Scully's is great. I have looked far and wide for a good breakfast place since moving here in 2018. (Antioch) The food is beyond good. Maybe the best eggs benedict I have ever had. The portions are also very good. It is a reasturant that you would expect to find further north in Wisconsin but it's right here. The service was excellent. Had to pick up some Computer Parts in the area, so I'll trade that swinging by Scully's in order breakfast, I heard the corned beef hash was awesome and boy was it. It was excellent. The only thing is I ordered it as a side dish and it came out as a main plate because I ordered the omelette stuff with hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy that was awesome. So like the owner said take it home hook it up the next day it's delicious and it was definitely going back. My wife and I stopped at Scully's on Labor Day. When we arrived at 915am, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a table. No worries, took my cell and said they would text. Went for a walk and received our text. Seated immediately, order taken and all good. I was told decaf coffee needed to be brewed, understandable. No further contact until one of the TWO others working an incredibly small dining room that was not full.(waited for a table with a six top open, understandable there too) brought us our Scully bites and I could ask for my coffee water and wife's milk. Another 25 minutes pass and we are out of beverages and have yet to receive our food nor have had any contact with our server. ( who happens to be the owner). I made eye contact and motioned to her that we needed something only to be ignored. To be completely fair every time we visit there the food is excellent. It does take an excessive amount of time to come out but it is always quality. I don't know what was happening back in the kitchen but three people for that small of a dining room and to provide not even poor service is embarrassing to you. If you could not get enough kitchen help, then don't open because all it does is harm your reputation. Btw, when we came back and were seated a couple that was waiting left because that thought we were seated before them. All the person that seated us had to say is, they were on the waiting list. Here was the reply You were rude, you are a liar, and a thief. You were in the restaurant for 40 minutes, you had servers at your table over six times getting three refills. You were rude about having to wait for a fresh brewed pot of decaf coffee. You ate your Scully's bites you drank five drinks between the two of you and then you left without paying for your drinks or your Scully's bites. We make excellent food from scratch to order. The restaurant was full except for a large party table that we always leave open for large parties. You aren't a king or a god, you're no better and deserve no more attention than all the rest of the customers in the restaurant. You were on the wait list, the customer who left is a regular, was not on the wait list, and chose not to wait because there were 6 people on the wait list ahead of them. You asked for your Scully's bites ahead of your meal. Your food was coming out as you rudely left without paying your bill. From the time you ordered, rudely with out listening to your server, to your bites coming out was 8 minutes, the time between your bites and food coming out was 14 minutes. You could barely reheat leftovers and have them plated in that time, let alone make an entire meal from scratch with the quality of ingredients we use. You aren't welcome back. I was very disappointed with my recent visit to Scully's. The eggs I was served were cold, and I found what appeared to be a hair in my food, which immediately ruined my appetite. The overall experience left me concerned about cleanliness and food quality. I also observed behavior in the kitchen area that made me uncomfortable and raised questions about hygiene standards. Unfortunately, because of these issues, I won't be returning. I hope management takes customer concerns seriously and works to improve food quality and cleanliness. read more

Stopped by for their Friday Fish Fry, something new that they have added to their menu several months ago. It is now one of our top 5 places for fish fry. They offer lightly breaded or beer battered. Both were crunchy and tasty. The beer battered version avoided the gumminess that sometimes happens. You have a choice of hand cut fries or house made potato pancakes. The fries were thin and crispy. The pancakes were very crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside and well seasoned. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, making the evening more pleasant. Scully's is not a large place, which does give it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was a snowy evening so the dining room was not very full. Walking in it is so loud and I mean loud!! It is a small place but cute. If you are not in a rush and want to WAIT 45 minutes to get your food then by all means this is the place. They had a ton of servers. The kitchen is either VERY short staff or something because for a Friday night with a very short menu they should have been cracking out orders . That was not the case. Was it an off night? Not sure but I know I will not be back. The shrimp was absolutely excellent and huge size. The fish.. A very warm and inviting establishment. The waitress, Anita was very nice and super attentive. I ordered the fish fry. First time I had a hand battered one. It did not disappoint. The whole meal was absolutely delicious. I highly suggest eating there and ask for Anita to be your waitress. Although I didn't order breakfast, they are famous for their chicken fried steak. I must make it a point to stop here for breakfast. Very nice view of Silver Lake. Very reasonable prices and plenty of parking. read more

Finally made it! Fiirst time here since the opening! Fantastic service and the quality of food is five star in our book. My wife and I recently changed our eating habits and the daily menu and portions fit right in. All quality and mostly fresh, local ingredients. Great breakfast place. I hesitate to even post this because I know they are already busy. But Scully's deserves a serious shout out. This was our first visit. Our server, Amber, was very friendly and she shared helpful information about the menu. Everything is locally sourced and made from scratch. Fresh food made with the best ingredients. I had the corned beef hash which was a big slab of the most tender corned beef with roasted tomatoes, onions and potatoes. Finished with two farm fresh eggs. My wife had the traditional eggs and bacon with hash browns. We also ordered a short stack of mixed berry pancakes which were awesome and scratch made. All their meat products come from Wilson's meats in Elkhorn. So naturally we had to drive there after breakfast and load the truck up with all sorts of "provisions." Also, they make their own epic Bloody Mary with pickle vodka and this great spicy salt. Truly excellent. Fun spot. Definitely coming back with my three sons. read more

I was too hungry and excited to eat, I forgot to take a picture. We showed up randomly as a group driving through. Food was delicious! We all tried different things: chicken salad wrap, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and chef special. Bloody Mary was really good as well! Service was great! Owner even chatted with us a bit to explain the homemade ingredients and items sourced locally. We really loved it and wished we could come back more often (but aren't local). My husband and I ate at Scully's in Silver Lake Friday night February 21, 2025 and it was a severe disappointment. My husband's fish he said tasted good but was not served hot and my cheeseburger and fries were cold! I ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and pickles NO lettuce tomato or onions. The picture on the menu shows a nice patty and the description on the menu and the website claims it is made of a combination of brisket, sirloin, and ground chuck. The patty I was served was so thin and had no flavor! It was served with a half of an onion sliced in large slices and a woody tomato which I specifically said no to. The waitress didn't even try to offer to take off the charges for the extras I didn't order! We paid $45 for a burger I barely ate 1/4 of and the fish which again my husband said tasted good but was not hot. I didn't want to complain because the place was busy and when our waitress asked us how the food was, I told her about the tomato and onion I didn't ask for and she simply said sorry! We will not be back and we DO NOT recommend dining here. read more

Went for brunch with family and it was amazing! The waitress was SUPER helpful, and accommodating to our indecisive group. She made us some great drinks, and was the best waitress I've ever had.
