OMG!!!!! Tuoi is so nice! So today, I wanted to cut off some extra parts of my hair because it bothers me a lot! I searched for a salon around me. All I needed was a trim, but I was worried that a cheap haircut wouldn't turn out nice. However, I wasn't planning to pay $70 just for trimming my hair. I found this place and was kinda worried at first. However, Tuoi was so nice and listened to my concerns. I think she did a great job! When I saw Tuoi cut the guy's hair before me, I felt less worried. She did a pretty good job. When it was my turn, she asked me how much I wanted to cut. She cut about one inch, and then I said maybe cut a little more, so she cut a little more! She even merged the layers for me, so the back wouldn't look like two layers apart and awkward. read more

Well..... I was disappointed with my haircut As I did not get what I asked for. I asked Gemma for long layers in the front as well as in the back of my hair which is mid back. Just when I thought she was done with my haircut, I had to tell her to layer my front more it looked like she gave me a long bangs and there were no layers around my face. Not happy, The supposed layers she gave me on my face are very uneven and I have no choice but to wait until they grow out again. look at my picture, those look like long bangs not layers. However, my granddaughter got her haircut that same day by Sophia, and she did an amazing job on her haircut. My next hair trim will definitely be by Sophia. Eunice is amazing. My hair was completely discolored and messed up from store-bought-self-colored-gray-coverage hair coloring attempts. She fixed it and knew exactly what color to recommend & apply on me to look my best. Got endless compliments on how the new color really suits me, from countless people, even strangers. The key here is that I have sensitive scalp and get a really bad rash reaction from regular dyes, therefore never can get my hair colored professionally at salons. However, she is able to provide & use a more natural dye on me, and the color lasts! Permanently. =) She is now my trusted go-to person for root touch ups for about a year now. She's friendly, approachable, sweet, efficient, and professional. When I'm too busy to visit her & try to color at home, the result is just not worth the time investment. Appointment is definitely recommended. They get really busy. Appointments are all pretty on-time. I never had to wait when I show up on time. I used to park on the main street until I found out there are plenty of parking behind the building, with convenient access from their back door. I LOVE MIRIANA SO MUCH!! I have been struggling to grow out my over-processed and badly layered haircut that I gave myself during lockdown. Since then I have been cutting the ends of my hair straight across and not touching the layers which i've been mostly able to grow out. Now the ends of my old layers have stopped growing due to breakage while the bottom layer is healthiest, so I knew i needed a layered trim immediately. Of course I was hesitant because I don't trust any hair dresser's definition of long layers (they usually thin my hair out so bad and go way too short) but Miriana listened to all of my concerns and gave me such a beautiful, full, long layered cut without sacrificing my length! My layers no longer snap off when I run the brush through. I couldn't believe how soft my usually straw-like hair felt that I even purchased the Redken leave-in she used! They're also amazingly affordable. $45 for wash, cut, and blowout. I'm obsessed and won't let anyone else touch my hair ever again. read more

So after over 1.5 years I wanted to give this place another chance. I made an appointment for my two young boys today at 1:30 pm. We came around 1:20 pm and were told that the stylist I will be done soon. No problem was my response and waited patiently. I finally gave up around 1:57 pm since the stylist looked like she wasn't close on being done (my appointment was at 1:30 pm!). I told the owner that this is not the first time Cutting Edge wasted my time. All they said was "sorry" for the delay. I replied back that delay for a haircut is 10 minutes to 15 minutes tops, I waited almost 30 minutes and the stylist wasn't close to being finished so that's not a "delay". They just flat out WASTED my time. Cutting Edge doesn't give a damn about customers time, they want the customers to accommodate the stylist time and not the other way around. Safe to say I will NEVER come back here again. Respect your customers time first. Be reasonable on the delays. More than 20 to 30 minutes waiting for a haircut after a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. What if the customers were late, do you honestly think the stylist will wait for the customers.... Hell NO. They will go cancel the appointment and get to the next customer. So good riddance Dull Cutting Edge. read more

