The enchilada meal came with 3 nice size enchiladas with your choice of protein - I choose beef and chicken. We did chicken on the tacos. While the enchiladas were super tasty the tacos seemed a little dry. Maybe some verde sauce would help? The order was prepared promptly and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would try again - check them out next time you're in West Yellowstone !

My husband wanted a biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage - they were out of biscuits. So I got him a bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage instead. I ordered sausage links for my baby, I asked if they had any kind of fruit I could buy for my baby. They said no that they only had bananas for smoothies - which is odd being a place that sells fruit smoothies... For myself I ordered a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich and a mango madness smoothie). My mother in law wanted a lotus energy drink - but they were out of lotus syrup. A few minutes later the gal that rang us up came to our table and let us know they were out of sausage for breakfast sandwiches. Asked what we wanted instead. They still has sausage links, so that's what we had on our sandwiches. When our food was ready they brought everything over except the sausage for my baby - which they clearly forgot to make cause that was a long wait till it arrived (5 or more minutes). Putting food in front of a hungry baby and none of it is for him is not a good idea lol. My husband ended up giving him his sausage and wait to eat his sandwich till they brought more over. I also gave my baby some of my smoothie - the smoothie was good. So, out of several items, and forgot part of our order.... Just seemed a bit chaotic. (Jul 2026) We were debating, really, it's true, between plain comfort food and familiar Tex-Mex food. The Timberline Cafe is a diner. On the map, the Taqueria Resendiz is right next door. Perfect! In person, they are combined into one restaurant! Even more perfect! We had a moderately-spicy michelada and a tequila-less "wine-margarita", plus lemonades, and we read all the menus. We all ordered Mexican! Several kinds of open and folded tacos, fajitas, chip & salsa. All fresh and hot and tasty. A perfect flavorful meal, welcoming staff, in a clean bright nicely decorated restaurant. Right next to shops and historic halls, for a nice after lunch stroll, and the on our way!

One of few venues that would take reservations of this size group. They have a good amount of indoor seating. We sat on the umbrellaed patio, near the musician, just around the corner of the bar from games like cornhole. They were busy, but service was attentive. Many of us had craft beers and cocktails. Everyone was pleased, but i could not list all the beverages for you. We had at least one yummy fresh arugula salad with sirloin cooked-to-order and a lot of flavorful bacon, blue cheese crumbles, green onion, tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and thick "Texas" toast. We shared a number of the many appetizers: Crispy-coated sweet-chili Thai Shrimp were rather small but quite tasty. The tray of nachos was a glorious mess of beans, sauces and crema, mixed melty cheeses, olives, and meat ... i think we got the rich ground "buffalo". The "buffalo balls" were even messier: meatballs in deep gravy over mashed potatoes smothered in sautéed onions and mushrooms. We had "chicken "bites" with two of their yummy flavorings. The soft pretzels and cheese were long thick almost-loaves. And i completely lost track of the mains: several of their loaded burgers and overloaded tacos. The star was the 12oz medium-rare ribeye, topped with herb butter & demi glacé, loaded garlic redskin mashed potatoes, & thick garlic toast. This was a great immersion in great food, drink, ant atmosphere. The $44 ribeye was one of the top-two steaks we had during our trip. (July 2026). Pro tip: every steak is town was good, even the bargains you can find with a little hunting. But be sure to pay a little more once or twice to get the best.

Atmosphere is very cool, bar/restaurant like with sports playing on large TVs throughout. It was kind of warm in there...not sure if they had a working A/C or if it just couldn't keep up with the bodies inside. There was a wait to be seated but not too bad. Maybe 15 mins and the place was packed. We were seated at a bar-like table between the actual bar seating and tables. The waitress was nice and had personality but was a bit stressed out and a little testy after we asked about our food 30+ mins after ordering it. Even the drinks took a long time to be served. I finally gave up and ran to the restroom...of course the food came as soon as I left. It works that way a lot for me. lol The drinks were good - the food was pretty good. Prices are expensive here, but pretty much on par with the rest of the restaurants in town. It's a tourist town in high season and they all know it. We determined not to come back for the next day's meals based on the slow speed of service and try different places in town instead.
