This place ruined my friends hair, all he wanted was a trim up, they ended up giving him what looked like a buzz cut.

My haircut is horrible, she gave me a mullet!!!!! when I asked for a tapered, layered cut which all she had to do was follow the past cut. It is literally 1 inch long on the top and then the layers get very long, it's the weirdest cut I've ever had in my life. The salon blasts Country Western music. When I walked into salon no one said hello. I walked up to counter and stated I had an appointment with Jessica. She looked up from her phone and said oh that's me and didn't smile, nothing. I should have left then as the salon was tense filled. And obviously she cut my hair the way she wanted to. The only good thing about this is my hair will grow out read more

You ruined my friends hair, he asked for half an inch off but then they basically gave him a buzz cut.

Karen is the best along with the other ladies. I have tired other high in shops and still like this shop

If I could give this place a zero, I would! Really bad customer service! Jessica did my hair and she did a horrible job washing and conditioning my hair, she was so rough it felt like she was literally pulling my hair out and she made me wait with my hair color on for over an hour, and all the while she was doing other peoples hair, while she had me sitting with my hair color in my hair. All she did is talk and eating in between, please do not go to her, she was really bad at doing my hair! read more

Been going here for many years. Perfect cuts, never need to bring hat for the right after cut cover. Fairly priced, just would like if they took appointments. J. Mohs read more

Go see Karen, she is the best. She takes the time and understands the style I ask for. Twice I've gone somewhere more local to me and had to go to her to fix it. She could charge more and I would happily pay. read more

I have to say. Two of the ladies that work here, the thin roller derby feather/fish bait thing in her hair and the long blonde hair girl do a wonderful job. However I went in today and asked for a specific bang cut and the full figure bleached blond that wears her own bright aprons helped me. I showed the chick the picture THREE TIMES and when she asked if I wanted them above my eyebrow or below and I said BELOW and I wanted them long, just like the picture, she decided to chop my bangs above my eye brows and give me a fudged up rockabilly uneven look. I went from no bangs to the funky bang cut from Dakota Johnson on Anastasia Steele fifty shades of grey. I didn't want to pay her shit, but paid 10 dollars for this fucked ip style. I DID tell her ok, but only because I didn't want her butchering my bangs anymore than she already did! read more

The Cutting Edge Salon - I asked for the top cut. And ended up with the butchered bottom left, like that horrible Dakota Johnson from 50 shades of grey - Hair Salons Near Me - Visalia, California

Ok I don't know who allowed these people to cut hair but they obviously didn't do a good job at picking the right people for the job because the haircut I got was absolutely awful. I asked for a half an inch off the top and 1 faded to the top on the sides and the result made me look like a dying pineapple. Please do not go here, it is not a mistake I'm gonna make again. If the people that own or work there see this please shut down, you guys are not good at cutting hair and gonna continue to ruin people's confidence by staying open. Also the low rider jeans that one of the blonde ladies was not working and don't do it again. read more

This place gets it. I get my haircut at the Cutting Edge because it's a hair-affirming experience. Sometimes there's a short wait, but that's mostly because other people get "it" and are in the Circle of Cool People Who Also Get It. (A good haircut at a good price equals a great value. The math isn't hard.) I show them a picture of what I want, or tell them, and I get that haircut. Sometimes they make suggestions and they make my hair choices better because, you know, maybe they see something quirky or weird about my head that a better style may improve or something. I don't know. I'm not the expert. They are. And consistently I go there and I get a good haircut. It's simple. Getting a haircut used to be a scary proposition for me. I had an idea of what I wanted, I tried to describe it, and it never quite worked. I'd go to some fancy place. I'd pay a bunch of cash and walk out looking like a serious poindexter and I'd feel ripped off. I used to hide my head in a canvas sack, only go out at night, haunting the opera house, sleeping in the bell tower of the local cathedral ringing the bells, living the sad, dejected life of a common monster-person. But now, thanks to all the people at the Cutting Edge, my haircut looks good and I can walk the streets in the daylight and I feel great about who I am and the money I saved. And because I used my money wisely, I also feel smart. And feeling smart and handsome leads to self-confidence. And that self-confidence makes you a better, kinder human being. So go to the Cutting Edge. read more

