He was very attentive throughout. We were lucky to be among the first 50 parties and received Combo #1 for free (1lb crawfish, 1lb shrimp, 1lb Manila clams, 3 corn). We chose the Hut Special (a Cajun and garlic butter mix) with mild spice. Everything was decently well-sized which we were happy about. We were impressed by how fast the food came out given how busy they were. It seems they use the Yelp Waitlist system. We also ordered the 6-piece chicken wings and garlic fries: * Garlic fries: Crispy outside, soft inside, topped with melted parmesan, herbs, and garlic throughout. * Chicken wings: Also decently sized and tender with a thin crispy batter. The Cajun flavor tasted more lemon pepper with some Cajun spice. Served with fries, veggie sticks, and ranch. They provided bibs, gloves, plates, lemons, and mini Cajun spice mixes. We took down a star because we asked for sausages in the sampler which we didn't get. We mentioned this twice to the staff, and we never ended up getting them. The waiter apologized in the end, but it's crazy not to get sausages when you asked twice, and the waiter assured us he would get them to us both times. In this case, I expect the restaurant to comp something or get us a replacement but he just offered for us to either take the sausages "to go" or take it off the receipt; both of which are crummy options. The food quality was very good with deliciously sweet crabs in amazing sauce. The lobster, crab, and shrimp were all excellent and full of garlic butter. When I mentioned that to Lynnie, she let me know that I could request the shrimp shells to be peeled if I order them headless. Good to know for my next visit! My friend had the Funny Bunny, which was refreshing and sweet, while I went with the Blue Hawaiian. My boyfriend, friends, and I were very excited to try out this new spot and it definitely exceeded our expectations! Their original location is in Seattle but they recently expanded to Cali which was really cool to learn about. My boyfriend and I both ordered a pound of head on shrimp with sausage in mild spice house special sauce, along with a basket of garlic fries, bread, and rice. The proteins were so soft and juicy and sauce had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy elements. Garlic fries were fire and came with ranch and sriracha mayo. The bread was surprisingly a high quality, fresh french roll. Both were great vessels to drench in the sauce. Ok, i got the jumbo crawfish which is frozen. It really was huge but since it was frozen I felt like it had zero flavor. Like usually I love the yellow head guts but when I ate this one it literally tasted like absolutely nothing. I was super shocked. Honestly it could be because it's frozen. I'd rather eat smaller crawfish that's fresh tbh. I got the hut sauce in spicy and it wasn't really spicy, but most importantly my sauce was ALL oil and bits of garlic. It had no flavor. Needed salt !!? I literally used 2 cups of the lemon pepper sauce. Had to dip everything in it even the sausage. At other crawfish places I barely use half of 1 lemon pepper sauce. Next my bf got the king crab, King crab was fresh today @ $110 /lb - that was absolutely delicious !!!!! Best king crab out of all the crawfish places around. Idk if I'll return for their frozen crawfish tbh but I'll give them another try for fresh crawfish! They only have a few starters but my friend and I got the Cajun fries but you get to have different options for a basket of fries. My friend and I got 2 pounds of shrimp and 1 pound of green mussels with the hut special sauce spicy. The shrimp was so big and mussels were a good size as well. If I could rate a zero, I totally would. But unfortunately, they only get a 1 star from me. Located at Rodeo 39, next to PhoHolic tucked away is this establishment. We were super fortunate to have them open on NYE. Parking was plenty since 90% of the plaza was already closed for the holiday, so no struggle at this already insane surface lot. Walked in and was greeted promptly, seated by the door which provided a nice breeze. Already a great start, but my goodness I hate to write reviews like this but fellow Yelpers be careful. I understand it's a holiday and it's busy; especially when you are catering to dine in and online orders (which is was bustling btw!). When we ordered we were told it will be a wait, which we understand since it is a holiday. Stay with me now.. A party comes in after us, 3 adults, 2 toddlers and asked for a table setting that seat 8-10. The server and my party of 2 were confused, but whatever, small children need more space. Granted, we ordered before them, like a solid 10 minutes. And they received our order with a smile before us. I have weird supersonic hearing so I overheard the husband order their food; mussels, shrimp, jumbo crawfish. And well, what arrived to their table was the two pounds of shrimp spicy that we ordered. Now, I can't assume, but I'm sure it wasn't their first time at a seafood boil and if my memory serves me right, YOU USUALLY GET ALL OF YOUR ORDER IN ONE BAG/BOWL. And if you didn't order spicy and noticed it extra spicy for "mild", wouldn't you ask? Ok. Well enough with this debacle. What warrants this low rating is the LACK of customer service. When you accidentally give our order to another table and keep walking by wondering why we don't have anything in front of us should signal a red flag, but like my past relationships, they might be colorblind. On top of that, admitting fault means taking accountability and that goes a long way in hospitality. But no "sorry" was provided until I paid for the one drink and one basket we ate. And it's even crazier that I can understand Vietnamese and I can see your POS system and it clearly said my order was done by I obviously didn't have it. And then asking for it to be removed but was told you can't but then I am standing right there looking dead at you, ultimately made you uncomfortable. No solution was provided for giving our order away. Instead they let me pay for whatever did arrive and a measly "sorry" after I tapped my phone. We will never dine here again. Now I'm a boiling crab girl and no one has been able to surpass them. UNTIL now. I got the big seafood bag shrimp, snowcrabs, crawfish with all the fixings it was absolutely amazing. I don't know how they did it, but the balance and flavor were simply perfect!! The service was top notch! Eric was our server and he was helpful, friendly and walked us through the ordering process and recommendations. He checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. Their menu has a bunch of combos on the menu. Different mixes of your usual suspects. We ordered the combo #4 spicy and hut special sauce. The spicy is more of like a medium than spicy. I usually don't eat spicy but the waitresses said it wasn't too spicy. We also ordered a soft shell crab basket with Cajun fries. The soft crab was cooked very well. The batter was super crunchy. Flavorful but didn't taste too greasy. The Cajun fries were great, super crunchy. The main event the combo #4 comes with shrimp, Manila clams and snow crab clusters. There was two of them in there, one for me and one for my buddy. A lb of shrimp had around 20 shrimps. We added sausage and potatoes. The sauce is a little bit on the sweeter side, so depending on flavor of profile you're looking for if you're looking for super garlicky or salty then it's not that. It was tasty though and I was dipping the fries and the soft shell crab into it. The location is great nestled in one of the stores at rodeo 39. The parking lot is PACKED because of all the other spots it shared the lot with, so be prepared to circle around for a while. There is a TON of seating and we came during a weekday so plenty of open tables for us. While waiting for our friends, fiancee and I ordered a couple apps, the calamari and fried chicken gizzards which I was super excited about, but my excitement died down at first bite. The gizzards were rubbery, and the batter was either overcooked or maybe they haven't changed their frying oil in a bit, but we were super hungry as we didn't get a chance to eat all day. The calamari was ok, wouldn't recommend it though. The sauce was BOMB, probably one of the best sauces I've had with a seafood boil. After you're seated be prepared to wait extremely long and flag your server down in to come take your order. Happened with my party of 3 and party of 7. Their hut special seasoning is more on the sweeter side in comparison to the regular seafood boil sauce. The size of the crawfish is always spot on. However their apps are lacking or below mediocre.
