Guess I should have checked the reviews but this place was right next to the store I was at and I had seen it a few times and wanted to go. I was seated in a booth which was comfortable and moved which is good for me (I am fat) :) Not gonna lie. Anyways, I decided to roll the die and let the die choose for me, I had a friend meet me who had revealed she was very close by at the time and I said I would order a Pepsi and wait for her. 5 mins later she was there and ordered a coffee. The dice chose for me to get Iced tea. I said I would order that to go because I had already ordered a Pepsi. So my friend ordered Chicken fried steak which comes with eggs and hashbrowns and I ordered Raspberry stuffed french toast and 2 eggs on the side. Wow. Her hashbrowns were super overcooked and she hardly got any... The stuffed french toast was ok, just a little bit of cream cheese inside some bread, I have had amazing stuffed french toast while in restaurants, this was just OK So anyways, my friend had to wave her down for more coffee and she never came to check on us till she brought the bill, I didn't end up ordering the iced tea because she brought the bill before I could. $45 is a lot to pay and not be happy and even the girl at the counter didn't ask us how everything was because I was ready to tell her. I've gone to the Cracked Egg for years. I cut down on the number of times I visit because they can never get my order right. I always order the Bacon and Onion breakfast. Over easy, light on the potato seasoning, crispy and easy cheese. It comes out, eggs are over cooked, no light seasoning on potato's, and not crispy. They forgot to bring out my toast. Seriously, they probably get it right 1 out 5 times maybe. I always over look the lukewarm decaf because people don't have decaf as much. They always brew a new one for me. We visited a few weeks ago and had issues with our bill - decided since food was good we would visit again. We had a party of 8 - 4 adults and 4 children. Wait was to be 25 minutes. People continued to arrive with parties of 3 and 4 and co tinier to be seated over us. When asked after 40 min I was told there were no table for 8! So you can't push two tables together ? Poor service - poor consideration to guest already here and waiting. The service has dropped considerably over the past months. read more

I spotted this place via yelp and thought it has great reviews so let's give it a try. It's a typical diner, Los fashioned and reminiscent of something you would find in an 80's movie. Let me start by saying this is a good restaurant however the service and quality in repeat orders, needs work. If you're looking for a tasty brunch spot The Cracked Egg has several options. The restaurant is a little busy for my liking, which also effects the overall service. To avoid this, I have been ordering take out for the past few months. All in all about 20 mins to get your order. I'm a creature of habit so the Country Benny is my go to. When ordering, the gentleman who answers phones on the weekends, usually asks how you want the eggs cooked. Poached. Benny's come with poached runny eggs, anything else is a sin. Fight me. Each time I get this order, the eggs are unpredictable. While I am not always asked about how I'd like the eggs prepared, that all depends on who takes my order. Will I get hard poached this time? Another fun one is when the two eggs are cooked differently, with one runny and one cooked completely hard. This is disappointing as I can't exactly send it back. I'm also not trying to be the guy examining the food before I take it out of the restaurant. I'll of course be back because the food really is delicious. But hope all the food that comes out of the kitchen is held to the same caliber, regardless of whether it's eaten in the restaurant or carried out. read more

Leaving Vegas on our way to Arizona we stumbled across the cracked egg. What a treat! Not only do they have tons of different options with scrambles and omelettes, they have a huge menu. They pride themselves on their homemade coffee cake which is clearly freshly made though if you were anticipating a streusel cinnamon delight, it will not match your expectations. This homemade cake is light, warm, has a simple with a glaze on top and some apples (think apple filling) inside. It is sweet. I had the sweet potato scramble which was delicious. It's nice to see a variety of options that extend beyond the traditional veggies and meats. My only regret is that I do not live closer to this restaurant. read more

Decided to check out their Eggs Benedict this morning. Dreena was our server this morning, and she was great. She was attentive and very professional. We always split a breakfast and get a side of some kind. So we ordered the Benedict, replacing the Canadian Bacon with regular bacon, and then decided on a coffee cake. We ordered coffee, and I like that there was regular cream as well as vanilla creamer already at the table. The coffee was really good. Nice and hot, and had good flavor. Our coffee cake came out very quickly, and after about three bites of that our breakfast arrived. The coffee cake was very crumbly, but really flavorful. Nice vanilla flavor with a hint of lemon in the icing. The eggs Benedict was not a huge portion, actually rather small. Definitely not worthy of sharing like we typically do. Good to know, so next time we will actually get separate breakfasts. I like their use of green chiles throughout the menu, so we will be checking those out at some point. We arrived at 9:30 Sunday, and the place was jamming. It was loud, but not bad. We felt rushed, even though our server made sure to tell us we were not to be in any hurry. But with our breakfast coming out in mere minutes, and the small portions we were done quickly. The line to pay was really long. That was just bad timing on our part. But the line wrapped along the wall, and in front of the kitchen where the servers all come and go with food. It was hectic. Not the greatest experience, but we will give it another try. read more

