First off the service here is top notch. I had coffee in my cup within two minutes of sitting down, and my cup was never empty until I was ready to leave. The server was extremely friendly throughout the entire meal. There is quite a selection to choose from but it isn't overwhelming. I settled on the Hay Stack because I wanted biscuits and gravy and eggs. I would have preferred something besides sausage, but I didn't ask about a substitution. (Suggestion: Think about making this customizable on the menu with meat and potato options. I would love to have done this with ham and home fries instead of sausage and hash browns.) I also ordered a side of grits. While not an issue for me since I can season my food myself, I did end up adding salt to both dishes and pepper to the grits. The inside of the building is very cozy and the place was full of locals when I arrived. It stayed busy through my time there. There were specials on the menu board as well. Overall, this was a good place with good food and excellent service, and I have no reservations about recommending this business if you are looking for a breakfast nook in Mountain Home. read more

What a little gem. We were in town for medical appointments. A 2 hour pause between tests gave us time to enjoy a sit down breakfast. Food-I ordered ham n eggs. It came with a huge slab of ham, 2 perfectly cooked eggs, crispy hashbrowns, and toast. Hubby had sausage n eggs w 2 biscuits n gravy. We shared a pancake. No complaints about anything. Hubby said biscuit n gravy were A+! Server was friendly and efficient. She followed up a couple of times, to make sure everything was ok. The restaurant was quiet, even though there were about 15 patrons present. It was very clean---including the restroom. Great experience. We'll be back! read more

Absolutely happy to have found this quaint place! So hard to find a restaurant in this area yet here sits a quiet little gem that has a limite menu of homemade comfort foods in a very cozy/homey setting. The staff is very friendly, prompt and attentive. The food is really good!! Ive had the breakfast ham/cheese omelet that came with a hugh side of biscuits and gravy. The amount was plentiful and Oh so good!! My next visit i had the homemade chicken soup, that's definitely Homemade, also the Patty Melt ( it comes with pickle & chips bit i got cottage cheese in its place) The marble rye bread is perfectly toasted, the burger is juicy topped with carmlized onions and some sort of cheese. Its very tasty!! Theres plenty of parking, masks are NOT required, the only bad thing i can say about this place is that if you want home cooked food, that you don't have to cook, you need to get there before 2:00 PM!! Had a wonderful breakfast here. The staff were so incredibly friendly it was like eating with family. The pancakes were huge and biscuits very tasty. The sausage gravy was great on the biscuits, especially when adding a nice over easy egg on top of the biscuit. Purists might elect for sausage links with their eggs, but the sausage patty is actually my favorite here. All in all a great, inexpensive place for breakfast. read more

First time to eat there was today. We were looking for a place to eat a late breakfast and heard they had a good one. Food was great, the prices were very reasonable, the place was clean, and the waitress was excellent. We are an older couple and liked the quiet atmosphere. I have waited for a while to write my review. Me and my mother go to the Cozy Kitchen multiple times a week. Probably 4 times a week. The staff is amazing, every single one of them treat you like family! I have never been in where your not greeted with a smile. The food is amazing! I have tried almost everything on the menu and everything is great. Breakfast and lunch. I don't think I have ever been unsatisfied with a meal. Terrible service! We were fortunate to have a waitress take our order and grateful she returned forty five minutes later with three basic breakfasts. That was the last time we saw her. Nobody came back to ask how the food was or if we wanted anything else. I got up three separate times and took the coffee pot over to our table to refill my dad's coffee and helped myself to their water pitcher to refill our water glasses. We were completely ignored.
