This is a great little place off the beaten path. Heard great things about it, so I thought I'd give it a try. Stopped in here on a Friday morning before 9 AM. Pretty big crowd, but I was seated quickly, and was very satisfied from the start. The staff were very friendly and cordial, and the menu was clear and concise. I had the three eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, and coffee. So much on the menu, but that's what I decided on. The order came up quick, and was very delicious! Coffee was out of this world. It was a great environment, and the food was incredible! I only tried two things, and I want to go back on a weekly basis to try more things on the menu. Imagine receiving butter toast with your meal with the butter is still warm and was applied generously. I personally like hashbrowns, they were cooked just right, cooked enough to have some brown on them, but still soft and tasty my greatest. I did not try their biscuits and gravy on that visit. Music, laughter, local conversations. You ask for two eggs, Manny gives you three. Every time. And your food comes out in like five minutes. It's the best. I very much wanted to like Manny's. I don't mind that it is extremely cramped. I was willing to forgive that it is poorly cleaned. The waitress was inattentive, largely because she had far too many tables. There was a very young man, maybe a family member of the owner, who was trying to fill the gap, but he is poorly trained and ends up just being intrusive. But if I put all of that aside, the food was poorly prepared. The omelette was extremely undercooked and very, very greasy. The hash browns were extremely overcooked into a brittle mass, and the cooking oil should have been changed weeks ago. That probably explains why the smells coming out of their exhaust vents outside are rancid. If I was a neighbor I would be extremely upset. This is the sort of family business I would love to support, but without major changes, your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

I went to Manny's just once before the pandemic started and I don't know how they're doing things now but this is definitely one place I would want to order every single menu item if I could go back. It was pretty jam packed when we went, with customers bumping into us or the table pretty regularly and waitstaff expertly moving around everyone, so I'm not sure how things look in a more socially distanced world, but even if you can't go in I'd recommend carry out from here any day. I had a bunch of eggs, huge slice of ham, hash browns, toast, and a lot of diet coke. Everything was great, just as greasy and delicious as I was expecting. A lot of breakfast places just put the same stuff in front of you that another place would and it's usually lacking in flavor. Manny's doesn't do that - they have tasty - but not super healthy - food that tastes like you're going back in time. I'll definitely be back as soon as I can get there. read more

Came here for breakfast and ordered the gyro omelette and huevos rancheros. I was weary of gyros in an omelette, but it was one of the best I've had. They have a good variety of options on the menu and I would definitely come back to try more things. I drove an hour to meet my mother at Manny's Snack Shack for a belated Mother's Day. I am glad I did! Manny's is literally across the street from a stunning lake view. That was a treat for the eyes! Inside the small restaurant, was a countertop and two small rows of booths. On the wall above the flattop grill were religious decorations and framed pictures. On another wall behind my booth, were mounted stuffed fish from the lake that gave it cozy feeling overall. Our waitress was warm and friendly. Give her a raise! Our food was pretty darned good, and the prices were more than reasonable. I ordered the chicken fried steak (which came slathered in sausage gravy, another plate had my toast and three eggs, and on a third plate came my hash browns!) My mother ordered a tuna melt that was huge, she got two meals out of it, and a mountain of seasoned fries. Our bill, including beverages was $28. It was a Tuesday when we visited and we were immediately seated. I HIGHLY recommend Manny's Snack Shack....you can thank me later! read more

Delicious coffee w quality creamer options which they keep topped off without request. Rather small mom and pops spot. Catholic decor. Evidence that they "back the blue" but also support "BLM". One cook who is extremely fast and very personable, he handed us our food directly. The food was ready in like 7 mins, unbelievably fast! There was a loooong piece of hair in my food, when brought to their attention they were apologetic and fixed it over with free hash browns to make amends. Nice size menu and reasonably priced. Huge portion size. Two waiters who are also the busboys. The cinnamon roll French toast is something you won't find anywhere else, delicious! You pay at the register. The waiter gave us recommendations to local places to find bloody Mary's since they don't serve alcohol here. Service and food was 10/10. We tipped good, highly recommend! read more

It has a very comforting old diner feeling with great food. The portions are so larger you will be stuffed! Manny cooks all the food right in the kitchen which can be seen very easily. This place is very unique. We decided to come up here for a couple of days to meat with a friend. They recommended this place. We got here before the boating community got up for the day on the water. I got the biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. The biscuits and gravy was really good. The hash brows were good too. I noticed the chef did may be a two part process to cook the hash browns. He would put hash browns on a pan on a piece of kitchen equipment. Than transfer to the main cooking area. I do not know, but I liked them. This place got packed fast. I would come early. read more

How can you not love Manny's? Manny is an upstanding community member, an amazing chef and a great person! The entire time he was allowed to operate carry out due to Safer at Home and COVID, he gave all children under 12 free meals! Manny is so invested in our community and is a person that cares. His food is amazing, you will NEVER leave Manny's hungry. The single meal is enough for 2 meals. Almost every person walks out with a to go box because it is too much food!
