Coco was the first therapist who not only heard what I was saying but figured out precisely where my body was failing me. There are plenty of well-trained massage therapists who will deliver the textbook experience, but in over 20 years of various deep tissue, Thai, shiatsu, etc. massages, I can count on one hand the number of therapists with this uncanny ability to find the exact pressure points that need release. Coco is that rare person and I'd recommend her wholeheartedly. I was sore, to be sure, but that night I slept without pain for the first time in months. The booking experience is entirely online (though I suppose you can call). The ambience is chill vibes. Would definitely recommend and repeat if the need arises again.

I had been suffering with shoulder pain (radiating from neck base to hand) for about 6 months when…read moremy daughter made an appointment for me here for a sports massage. I had previously seen a physical therapist over 4 visits, to no relief, and never considered sports massage therapy. I booked with Vincent for my third visit after reading reviews about his ability with shoulder pain specifically. After two visits with Vincent over the course of 3 -4 months, my shoulder pain has gone away. Crazy thing is I don't even know when it went away. But I do know that after both visits I felt better circulation. Something, I can't say what exactly, but something always felt better. I did like the first two therapists and felt I was on the right track with sports massage, but I had the best connection with Vincent. One year later, which was last week, I went to see him again for overall upper body health and circulation. Vincent is professional, kind, and is knowledgeable about human physiology. Unfortunately he no longer services 34th St, only the 54th location. I recommend Vincent and all the staff at Body Mechanics.

Her intuitive touch, deep knowledge of the body, and ability to tailor each session to exactly what I need make every massage a transformative experience. Katya has a rare gift--not only does she relieve tension and pain, but she also creates a space for true relaxation and healing. Whether I need deep tissue work, targeted relief, or just an hour to reset and recharge, she always knows exactly what to do. She remembers all of the details of my injuries and body's idiosyncrasies and makes sure to review those issues at following sessions. I refer her to everyone I know, and every single person I've sent her way has raved about her just as much as I do. If you're looking for a massage therapist who is skilled, professional, and genuinely cares about your well-being, Katya is the absolute best!

She was so professional and knowledgeable about the body and my body as well as what it needed. My body was "jacked up" as she said and she wasn't wrong. She was so good that I made sure I booked her monthly and I've never bothered to get a massage from anywhere or anyone else because she's THAT GOOD! Her techniques and intuitiveness to your body and where you need the most attention comes through and you leave feeling like a brand new person- at least for me every time. Her hands are literally magical and recommend her a 1000x over to anyone looking for a great massage.

I'm not from NYC originally but $60 for minutes is unbelievable even where I'm from in LA. The rooms are only semi-private; there is a divider between the rooms (not four walls) so you can hear some chatter. But since I was one of the only clients, it was rather a relaxing experience. The room was also clean. The masseuse Tina did a great job getting alot of my knots out and also used hot stones as well. I made sure I left a good tip, as the service was so cheap. I highly recommend this place and will be back as I am a permanent resident here now.

Depending on how you're feeling, where you're aching and what she feels your body is going to respond to at that particular moment, she's got training and learning and pulls from all different modalities: swedish, shiatsu, deep tissue, the list goes on. She is intuitive, knowledgeable and I trust her fully to work her magic to fix whatever problems I may be harboring deep inside of my web of tissues and muscles. Sometimes when she's working on me, I actually start to wonder if she can read my mind. She knows where to work on, she knows how hard to work on it, and she knows when to let up when it's a bit too painful. She has helped me fix problems I was aware of, and become aware of problems I didn't know I had. She gives me exercises to help me relieve tension and strengthen muscles that have been atrophied due to poor posture or a pronated gait. She is also warm and thoughtful, and always very pleasant to see. I should also mention that my boyfriend, the massage addict, lists her as the top massage therapist he's ever had (out of close to 100 that he's seen in his life). oh yeah, and I like her massage music choices too (I'm a snotty musician). Rachel is AMAZING!!!!
