. I am sooooooo much better today. I plan to get her membership and go twice a month, because once a month is just not enough to keep me loose. I feel very fortunate that she's so close.
