This restaurant used to be Malta Seafood and they had really good siete Mares. We came down here last night and realized it's a totally new restaurant. The place was nicely renovated. Ambiance was good and the servers were nice and somewhat attentive. We sat down and ordered food and drinks. Food took a little long and the tacos were cold. The salsa lime weirdly was coming in one at a time instead of all together with the food. The chicken tacos was tasty but the carne asada needed salt. The Al pastor was weirdly sweet. The Siete Mares was a let down. The broth and the fish lacked seasoning. 3 of the mussels didn't even open and was surprised that they left it in the bowl, those should have been tossed out. I visited this location when they newly opened and I'm glad we came back! Great spot for drinks & the food was delicious! My husband and I came in for dinner Friday night around 7pm. There were only a couple tables taken at the time and it looked like the Karaoke Host was just getting set-up. He was kind enough to double check that we were comfortable with the volume as we sat directly under 2 main speakers. Our server was also kind and she checked on us regularly. Service was great our entire stay. Karaoke host was trying his best to hype the crowd but it didn't get lively til' about 8:30 when it got busier. We ordered a regular michelada and a piña and they were both good. Though I preferred the regular over the piña! (In my personal opinion) But the piña is still good if you like sweet! My first time here and experienced was not good at all. We walked in at a good time there was only a 2 people eating inside so was not busy at all. We placed our drink orders and they came out pretty fast but after that our food took like 40 minutes to come out keep in mind this place was almost empty. After getting our food we asked for a salsa for our tacos and carne asada plate they brought us out same salsa they gave us for the chips, by then there was like 5 more other people inside the restaurant the waitress never came by to check on us we had to call her twice to order more drinks. The food tastes incredibly fresh and packed full of flavor. The salsa is one of the best I've ever had. We ordered the street tacos, Baja and grilled fish tacos. All were a 100/10! The flavor absolutely hit the spot, and then some! Our server, Yoselin, was so personable and accommodating. I frequently drive past this place and decided to stop in today for lunch. I was greeted immediately and was told to sit wherever I liked. The place was clean and Spanish oldies were playing. Worst experience ever! My girlfriends and I had our Galentine's dinner here we arrived there around 7:30PM and didn't get to order our drinks or food in till an hour later. Our drinks and food came one by one but one of my friends ended up not getting their food at all. One of their servers offers a dish "on the house" yet my friend just decided to cancel over all because we all finished eating. And even tho she refused the "on the house" meal they still brought her a plate to eat. And later when asking about our round of shots the server said "that were almost coming out" but never came out at all. And we had ordered it when we first got here. At this point it was already 9:30-10PM I requested the check and after 30 mins of waiting for it we all got up to ask for it because it was never going to get to us at this point. Once we got the bill I reviewed it over what we ordered and they tried to over charge us on drinks and the "on the house meal." I kindly asked to have the checked fixed and the same server who gave the "on the house" meal said she removed some drinks from the check due to the inconvenience. Because at this point it was 11:20PM because they were taking forever. when I looked over the check again nothing was fixed. That we had to pay the "on the house meal" because my friend ate some of it. We ordered 4 mango chamoy margaritas and she said removed 2 from the check but yet was charging me 3?! And they were charging us two margaritas flights when we only ordered 1?! And a few other additional drinks that we didn't order. And a bill close to $500 dollars. When I spoke to the owner the only thing he was offering was to remove $20 dollars or pay the amount because he can't do anything else. And I told him about what his server had said that she will fix the check and honor the items she had claim she would honor. And he told her who authorized her to do that and she lied to my face saying she never said that. And the owner refused to fix it even though my party of 5 and I told him that she literally said she would fix and honor the items. Because we had waited over 4 hours trying to be served here. The owner has no shame, didn't care about fixing our check and tried to belittle me and his server was being defensive when it was her who offered and didn't wanna look bad in front of her boss. Please beware of their servers they will make your drinks strong so you aren't aware what you are paying for and will take advantage of you. Managers and owner are never to be found but only there to make sure you pay. Worst experience I ever had and I will never come here again!!! read more

Came here for the first time last night and have been wanting to try this place for a while now. So let's get into this. First things first, Salsa isn't that great. I asked for a hot salsa and they brought out a avocado crema style sauce, it was on the mild side. Thought the prices were a little higher, but it is family owned. The sope's were pretty good, freshly made. The burrito was a large burrito like 10" long and filled with a good amount of meat. My chile relleno was pretty good, not too much batter and the red chile sauce tasted not fresh but maybe from a can that they doctored up. Beyond the food, the decor was like día de los muertos and they had tvs hung everywhere, they didn't work, but would be really cool if they had like music videos or novellas on. They did have music playing, but i don't think the waitress knew how to work it to great. Service was okay even though the place only had 1 other guest. The DJ (Angel) was honestly the highlight of the night. he did everything he could to keep the room alive and made the experience memorable despite everything else. The waitresses were kind, but clearly undertrained, and there didn't seem to be any real management presence. The only time a manager appeared was when there was an issue with the bill. they initially tried to charge us nearly $500 for items we didn't order and things they had said would be comped. This all happened when the restaurant wasn't even busy, which made the delays and confusion even more frustrating. The food was mediocre at best, and overall the experience was disappointing. Ordered drinks and food at the same time, the drinks for one person came out 20 minutes later and then the next drinks came out 40 minutes after. My food came an hour after I ordered, then my husband's 20 minutes later, then my son's 20 minutes after that. We kept having to ask for things, forks, napkins.