I had an OK experience here, thus, 3 stars for "A-OK". The hairdresser (I believe her name must be Tuoi) was friendly and in the beginning she had me look with a mirror and point to where I wanted my haircut length to be, and she cut it there for reference. I thought that was a nice way to make absolutely sure that customers were happy with the length. However, when the haircut was all finished and done, I was surprised to look back with a mirror and see that it was about 2 inches shorter than where it was supposed to be. Thankfully I was craving a fresh haircut after all the stay-at-home craziness, so I didn't mind the new shorter 'do too much, but if I had been attached to keeping my hair long I would have been upset -- just a warning to those who care. Right now my hair is definitely medium-length when I had originally wanted it to remain long. I still think it's cute and she did a good job with layering, but it's just not the length I expected (nor the length I thought was "agreed" upon). The price was very affordable, and I felt too bad to complain irl because what's done is done anyway, but I'm just sharing my honest experience here. read more

I came in for a haircut only. I was assigned to Emma. Once a year I get a large amount of my hair cut off, about 10-12 inches. I found a picture and showed the stylist and she seemed concerned. I told her a good amount of bulk needs to be sheered/thinned from the ends as well otherwise the cut can be very unflattering. She was clearly nervous to cut that much off and I kept having to tell her to go shorter and shorter. Once she was done cutting the length off she started to blow dry my hair with no heat resistant product. When she was done blow drying she saw my hair needed to be thinned out. She used her regular shears and not thinning shears. After an attempt to thin my hair, I had to tell her to use thinning shears. I did not want to continue to make her feel uncomfortable so I left with a haircut I disliked. It is still bulky on the ends and not as short as I requested. If the stylist was uncomfortable cutting that much hair I would have much rather her told me upfront than give me a subpar haircut. I will more than likely not go back and will need to get another haircut sooner than later. read more

I got a hair cut by short asian lady.. i think her name was Tuoi. She went nuts on my hair with those scissors . I hip length hair and we agreed to cut then till waist. She initially cut my hair of length that was agreed and then gave me head wash. Then she started giving them layers .. and the end result was short hair just below the shoulder. She chopped off min 12 inch of my hair whereas we agreed 2-3 inch. She also kind of rushed me because she had another appointment waiting . It takes long time to grow long hair and i really wanted waist length. After i came back home and read other reviews for her .. apparently she has done the same with many other people. Went in for the first time with the intension of getting a medium length a line haircut. Stylist Jackie did not only give me a classic a line which is much shorter and she also didn't layer my hair so I have a mushroom shaped haircut. I tired to walk away happy with it but was so uncomfortable with the cut I went back the same day to get it corrected as much as possible. With that said the haircut is much shorter then desired and there was no a line look on the end. Not much to complain but couldn't live with the mushroom in the back. What can I say... took my kids here once for a haircut and won't be back. We had appts on a Saturday and had difficulty finding parking due to the yoga studio's class. Showed up at 10:07 for a 10am appt and was reprimanded by the stylist for not being prompt. She would not shut up about it and kept going on and on. Even another client with a different stylist was giving her a WTF look. Another appt came in at 10:15 and she turned and said to them while pointing at me "now I'm running behind because SHE was late!" Than she said "you need to call me if you're going to be late." Seriously lady?!?! Yes, let me pull out my phone while driving so I can call you. Maybe don't open a salon where there 1/2 the parking is taking up by residence parking. 9/26/15 4 stars: Took my 7 year old here for a hair cut. It was $13 not including tip. The salon was clean. The ladies were very nice and welcoming. We got what we asked for from Raylene (?...she has the middle station/chair). She took her time with cutting and styling his hair. 4 stars because she didn't wash his hair before or after (he came in with product in his hair) and styled his hair with more product. 4/11/16 5 stars: Miriana is the absolute best!! My son and I don't let anyone else cut or color our hair but her. We've waited a month if it more (due to opposite schedules) to have her cut our hair. Not sure who did my hair but I asked for layers. She bunched half my hair up and chopped it right off. She only made one layer so my long hair was just sticking out like I had extensions on. I asked her to fix it and blend it so it transitions more clean but she claims to not see the problem. I left very unhappy with a horrible hair cut. It's $18 just a cut, no wash, no blowdry. I called to schedule an appointment and Miriana (owner) was able to schedule me in the next day. I have long wavy hair and needed a trim and added body.
