We were shown to our table without much wait. Our server introduced himself immediately and was initially very attentive. Our orders were taken politely and efficiently. The 2 children's meal came to the table very quickly- any parent appreciates this. The problem came up in that the rest of the table waited almost an hour for the rest of our meals. No reason pasta should ever take this long. Once delivered, the food was quite good. Not sure what the issue was with the kitchen, but it definitely took away from our enjoyment of the experience as a whole.

The beers were good. They pack a lot of flavor in! IPAs were good. Pickle beer was very heavy on the pickle brine flavor. Our service was not great. My wife ordered a Caprese Mushroom dish. When it came out, the waitress told my wife "I feel so bad for you, we are out of basil. I don't know how good it will be, let me know. I feel so bad for you." If she knew one of the four main ingredients was missing, it could have been mentioned before making the dish so as to confirm that we still wanted that option. The dish was otherwise watery and not great. When the server came to take our plates, she should have also clocked that the meal was hardly touched. If you have to say "I feel bad for you" as you serve a customer their food, that's not a great sign. I ordered a steak and cheese which was very good. I ordered onion rings as a side. The server said "that'll be more expensive" as she walked away, despite the menu saying the meal came with the choice of one side. It didn't matter anyways, as my sandwich came with French fries instead of the onion rings I ordered. The French fries were very good, but not what I ordered. I ordered a flight of 6 tasters, and one came out empty. I was told "I don't have that one right now" by the server before she walked away, but not before she spilled the other beers as she put them down. I had to wait for her to come back and ask whether she was waiting for the empty beer to be tapped or if I was supposed to pick a new one, as it was unclear and she hadn't asked what I'd liked instead. Seems like a great venue and atmosphere is probably a lot of fun on a weekend or at night. We weren't expecting anything over the top at a brewery on a Monday for lunch. Beers were decent, and standard pub fare was good. Overall, we would not return based on the service.

So the Jamaican beef patties here are some of my favorite things ever. Highly recommend. Definitely…read morelook into the Jamaican portion of their menu. I have eaten here about 3x...the first time I was pretty impressed because it was a hidden treasure trove of Jamaican food. No one really expects a pub to serve up anything but bar food. The second time I ate here, the experience was a complete mess and our server was absolutely clueless. That's when I discovered the food is pretty inconsistent and it definitely depends on who the chef is. The third time I ordered just the fritters and a beef patty and everything was delicious. The first time I was here, I came in for lunch with a group of friends. We were one of two groups in the entire pub. We heard through the grapevine that The Pint had some pretty decently seasoned Jamaican food so we had to try it for ourselves. I actually opted for their 50 cent grilled wings because I couldn't pass a deal like that up. Their wings were grilled perfectly. I opted for 3 different flavors: Carolina Reaper, mango habanero, and jerk. The Carolina Reaper was not as spicy as I was hoping because the name "Carolina Reaper" typically strikes fear as it is the hottest pepper - the flavor was good though. The mango habanero was solid but the jerk flavor was totally lost on me. I think the jerk seasoning was lost during the grilling process. The food came out pretty slow though for there being only two groups in the entire pub. Overall, I got 10 wings for $5 and couldn't complain which meant I was definitely coming back. My friends who ordered actual Jamaican dishes such as the curry chicken and chicken jerk dinner really enjoyed their entrees. My second visit, my group of friends decided to grab beers during happy hour and munch on some grub. Got a Stella Artois for about $3? They gave us a list of specials that were not even relevant. I tried to order off the list of specials and the waitress said they were only honoring the specials if an NFL game is on. Ok well next time let us know ahead of time when you give us the menus. I ordered wings again but the waitress absolutely had no clue how many wings came with each order or what flavors were available. She was a complete mess in bringing out our food and our bill. The wings were much smaller this time around and not as good...very subpar wings. Lesson learned, only eat here when the place is nearly empty. Otherwise, just come for drinks. Third visit: my group of friends and I were practically the only table in the entire restaurant. This was good for us because it meant it was safe to order food. While the Jamaican food is great, it takes awhile for the food to come out. Tried the fritters and beef patty this time and enjoyed my entire meal.

I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and my husband had the Caesar chicken wrap. We walked over and picked it up. The place was pretty empty as it was a Monday late afternoon. My husband was okay with his wrap although it wasn't anything special. Mine, on the other hand, was not good. The 'dip' was not able to be dipped at all. It was thick and not at all creamy. The cheese was coagulated. The artichokes were in big chunks and I found some of the fiber pieces from the artichoke and the spinach was scant. the dip did not taste like it was seasoned. Then, the chips provided were burnt. I had to dig around to find maybe 5 that were not a deep golden brown. Next, they included a slew of thinly chopped raw vegetables. I had never received raw vegetables with a spinach artichoke dip. Typically the inclusions are like pita chips and small bread slices Additionally, because of the way the vegetables were cut, I wouldn't have been able to use them, even if the dip was looser and creamier because they were too thinly sliced.. After two bites that I had to use a knife to spread on a few chips that I could find that were edible, I threw it away. We don't expect to be in the area again. But if we were, this place was definitely a one and done for us as far as the food is concerned. The second star is only at my husband's urging because his wrap was okay for him.
