(Suggestion: Think about making this customizable on the menu with meat and potato options. I would love to have done this with ham and home fries instead of sausage and hash browns.) I also ordered a side of grits. While not an issue for me since I can season my food myself, I did end up adding salt to both dishes and pepper to the grits. The inside of the building is very cozy and the place was full of locals when I arrived. It stayed busy through my time there. There were specials on the menu board as well. I was searching Yelp for places to eat in Salem, AR, when I came across Not Your Mama's Kitchen…read more Pictures of the hamburgers and fries looked good, so we drove to their location to eat. I'm very glad we did. As it turns out, this is a little mobile eatery where you get the food to go. It's been voted the best food truck in the area. Just because it's not a dine-in restaurant, doesn't mean it's not good. The hamburgers are hot and cooked to order. The veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions) are very fresh. I like how they let you have your choice of cheeses for your burger such as American, pepper Jack, or cheddar. They may have other options. Those are just the ones I remember. You can also get bacon, bbq sauce, grilled onions, or grilled jalapeños on your burger. For an added bonus, their French fries come with the hamburger or sandwich. Instead of fries, you can get one of their other side options such as chips, coleslaw or beans. The guys running this operation are friendly and very good cooks. Give it a try. I think you will be equally as impressed. Besides hamburgers and sandwiches, they have other options on the full menu. Check them out.
