Good food and great service. Plus it's close to cheap Wisconsin gas. I received my breakfast order promptly.

We were greeted right away and was told to sit anywhere we wanted to. Josie was our waitress and…read morewas very friendly. She took our drinks and food order. Food came out really fast. Ordered the macchiato with almond milk. Comes in traditional size and they had it in a paper coffee cup. I would have liked it served in a coffee mug, since I drank it in the cafe with my breakfast. I had the chicken, Swiss, and avocado skillet. Came with 2 eggs, which I asked to be cooked over easy, and hash browns. Very delicious and avocado were fresh. Also, asked for hot sauce and they only offer Louisiana hot sauce. I was only able to eat half the skillet and took the rest home. My friend has celiac disease, so they made sure her order was GF.

We arrived around 10:15am on a Saturday and the vibe was immediately welcoming. The place is super cute, featuring a coffee bar where you can sit at the counter, a few cozy couches, and even a little craft display with items for sale. Because we got there just before the rush, we were able to sit anywhere we liked. They have an extensive drink menu, and I ordered a chai latte in a mug. It was absolutely huge, smelled incredible, and tasted great. When it came time to order, I informed our server about my gluten allergy. She was incredibly accommodating and reassured me that she would alert the kitchen to keep everything separate to avoid cross-contamination. I ordered a cheddar cheese omelette with hash browns, and the food came out incredibly fast. There was a minor hiccup where my omelette accidentally came out with ham in it, but it was large enough and easy enough to just pick out, so it didn't ruin the meal. The food was overall really delicious and the service was excellent. By the time we left, the place was completely packed, which clearly speaks to how popular it is. It was a really good experience with great GF awareness, and we will definitely be back!

It came with a choice of potato and I went with baked potato. Great combo. I did also order the side salad to start and loved the dressing. I didn't have a drink here but they looked fantastic. Paisano's on Broadway occupies a unique--and important--place in Richmond's dining landscape…read more Credit where it's due: Phil and Karen Gilardi were instrumental in elevating the town beyond pure fast-food dependence. They recognized early that Richmond sits on a corridor of movement--Chicago flowing north toward Lake Geneva, that Midwestern analogue to the Riviera--and made a legitimate attempt to create a stop where people could sit down, slow down, and share a meal. I still remember my first visit, back when Paisano's had maybe five tables. I was seated next to none other than Dan Rostenkowski, then Speaker of the House. That moment captured something about the place: it aspired to be part of a broader, more connected world than Richmond typically experiences. The concept has always been clear--family-style, approachable Italian, positioned as a step above casual dining. And to their credit, they've maintained consistency over the years. That said, the food itself lands squarely in the "acceptable" category. Not offensive, not memorable--reliably mediocre. It satisfies the requirement of a meal without ever quite justifying a detour. Yet here's the reality: within a five-mile radius, Paisano's remains the only place where you can reasonably take someone on a sit-down date without apology. That alone gives it staying power. Paisano's isn't trying to be extraordinary--and it doesn't quite get there. But it filled a vacuum when it arrived, and in many ways, it still does.
