The gas station itself was spotless, and Angel's Kitchen looked practically brand new. The menu had more variety than I expected too--cheesesteak subs, cold subs, burgers, fries, and Italian ice. I ordered the turkey sub and a small pineapple Italian ice. They were out of almost half of the Italian ice flavors, which was a little disappointing, but that pineapple flavor absolutely delivered. It was cold, refreshing, and exactly what I needed in that Texas heat. Now the ordering process was a little different. They currently handwrite your order on a Post-it note, then you take it to the gas station register to pay, get it stamped, and bring it back. They do have a POS system at the counter, so I'm guessing they're still getting everything fully up and running. Growing pains happen. As far as service goes, the staff was cool. The young cashier seemed like she was probably still learning the ropes and maybe in training, but she was pleasant.
