Food was made fresh and came out hot and fast. Staff was friendly and attentive. Only thing I would change would be to add prices to the menu pictures on the wall as they differ from the items on the screen. Other than that, I would highly recommend trying out this place. I was surprised there weren't more customers dining here.

Flavor was on point, chicken was seasoned right, and I immediately regretted not ordering more. The only disappointment was hearing they were out of the carne asada that day... which honestly just made me more curious because clearly somebody is eating it all before I get there. I'll definitely be back. Next time I'm coming prepared, ordering more than two, and getting that carne asada before y'all run out again. Highly recommend. And because I didn't go inside, I can't tell y'all if the service or the ambience is good. But who was hittin'

I went to Hawaii a couple years ago on vacation and waited in line at the infamous Matsumoto's…read moreShaved Ice to try their "legendary" shaved ice. I have to admit, I thought it was pretty darn good... that was until I payed a visit to the local shaved ice vendor in Porter: the Southern Belle's Snow Shack. I came for a traditional Piña Colada snowball, no frills. Then I found out that they're one of the few places that offer them "loaded" (which comes with ice cream in the middle and a condensed milk topping). I was kinda skeptical of the combination of the two in Hawaii so I never tried it with the topping, but the attractive stand operator in her southern style floral apron convinced me otherwise. It was the best d*mn snowball I've ever had... I honestly don't know how they do it. More fascinating, that they're located in the heart of small town Porter, TX. I'm convinced that once people catch on, this place is going to become one of those stands people drive miles out of their way to visit. I'll definitely be going back next time I get a sweet tooth.

I've had versions where the celery flavor is very prominent, but I thought this one had a lighter flavor since the celery had been chopped smaller. The rice had less of a bite than other étouffée I've had and was similar to regular rice, which I like. There was only (2) plump shrimps and several tiny but well-cooked crawfish in it, but I understand that's what is available right now. The shrimp and grits comes covered with a creamy sauce and slices of andouille sausage. I had a bite from my sister's shrimp and grits and thought they were pretty good but creamier than the other dishes. The grits were kept more basic as flavors of the sauce and meats were already heavy.

No confusion when ordering, which makes the experience smoother, especially if it's your first time there. The environment had a good vibe--Latin music playing, relaxed energy, nothing overdone. Now the part that needs tightening up: * The table we sat at had food stuck between the cracks * The floors didn't look like they were being swept consistently It's not a dealbreaker, but it does take away from the overall experience, especially when the food and drinks are clearly getting that much attention.
