One of my favorite pocha spots in SF! I thought there was usually a wait but it was pretty empty when we went on a Saturday. The inside is dark and gives pocha vibes but it's weirdly too cold so we had to switch seats but still had our jackets on the whole time. I usually really like their food but it was a little disappointing this time I went. The galbi was too chewy and while the army stew was very good and hit the spot for a cold day, it was $50 which I thought was too expensive for the portion they gave. Hidden gem in the sunset for Korean cuisine! They have many options to choose from, and they are definitely on the pricier side but it's due to portion sizes so be sure to come in with people to share. Love their side dishes and purple rice. The pork bulgogi was great as well, and is enough to share with maximum 2 people. I also tried their Mandu, Korean fried chicken (garlic flavor, and japchae. Mandu is a must, but their chicken and japchae was okay. If you're looking for some Korean food, I would still recommend this place regardless for their meat dishes. The service is also extremely slow--which could be because they're busy but it's wild that it took them 15+ minutes and a verbal reminder from us to get the small dishes. Absolutely loved the tteokbokki, incredible flavor profile, was probably most notable for me. They're known for the honeycomb rice wine; it was very sweet and enjoyable! We happened to go after outsidelands and we got there just in time before peak. We were expecting overpriced entrees and appetizers but to our surprise it was all reasonable. I've never been to this restaurant before, but it's been on my list and I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now! The Sweet & Spicy Wings was basically like the "star" for me that day; it is so crispy and saucy at the same time. They also have an alcoholic drink called "Makgeolli" and it comes with a freshly cut piece of honeycomb! That drink felt a little powdery, but the bitterness of the drink went well with the sweetness of the honeycomb. I'm not sure if the honeycomb was supposed to melt in the drink, so I ended up nibbling on it. I'd recommend this place! Everything I tried was good and the service seemed fast to me. The kalbi tang was ok and plain but not worth $24. They added an already shredded bone, but I had better with two bones. Came here at about 11pm on a Friday with two other friends. Unfortunately, after COVID happened, most restaurants in the city close at about 9 or 10pm. Fortunately this place was open until 1am. The restaurant was PACKED for 11pm. Luckily we were able to secure a table with minimal wait. The staff was friendly and quick to get our orders in. The menu had plenty of pictures and made ordering easy. Parking is plentiful. Inside had trendy lights which I appreciated. Below is an outline if what we ordered that night: Ban chan: 5/5, unsure if they make their own ban chan or not, but the radish squares had the right level of sweet and sour. The kimchi was not too acidic and had a good spicy to acidic ratio. Okonomoyaki fries: 4/5, nothing to boast about. I liked the skinny fries and they were quite crispy. But it lacked flavor and depth. i'd suggest trying some of the other appetizers Spicy pork: 4/5, It was lacking the "spicy" component to it. it quite mild. Pork was tender, however the organic vegetables didn't quite go well with the dish. Kalbi: 4.5/5, tender, juicy, and flavorful. I liked the sweet onions that accompanied it. Classic korean protein dish, would recommend. Seafood pancake: 5/5, not pictured but my oh my, this was the highlight of the night! It came out perfect with a beautiful dark yellow crust, topped with plentiful seafood and onions. MUST try. Also popular here is their Bae Joo cocktail served in a traditional hang ah ri ceramic jar, this drink is made with the most popular fruit in Asia - the Korean Pear . The perfect balance of crispness, sweetness, and juiciness, it's the perfect match for their signature soju cocktail. They have mouthwatering dishes with generous portions. We started with the Cheese Corn, ooh the cheese pull delicious. My brother wanted to come here for his birthday. they don't take reservations so we decided to come right when it opens so we wouldn't have to wait. we were lucky and found parking on the corner. For food I ordered the Budae jiigae, my sister and my mom ordered the original chicken wings and kalbi tang short rib soup, and my dad ordered the beef kalbi and kimchi fried rice. Went on a Weekday ~5pm, no wait. Their menu was a blend of traditional and modern takes on korean food. You could find a lot of what you'd find elsewhere like bibimbap and other meat plates, but also had like korean tacos. We got the fried chicken, bibimbap, and bulgolgi tacos. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, everything you're probably thinking about. Bibimbap had great variety, what you'd expect in my opinion but I wish it had some more flavor. But! on that note, it felt homey, like something your grandma or mom might throw together. It was comforting. The Tacos were actually sooo good. Flavor was there, the sweetness from the meat marinade and the refreshing lettuce with the siricha mayo that tied it all together. Each piece of honeycomb is $10, but it could easily be split between 2-3 people (just need to ask). The drink tastes best if you break down the honeycomb into the drink first. We got the original but I was super curious about their other flavors! We ordered the combo of meats (comes with soup), and all of them were not bad. My favorite was the galbi because it was the most flavorful, but it was hard to eat since it was a bit tough. The seafood pancake was yummy (actually packed with seafood) but took quite a long time to come out so we were waiting for a while. The rose tteokbokki was a hit! It's packed with noodles, rice cakes, and sausage. Definitely recommend ordering. While not cheap, The Crew would be a good option for a chill late night dinner + drinks with friends. The Crew used to be great before the remodel--now it's just overpriced and disappointing. We ordered Kalbi (x2), Bulgogi, Japchae, Tteokbokki, and a Kimchee pancake. The service was friendly and helpful. It was busy when we were there so it was a bit hard to get the server's attention at times. We were here when they were training their cooks; decided to chance it anyway. The garlic chicken wings were very flavorful. However, because there was a lot of sauce at the bottom, the chickens at the bottom weren't as crispy. I think I would have preferred the chickens tossed in the sauce and still keep it's crispness. 9/10. The bimbimbap was delicious. It came with purple rice so you know it was legit.
