Went here on a Friday to grab some coffee and do some work for a little while. There is an extensive coffee list and I was impressed to see that they had two regular drip coffee options and two decaf drip options. Not everyday you get this many choices for drip coffee! The drip coffee is a little more expensive, but you do get one free refill. I didn't end up getting any food, but the baked goods looked fantastic and the food coming out of the kitchen also looked pretty good. The place was pretty busy when I first got there around 10, but then cleared out to just a few people coming and going. The wifi held out strong for my Zoom meeting and getting some work done. Overall, good coffee, lots of variety of food and drinks, and staff was very friendly. Decent place to stop in Marshfield for work, study, or just meeting up with friends.

Great, little trendy coffee shop with a zillion syrups and options. Plus terrific breakfast and lunch options. We had the sunrise sandwich and pancakes. The pancakes are gigantic, so you only need one. It's busy, so be patient! Good for kids, too!

Stopped in here with a friend for coffee and ended up having breakfast. Very friendly and helpful service. Food and coffees were exceptional. We will come back for sure.

The Daily Grind is still a nice non-chain coffee shop, but it's lost something over the years. It's still a homey-atmosphere, still has the same handwritten chalkboard menu, still has good vibe place of a spot to sit and chat with friends. But it doesn't have the same friendliness or welcoming feel, at least for my non-resident senses. The coffee drinks taste watered down so stick with the brewed coffee. The hot chocolate is still okay, but doesn't have the richness of flavor and isn't worth the price. On the other hand, the food is still good and worth the wait, although depending on the kitchen staff working on the day you order, it can be heavy-handed on the salt. I guess that's one way of making you order more coffee. The service has been the most disappointing thing. If you're a local you probably won't notice, because the locals always move to the head of the line. That's not an exaggeration -- but maybe it's because they're always there, but locals walk in front of you, drop off their money, chat with the employees who spend time chatting in return even while taking another person's order -- be prepared to be relegated to the end of the line. In short, it's the occasional visitors like me that get shorted on service. It's barely civil and staff act more like it's an interruption to their social hour. And cleaning your own table to help out so others can sit down? Don't bother. They won't thank you for doing it. Getting the guest wi-fi password for this spot is another adventure in "who the hell are you?" looks from the staff. Stop in, but lower your expectations. Come for the plain coffee and maybe a sandwich, but don't expect to be blown away by the customer service.

Breakfast, Sunrise Bagel, Hash-browns, sausage Pattie's, vanilla latte, strawberry refresher.

20mins for food to be presented, hash brows burnt (tasted like burnt popcorn), strawberry refresher was straight apple juice with water. I guess if you love sausage Pattie's this is the place to be. Friendly people, just wish the food was worth the price. Nice atmosphere though, it looks cute.

enjoyed a drink one drink was hot the other drink was cold. I joined them after this picture with an iced drink of my own.

A very good place to go iced coffee and fresh hot coffee of the day was a way to go we will be back. The service is really good. People are nice. Try to go twice a month but sometimes finances make it hard to go.

A cozy small, coffee joint that has delicious breakfast. I had a tasty scone and a tomato basil bagel, along with the grinder meal. The atmosphere here is warm and feels like home, unlike the colder commercial feel of chain coffee shops. I like what their doing here

We sat and waited for more than 40 minutes after our so called reservation. We were never asked if we wanted to sit upstairs or downstairs, but he was going to put us at a high top with two babies. That makes no sense at all! My neighbors were even there and asked for a downstairs table as they were elderly and couldn't get up the high stairs. They had to wait for almost an hour to get it. Unfortunately, we didn't even get to try the food, because the wait took so long. When I mentioned this to the manager, he literally yelled at us on our way out in front of everyone. What a wonderful memory of this place. He was a JERK. The place is adorable, but I would highly suggest to make sure you ask your customers if they want to sit upstairs or downstairs and their preferences before you decide to book a large group. Along with that, if you have people waiting for so long, at least offer them a water or something while they wait. I also heard from my Neighbors that their French toast was hard., the wait was long, and everything was overpriced for what you got. I would not suggest going here if you're looking to spend a half a day just waiting for just ok food.

We sat down and waited a considerable amount of time for our drinks. 10 minutes maybe. When we got our order in, it took about an hour to come out. Our waiter told us pretty much as we got our food that there was a wait because a big party decided to order a lot of food. I do not think it is fair to make a two top wait as long as what seemed to be a ten-twelve top to get their food. Those people were comfortable and (really loud...) and happy to sit and chat while my partner and I were already itching to leave thirty minutes in due to the noise... we got our food and luckily it was good and we wanted to order more but truly we decided it was not worth the wait due to all the people and fear of having a wait again. We promptly asked for the check so we can leave and go to Culver's. I would have appreciated a heads up about the wait as soon as they figured it would be a while. Not a minute before we received our food. I get that things run behind but they didn't look short on servers based on the space. Someone should have told us a lot sooner. And the noise, man... there's a point where you gotta tell people to quiet down.

I'm pretty sure it used to be Italian, And before that it was something else, but it does seem to have a new name every time I check into the attached Holiday Inn. Tonight's issue was all on poor management! Maybe I should change that to terrible management.... Hope they make some improvements or the restaurant will be a Tex-Mex or Asian theme the next time I come to town! I checked into the Holiday Inn and wanted to get a decent meal. Decided to give The Rivers a try. It was a pretty busy Thursday night, almost all the seats at the bar were occupied including a large party table with 8 guests. There was some kind of event going on in the banquet hall in back and the dinning area was a less than half full. I did find a seat at the bar and immediately noticed the poor bartender was overwhelmed. Not necessarily because he was a bad bartender, more because he just didn't have any help. I wasn't really in a hurry so I decided to stay. During my time at the bar I watched as waitresses came in to order drinks, and not even think to help. I also saw a guy that I'm going to assume was the manager come in to get some change for the back room party bar... and also did not offer any help. The bartender had to serve drinks and food to everyone at the bar, including the group of 8 at the party bar. The waitresses would come in with the food, but only stood there until the bartender came and got it from them.. gave no thought to actually serving to to a customer to help out. In fact when my food came in, I actually had to tell the waitress twice that it was my food before she reluctantly served it to me! They were also out of glasses at the bar. The poor bartender had to individually wash each glass as it came in so he could refill it! He also ran out of $10 bills, so anyone getting change got multiple $5 or singles! There were also a number of times that overflow guests from the back room decided they could come up and get drinks quicker at the bar. They were even coming up for water!! Poor bartender... Poor customers like me who's drinks were empty forever as the bartender washed a dirty glasses to fill them with water orders for the customers from the party in the back! Unbelievable! The food was okay. I had the Double BLT. I like it, except the toast (bread) had a little too much garlic. I also ordered their special Brat Cheese Soup (Which came out well after my meal... instead of before). When it did come out it was still warm, but it had that film on it that comes from sitting under a heat lamp waiting for one of the waitresses to remember to bring it out! The soup was a very salty, but I did like it. Oh yeah.. one more thing that ticked me off! Even though they are a Holliday Inn Restauraunt, their system is not set up to charge your bill to your room, which isn't that big of a deal. But I'm a IHG Point collector so I couldn't get my points!! Management better start advertising for bartenders or retrain their staff to help out, because your not only going to lose bartenders... your going to lose customers.
