This place is epic! What a view of the very north edge of the park. The restaurant is literally just a few blocks from the North Entrance to Yellowstone in Gardiner, Montana. Food was fresh and fantastic! Was ALWAYS crowded at breakfast time! Highly recommended! read more

The food is good - BUT - this place is kind of a hot mess. We came for breakfast on a Sunday. They were out of a lot of things. Also - if you drink coffee - the espresso machine was broken. My husband wanted a biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage - they were out of biscuits. So I got him a bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage instead. I ordered sausage links for my baby, I asked if they had any kind of fruit I could buy for my baby. They said no that they only had bananas for smoothies - which is odd being a place that sells fruit smoothies... For myself I ordered a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich and a mango madness smoothie). My mother in law wanted a lotus energy drink - but they were out of lotus syrup. A few minutes later the gal that rang us up came to our table and let us know they were out of sausage for breakfast sandwiches. Asked what we wanted instead. They still has sausage links, so that's what we had on our sandwiches. When our food was ready they brought everything over except the sausage for my baby - which they clearly forgot to make cause that was a long wait till it arrived (5 or more minutes). Putting food in front of a hungry baby and none of it is for him is not a good idea lol. My husband ended up giving him his sausage and wait to eat his sandwich till they brought more over. I also gave my baby some of my smoothie - the smoothie was good. So, out of several items, and forgot part of our order.... Just seemed a bit chaotic. Food and smoothie was good and the people who work there are nice. read more

Stopped by Yellowstone Grill in Gardiner and ordered the biscuits and gravy. Coming from an old Southern boy, I'm usually pretty picky about this dish, but I have to say it wasn't too bad at all. The biscuits were hearty, the gravy had good flavor, and the portion size was satisfying. No, it's not quite like sitting down in a country diner back home, but for Montana, it definitely hit the spot. The staff was friendly, service was prompt, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If you're looking for a solid breakfast before heading into Yellowstone, the biscuits and gravy are worth a try. read more

Visited Yellowstone Grill for some grab and go but ended up being here for about 45 min. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was good but they forgot about the order and I had to ask several times for them to remember and to make it. We also got Huevos Rancheros which were less good but also came out much quicker, which is how I know they forgot the breakfast sandwich (besides that it wasn't that busy that a simple breakfast sandwich should not take that long). They did not offer to comp. it as they should have in this situation. We also got a berry smoothy that was pretty good. It was more healthy tasting and less sweet but I was ok with that. Overall, price was expected and environment seemed nice with the indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Stopped here on our way to the park. Order at the counter then grab a seat! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted outdoors due to the amazing weather. The food was great and plentiful. Would definitely revisit again! read more

This place is delicious! We ordered the biscuits and gravy and added bacon to it. Servings are big so I'm glad we shared. We also couldn't pass up one of the cinnamon rolls. Oh my gosh they are so yummy! Probably one of the best I have had. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Coffee was great too, comes in a big mug. If we were staying 2 nights we would definitely come back tomorrow for breakfast. Staff was also very friendly! read more

I couldn't find a yelptastic page for this business so had to add one specifically to give them a 5 star rating! They closed at 1130 and still let us order at 1120, I felt so bad but the ladies were so nice about it since we didn't know! I had breakfast tacos with hash browns, eggs, your choice of meat, cheese (no salsa for me). They were EXCELLENT. I chose andouille sausage for meat it was a bit spicy but so good! Hubs liked his scramble as well but I think it was a little small for my big man. Anyways, probably going here tomorrow before we leave town. The town of Gardiner is super cute and this place fits that perfectly. Young ladies working super nice and considerate even asking husband if he wanted more coffee even though they were technically closed. We will be back whenever we get lucky enough to return to the area. Ok EDIT: when I came back to see if this business had been added, I was directed to the apparent already there Yelp page! ... however it was not searchable did not come up in search bar with many different attempts. and I'm wondering if people report businesses "permanently closed" when really they are only closed for the season... which is pretty much every business in the winter around Yellowstone ... if you see the most recent review after mine is over 2 years ago. Confused, is there a way to avoid this I wonder? read more

If you need to get energized in the morning before you go visit Yellowstone, then you have to come here to get some drinks and breakfast. Love their eggs and hash browns. Hash browns seems like fresh hash browns or they don't overcook it because you are actually biting into potatoes texture. Big portion, chill atmosphere and you can see the mountains through their roll down garage window. Service is fast. Pancake the huge. Size of the plate but the one I have seems like it is not cook all the way because the middle is sticky and gooey. Everything else is good though read more