My experience with this salon started about a year ago. I was never impressed with customer service, it is the worst I have ever had. They do not answer the phone, communication is by text only. I had made an appointment to have a perm the day after I came back from John Wayne Cancer for my screening. I walked in for my appointment, it was a Tuesday ,the 23rd of Nov, and Karen told me my appointment was yesterday. Not to mention she doesn'.t work on Mondays I said no it is today and she told me she didn't have time to do it. She asked to see my appointment card, I told her it was on the table at home. I came home to get it and took it back so she could see it. She didn't have the decency to apologize. She did the perm on Wens. I waited 6 days to wash my hair and after I I only had a bend in my hair. I went by the shop to show her and she said she would redo it. Fast forward to the first week of Feb. she gave me another perm and wanted to be paid for it. I said it was the redo she said she would do. I was told by a daughter of a friend, who is a stylist, not to get another perm for at least 6 to 8 weeks. On May 14 I texted her that I needed a perm and the text I got back was "Sorry, I am no longer doing perms". The weird thing about this is that someone I know is getting a perm from her. Save yourself from frustration and DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. If you want to be treated with respect and courtesy, go somewhere else . One of the other stylist chimed in "they had a week redo policy ". bet she wouldn't think that if it were her hair. read more

I have been going here for over 20 years, The staff are absolutely amazing ! proffesional , courteous and very friendly. When I move to fresno next year, im still gonna drive al the way here to get my haircut every 2 weeks. read more

This place is HORRID! Hair all over the floor, the owning yelling at her kids as they tan around. Appalling customer service, eating WHILE cutting hair. The woman literally cut four times for my trim (i counted) then charged me. And it was uneven to boot! Not that much cheaper than a salon but even Supercuts is better than this. read more

Great place to get a cut. Dayspring is awsome! Great customer service. So are the rest of the gals, Been coming to this place since 2003. Totally recommend them. read more

Fast and reliable service for (seriously only) $10.00! I love that l can walk-in on any day of the week and walk out with freshly trimmed hair...usually in under 30 minutes. Dayspring has been cutting my hair for at least 10 years and l can't imagine ever going back to my $70.00 per cut stylist. I have long, wavy hair and she's one of only a few people that get it right. My husband and brothers all go now and my nephew loves it. I appreciate the down-to-earth atmosphere...It feels like family. read more

price is good. only reason i kept coming back. customer service is terrible. very disorganized. not worth it to me. rather pay more for someone who cares and doesn't give attitude. read more

Don't waste your time. Poor customer service, it doesn't look like any one does any housekeeping, and screwed my hair up one too many times. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

Dayspring is really sweet and really friendly and works with a really good staff. Can always trust my hair will come out a 10.

My first time i wanted to color my hair i did it here. Big Mistake! I had to come in two days later cause the color had turned yellow like it was just bleached. I went in and the girl fixed it. But not even 5 days later the blonde was noticeably there again. She over charged me and over bleached my hair. What a shitty place. read more

Worst customer service ever. Waited 30 min for cut & highlight touch up. When it was my turn I got "there's only 2 of us. We can't do color until other girl gets here at 1." It was 12:58. 3rd girl showed up at 1:40. She had food so they all proceeded to eat at the desk. An hour an 20 min later I gave up & left. The price and no appointment needed is all that kept me going back. Never again! read more

They don't do a bad job, but their customer service is terrible! If customer service is your thing don't step foot in this place. I wish they would improve their customer service I'd give them a ton of business cause they're cheap too. I would rather pay $20-30 for a haircut then $10 with attitude. Work on those customer service skills ladies, acknowledge your customers, that means the world to some. read more

This place was recommended by a coworker because of the price ($10.00). So I tried it and was hoping to get a decent cut to my liking. I informed the blonde lady to the specific cut I wanted. She ended up giving me a generic haircut that SHE wanted. So basically she ignored my request. Just a basic common trim. Was not happy, but what can you do. A year later, decided to try them again. Hoping for the best. I arrived there at straight up 4 pm. They usually close at 6. There was a sign on the door stating it was closing that day at 4. The door was not locked, so I asked her if she was taking anymore. She said no and pointed at the sign while she serviced a customer. I guess my face showed disappointment because when the door was closing she stated "aw, don't cry" to her customer I guess to be funny. Really. Instead of accepting another paying customer, she would rather turn him away than take the business. I would say that is bad business etiquette. So needless to say I'll be scratching that place off my haircut places. Should of learned the first time. read more