Came in here on a Friday morning with an old friend, got seated promptly - wow did this place fill up fast. Got the corned beef hash and some orange juice - everything turned out great. Even though the restaurant was almost at capacity, the food still came out promptly. If I had to pick one disappointing thing about my visit, it would have been that my friend's coffee got refilled 4 times while we were there without him asking whereas I was never offered a refill or even a glass of water after I finished my shot glass sized orange juice. Also - I wish they would handle your bill at your table, but I guess they'd rather us just bring it up. I thought this was a little annoying. A good experience nonetheless. My stepdad got the Carnitas omelette and he really like the chile verde sauce, he said he was very authentic and the meat was not dry. my sister got the Country Benny, she enjoyed this as well as it's basically a fancy biscuits and gravy. Plenty of great breakfast places throughout the Las Vegas valley, but this has to be toward the top of the list. Has a nice mix of a "diner" feel while being clean, modern, and having the service experience you'd expect in a regular restaurant. We managed to time our visit just right as we were seated immediately. Since we have kids, it's always nice to have a menu for them to color. They provide colored pencils for kids instead of crayons, so just a heads up if you have little little ones. My wife ordered the Carnitas omelette. I always hesitate to get things like that because the Carnitas aren't usually authentic and it ends up just being regular pork. In this case, they were perfect. Very flavorful and loaded into the omelette. It's also topped with a healthy amount of sour cream. Very balanced, delicious dish. I opted for the ham and eggs. The ham steak is huge, well prepped, and goes great with however you take your eggs. We also both got the seasoned potatoes with our meals and they were super good. Sides are always best when they compliment the main dish and the potatoes do just that. Well seasoned, large portion, and just crispy enough on the outside while staying soft on the inside. Could not be better cooked. The real kicker of the meal was the coffee cake. Instead of toast or other bread, you can opt for coffee cake with your meal. Since we went in the fall, the coffee cake was pumpkin chocolate chip flavored. It was delicious, light, and humongous. It's a little lighter than a traditional coffee cake, but still very good. Service was top notch throughout our experience. Even paying our check at the front after we were done was incredibly smooth despite the entrance being packed with people. Definitely a can't miss experience, even if you're coming from the strip. Well worth the 10-15 minute drive for some great food and prompt service. read more

Such an amazing restaurant and so very busy so be prepared to wait a bit. But well worth it! With Eggs Benedict you can never rely on a chefs poaching the eggs to perfection, but The Cracked Egg gets it right every time. And the menu is wonderful and staff is amazing! If you prefer a quiet meal then order out as they are so busy it can get a bit noisy. Personal preference, I prefer a quieter atmosphere during mealtime, my thing and not their fault. Well this place has changed. My mom warned me about this location that I haven't been to in about 5 years so I guess the pandemic has changed and maybe the staff. Of course I noticed one staff from back then older Hispanic male who was great back then and is great now. Now my mom was correct. I returned for the first time I can say that the portions are smaller, and the famous coffee cake didn't taste so famous this morning. The coffee cake was burnt and not fluffy. I ordered a pesto scramble. It was good but it didn't taste like it used to. I recommend this place for the older crowd which who filled the seats spilling water on his wife who sat across from him. He tried to save her but he moved too slow. I will give them another chance, but I'll wait until next year. I kind of trailed off there. I can say the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. I came in on a Sunday and was told I could sit at the counter because they were pretty busy. When I arrived they pretty quickly sat me at a he counter and it went downhill from there. It took about 10 minutes before someone even came and asked me for my drink order, which was coffee and water. Pretty standard. That took about another 10 minutes to be brought to my countertop, where I was the only one sitting at the counter. I ordered plain Eggs Benedict. After about 20 minutes a waitress came by and said they had a lot of takeout/delivery orders and that it was taking a little longer than normal? All in all, the meal took about 30 minutes for them to bring it to me, and when it arrived, the eggs were completely undercooked, the English muffins weren't very toasted and it was pretty gross overall. The Canadian bacon seemed like some kind of sliced lunch meat that also wasn't cooked very well. I probably ate about half of it , paid my bill and left. I finally tried the Cracked Egg yesterday as it is close by and we were starving. Though it was a tad pricey for what I got, it was a re-creation of something I love at Magnolia Cafe in Austin, and it also had eggs. I got the skillet, which is the seasoned potatoes, melted jack and cheddar cheese, and 2 eggs any style - then I get to add toppings. The eggs - poached easy with perfectly runny yolks. I got tomatillo sauce, scallions (not a choice but still got em), and avocado slices. This combo just works, and it clogs the arteries too, but it is soooooo delicious. I also tasted Eric R.'s coffee cake that came with his omelette - it was more like dessert but steaming hot, a welcome change from the cold cake slices at Starbucks. Only confusing thing is when you walk in, there is a line for the cashier, but no hostess. It took us awhile to find someone to seat us. read more
