The absolute best meal we had in and around Yellowstone!! Everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Food is not salty like all the other meals we had on this trip and our kidneys are thankful. The guy who took our order and made the food (we unfortunately didn't get his name) is friendly and professional. We honestly could eat here everyday!

Hidden gem right outside the town of Gardiner. Around mile marker 5 north of town sitting on the side of the highway. The food was delicious. The options were surprising for a food truck set up as there were lots of healthy and unexpected dish options made with lots of fresh ingredients! The quality is high. It was such a refreshing change from the types of foods we felt we had been limited to during our trip and with our budget. Prices were very reasonable for what we got here. We loved the ambiance as the sun was going down! Definitely need to be careful walking up to it from the parking area, especially after dark, as it's not level ground to the truck. They had just enough lighting to help you see the path up to the truck. There was one table set up on the level area beyond the truck that was easy to get to (on flat ground) but the other tables required navigating a couple steps down or around a few little rocks. We didn't mind it at all as it adds to the unique vibe, but wanted to point that out for others who may have mobility issues. The parking off the highway in front was very spacious (plenty of room for RVs) and lots of people were picking up food for takeout and eating inside their vehicles as it had become a little chilly after the sun had set. Definitely worth a short drive outside of the busy town area! Service was friendly too.

Delicious food that is huge! The food truck serves fresh food that is made to order. It's on the pricey side so thankfully the portion and quality make up for it. There's tables with umbrellas set up so you can eat your food right there. I ordered the bahn mi wrap with chicken. The chicken was very moist and tender. The wrap had rice, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and a teriyaki like sauce on it. I wanted more sauce on the wrap because it was so good. There was a little more rice than I like. We also ordered a side of fries. The fries were crisp and delicious on their own. My husband ordered a shrimp poor boy. The bread it came on with nice and soft with a flakey crust. I almost wished I had asked to substitute the roll for the tortilla on my wrap. The roll was that good. My husband said there was a little more mustard than he preferred on the sandwich.

I went there in summer, 2019. Nice outside picnic style eating area. I had a noodle, which is very American and not bad. It is not "ramen" at all, but it's very good option of food. If you expect Japanese Ramen or something, you will be disappointed of, but if not it is a great variety from Pizza, burger and steak food. Overall food price in this tiny tourist town is slightly overpriced, just FYI.

Saw the good reviews and decided to stop by and pick up dinner while in Gardiner. The Bear's Blood slushy was good and perfect for a warm summer day. The food was not great. We had the ribs, rice bowl with chicken, fish & chips, and ramen. The rice bowl was the best of the three but we would rate it 6 out of 10 (good amount of rice and chicken). The ribs were tough. The asian fusion style ramen was beautifully presented but should not be called ramen. The rice noodles are not meant to be in ramen. The broth was hard to taste or detect since there was so little of it. The pork was tender but so salty that it was not edible. It seemed like the chef was trying to mesh together a Vietnamese rice vermicelli bowl with the concept of ramen but it was not executed well.

Shrimp po boy and ramen bowl

We stopped here for dinner last night after a day at the park. The [grilled] shrimp po boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Not sure how much more descriptive I can get than that. It was a work of art. My wife had a ramen bowl that was equally delicious. Driving a few miles out of Gardiner to find this place was the best decision we made on our trip. Very friendly service, too. We will be frequenting this place every time we come back for a Yellowstone visit.

The food was ready in maybe 10 minutes max despite the large order size. There is not much paradox of choice going on here with just two protein options - turkey and pulled pork - and five or so sides including cheesy corn, collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. The turkey was great - moist, with some nice additions (apple maybe?). The pork was fine but a tiny bit dry. The cheesy corn was a tad oily but the rest of the sides were great, especially the collard greens. It's located in an outdoor area where there is an open-air bar and corn hole, so you can essentially be at the barbecue place and an outdoor bar at the same time. Overall, a few tiny tweaks could be made to the food but it was a very enjoyable experience and soul-comforting food.

The Explorer had sweet corn, jalapeno, a buttercream sauce, and seasoning. It sounds plain, but it really wasn't! Sometimes potatoes can be under seasoned or still hard (if undercooked), but it was perfect! I'm extremely curious about their other options too. Some had chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch sauce, and/or veggies. Most were about 16-17$, but the serving size was decent. The staff was extremely friendly and answered my questions. They're currently parked for the summer and are open from 11:30-8 PM (closed Sunday and Monday). I'm going to save this spot for when I come back into town. I hope they get more visitors!

I got scared because I didn't want to solely eat protein bars. I quick Google and Yelp search secured this falafel spot. I was shocked and didn't expect to find falafels in Montana of all places. Thankfully, the falafels are VEGAN!! It's a one man show meaning, the owner takes the orders and cooks the food. The falafels are MADE to ORDER, so the wait time is quite long. He takes two orders per person not to lose track of orders. I ordered the falafel combo which comes with six falafels, rice, hummus, a small salad, and a drink all for $20/even. Even though the card machine says $.60 cent tax, the owner won't accept and is firm about the solid bill. Now for the food: the falafels were very tasty. Savory; not gritty or chunky. The falafels are hockey pucks, not round balls. I appreciate the shape since they were easier to dig out the hummus. The hummus was not my favorite thing. It tasted like straight tahini with chickpeas. No lemony flavor. It wasn't gross, but the taste of tahini is acquired alone. The salad is a mixture of onions, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes. Nothing extravagant, but was fresh. The rice is yellow with faint seasoning, but it is delicious fluffy and cooked well. The location is a tad bit confusing though; if using Google maps it'll take you to the wrong Chevron. To locate the food truck, go to the Chevron gas station in front of a clothing store and next general store with the ice cream out front. The owner was very nice and on a Saturday night, he didn't close at 10pm like Google says. It stays open later. Food hit the spot after exploring Yellowstone all day. I slept like a baby!
