Overpriced, and quality of burgers were way below average (visiting from Southern Cali). Price of over $ 20 per burger is absurd for the quality you get on a plate....Dry burgers, & buns wasn't fresh. Floors were dirty and trash was laying around all over the ground. Water dispenser wasn't working and employee was unable to fix it. Horrible experience for a family of 5 paying over $120 for burgers and fries. Elk burger was good. Fries were unexceptional, a little soggy. Corral chicken salad had more chicken than salad. I had to ask if they actually put tequila in the Margarita it was so weak; they brought me another which did taste like it had a little tequila in it. Nice deck! read more

This place had good reviews on Yelp, so we had a try when we stayed in the town. This place is next to the main road and closed to the national park. However, we thought it was just OK. They had a lot of outdoor tables and chairs where you could pick your seats. We tried bison and Elk burgers, both of them came with fires. We think both of them tasted very similar, and they were very similar to the beef. They did not ask us how much we want them to cook, and one of them was rawer than another one. The fires were just ok (froze fries from the market). It sounds very cool to try elk and bison, the price is kinda high (like $17-ish), does not really worth trying. read more

Gardner is a good home base before heading into (or out of the park) and if you're there around mealtime head to The Corral. I got a delicious beef burger with a nice bun and great toppings. Only disappointment was no blue cheese (boo!). The fries were thin and perfectly cooked. Jalapeño poppers were fine and the kids chicken tenders were quite tasty as well. Gardiner for a day and everything was closed before 8 p.m. We only found this place open but is closing 30 minutes. We entered and a guy asked us to take a seat. Never had elk so I ordered an elk burger and my friend ordered a salmon burger. Both sound interesting to me. Elk tastes good which tastes like deer and salmon taste great too. The only thing I don't like is the fries it comes with. I feel like fries are kinda soggy. Also ordered hot wings which were soft and tender. Besides fries everything was great. read more

We generally eat late dinners at home. With the time change to Mountain Time, we didn't even think about dinner until it was 9:00 pm. Luckily we found The Corral and they are open til 10:00 pm. They have a small but nice indoor seating for when it's cold and wet. I think most people come to Yellowstone when the weather is warmer and there is plenty of outside seating. Today it's been raining and cold. Mid 40's at this time of day. They have a descent menu, serving breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Not a lot of vegetarian options, but it's at least vegetarian friendly. I ordered a bowl of tomato soup. It came with a buttered toasted ciabatta roll. Well, half of the roll. The soup was delicious! It's actually a cream of tomato soup. It was hearty and they added Parmesan cheese on top! Yum!!! This is definitely not Campbell's soup. Husband ordered the salmon burger with mushrooms. He loved it. I didn't taste it. I'll take his word for it. We walked back to our hotel room feeling very satisfied. read more

Nothing special whatsoever. Very average bison burger, to be generous about it. Good size, but bland and very greasy. The service was terrible. When we walked in, the young man (teenager/early 20's) didn't greet us with a "hello" or "welcome" but rather an abruptly spewed list of what they didn't have (which oddly included the special of the day, according to the poster on the wall). He and the cook (the only two people working) didn't seem to care much about customer service or manners whatsoever. All that and a $60 tab for two bison burgers, a kids burger, and fries (we didn't order any drinks). At least the fries were good. Pretty darn good Cheese Burgers. We got the Wagyu Beef Burgers and they were fantastic. My wife is usually pretty picky about here Burgers and raved about this one. Even the fries were done just right. Went back 2 nights in a row after a big day at Yellowstone. Tried them for breakfast and will just say that the Burgers are FAR better than breakfast. Wouldn't know about food because we never got served. We waited 20 mins to get through the line and place our order. We were given a number and told find a place to sit. We placed the number on our table and 40 mins later we still did not have our food. After asking the server about it we were told there was a mixup and there was no order. Spoke to the manager and got our money back. We will be in the area for a week but that is the last time I will darken that doorway. read more

Love this spot! I've had bison burgers in Utah but Corral's definitely takes the cake. I tried an elk burger for the first time there out of pure curiosity, and it was DELICIOUS. We got both the elk and bison burgers but if we went back we would get the elk burger again, it's juicer than the bison since bison is lean with less fat. The fried mushrooms were AMAZING. THE HOUSE OF NO. Walked in on a Saturday evening needing a burger--especially the elk variety this place was offering. We were greeted with "No shakes, no Caesar salad, no chicken, no soup" (NO SOUP FOR YOU!). Ordered two elk burgers with cheese. I asked for grilled onions. NO. Comes with fries. I asked if they had onion rings. Yes, but... NO substitutions. Ordered them anyway along with two side salads. So to recap, two elk burgers, the fries they come with, onion rings and two side salads. There were two of us. They came out with the salads. One could feeds a family of five. They were excellent. Next came the onion rings and the burgers. I set aside my field of greens and dove in to a delicious burger. The fries were perfection. The rings were good, not great. All this fun to say the food was excellent. The indoor atmosphere was meh--four tables. I'm sure outside in the warmer weather is much preferred. The icing though was $16 for a burger. Elk. I know. The beef was $14. In rural Montana. Had I not been greeted with a chorus of NO when I walked in the $$$ might have been ok. All to say I'd probably go back but I'd adjust my expectations. Great spot to have dinner after a long day at Yellowstone. The restaurant has been serving food locally for decades and was recognized in USA Today, I believe. You can have classic in this area Elk or Bison burger or try something else. Food wasn't too expensive and tasted well. It was also prepared quickly. At first you might think is pricey, however, the portions are very generous and taste delicious. The service was OUTSTANDING! We arrived 10 minutes before closing, after a long day at Yellowstone. We had no expectations of sitting down, given the time, and we were prepared not be served bc they were about to close. Well, not only did they prepared delicious burger, fries and drinks, but they invited us to eat there without any rush, and the owner even approached our table to turn on the fire pit at the center. I say this because if you're in Gardiner there isn't many other places to try - just take my advice and get burgers from here. Personally, I felt that all of the burgers tasted the same, so just get the beef and save $3. The toppings are really good if you want grilled onions, bacon, or jalapeños but the standard order comes with lettuce, tomato, and raw onions if you don't want to pay extra.