This place is extremely busy but well run. You don't have to wait a long time for your food and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The only two things I would say about my meal is that they tell you you will get toast with your breakfast, which is not toast at all but bread that has been possibly pushed down in a toaster that doesn't work and it comes out white. Also their hash browns are really hash whites as they have virtually no Brown in them at all. These are not two things that should exclude them from your eating at this restaurant. I think if I were to have asked to make sure my toast was brown and that my hash browns were also well done they probably would have tried to do that but they were very busy and sadly many restaurants don't actually serve actual "toast" or hash "browns", but might if you specifically asked for them when you order. My omelette and biscuit were delicious. read more

What a great breakfast spot in Gardiner. You place your order at the counter and find your seat. Their Lattes are very delicious and come in cute cups! We got the Old Faithful breakfast (traditional) and Breakfast tacos with sausage. All were excellent at a fair price. My husband said the eggs were cooked perfectly. Hashbrowns were a little oilier than I would like. read more

Dropped in for breakfast before heading into the Park in January. Had the Chicken Fried Chicken, it was fantastic, the hash browns were awesome, the wife had an omelette and said it was delicious. For all you locals, fishing & hunting guides and folks passing through town you need to stop in and support this family owned small businesses, you won't be disappointed. The owner knows how to cook. Good luck - we'll be back. read more

Very good food and friendly local people. Actually met the cooks mother who invited us to sit with them for breakfast.

Came in for breakfast on the last morning of our stay (9/5/24) and wished we'd found this sooner! Really excellent breakfast, thoughtful service and a fun and relaxed ambiance. Biscuits and gravy brought a tear to our eyes - just like my husband's Mom used to make. And the bonus was that we'd been looking for a tee shirt that said "Gardiner MT" instead of Yellowstone, since we'd had such a pleasant stay there. They had a nice Yellowstone Grill tee in my husband's size that says Gardiner MT too. It was such a hit that we called a week later to ask if they could please ship us another one - Schalene got my Venmo info, packed up the shirt and we're now proudly advertising the Yellowstone Grill all over San Jose CA. read more

You order at counter. Food was just okay. Pancakes were big but very dry and dense. Cinnamon bun was good!

Stopped in for breakfast. Had the breakfast taco with sausage. Very good. Husband had the Mediterranean omelet it was good size and came with a lot of hash browns. 9 grain bread was excellent. Grandson had the ham and cheese omelet and he said the ham was perfectly cooked and the omelet was not burnt but the hash browns had too much pepper. Strawberry Banana smoothie was very good. read more

The overall visit was poor! The quality of food was poor as well! The service was very slow!

Good food and great service. Classic breakfast foods and delicious Carmel cinnamon roll.

Food was outstanding. Great breakfast to start the day! Much better than the Cowboys Grill

would give 0 stars if I could. they were out of smoothies and burgers. they never served me my food after waiting over 40 minutes. I was on my lunch break so I had to go back to work and I asked for a refund they didn't return my tip. theyre poorly stocked in the winter and should be closed if they can't serve their menu read more

Great little place to have breakfast before heading into the namesake park. The place has a definite hipster vibe to it with food made from local ingredients and with excellent taste. I can't say that there is a huge level of sophistication to the dishes one might expect from hip places in New York but I was very impressed by the quality of the fare even if it wasn't hipster sophisticated. Eggs local and grown in the best traditions, great baked goods and fresh pastries. I would love to visit again. read more

Cute place in a great location. They have a great selection of options and drinks and their food is really good. I gave them 4 stars because the eggs Benedict came out cooked over medium rather than poached. It's early in the season - they may still be training the staff. Highly recommend otherwise. read more

Fantastic breakfast food. This is by far the best breakfast spot in town. Excellent service too.

Looking for a good home cooked breakfast in town this is your spot. The atmosphere is nice the dining area is clean and staff is friendly. The food was amazing we had a omelette and then the old faithful breakfast the hash browns were delicious, all the food truly had a home made flavor no heavy grease or oil flavor. We ordered and after 30 minutes noticed 5 tables get their food before us. I went up to talk to the lady and she assured me our ticket is in there. After more tables got their food, she said they forgot to put our ticket in. Also pass on the lattes, we got ours cold and it tasted like milk. I think they only put one espresso in all sizes, as my partner got large and his tasted even milkier and was colder than mine. read more

Oh My Gosh... the food here is amazing!! Do not miss this place if you are in the area. Don't let the wait scare you away. It is SO WORTH IT!!. My only regret was I could get BLT eat here one day due to travel arrangements. The line will take you to the register where you order. The management asks that you do not take a table until order has been placed. It looks impossible but everyone gets a seat before their order is ready. As you can see from the menu pictures, there is something for everyone. I recommend checking out the menu while you wait in line so you know what to order when you reach the register. Also, look around and see what others are having. However that will make your choice harder because it all looks fabulous. Check out the specialty bakery items near the register. They are wonderful!! This is the perfect time to pick up a snack for later when in the park. Street parking can be troublesome but keep looking. Also, as we drive down a back alley we saw elk in two different yards. read more
