I've been wanting to try this spot because I drive by it frequently. I decided to stop and try the torta because I was sharing. I chose pastor and half the sandwich was sufficient for me. The torta comes with two options of salsa and onions on the side. The service was great and it didn't take too long for my order to be ready. The food was good to me - not spectacular but good. Maybe my standards are higher because I travel to Mexico often. There are tables adjacent to the taco truck that you can sit and eat outside or there's an inside dining area if you choose. At this point El Norteño is staple of Spring, Texas cuisine. We don't got much but órale, we got Norteño! By far my go to here is the chorizo tacos, and the pastor are a close second . The bisteak tacos are slightly above average and so is the horchata. This might be me but I'm also a fan of the corn tortillas. Not sure whether they're homemade or store bought but they're definitely good quality. I'm kind of a fan of the little competition they have going on with the taco truck right across the street. The tacos alone were definitely worth the wait. The staff was kind and made sure we were okay while we waited for our food. We have visited this truck a few times and have consistently enjoyed their food each time. My favorite is the steak burrito. However, the tacos and the quesadillas are great ad well. No long line when I have gone, but continuous stream of customers. Customer service is fast, helpful, and friendly. I've been hearing about this place for months. I knew it was in my backyard but never had the chance to try it until one Friday night. They're parked in the Ignite Gas Station (Spring Cypress & Kuykendahl) which is honestly a small lot for them giving the crowd they attract. Pulled up around 9:30 pm on a Friday night and the lot was packed with people waiting in line for this food truck. Best friend and I shared the quesabirria and had two Birria tacos.... FIRE? Do you hear me!??? It's like I fell in love that love with food and was. Ot ready to end the relationship after finishing our meal The line moved pretty quickly for how long it was. They have a small outside eating area (where we sat) and then they have an inside area attached to the convenience store of the gas station. Definitely worth the wait. Don't come here for ambiance. Surrounded by piles of tires and a decrepit gas station next door, there is nothing about this little taco stand that says 'date night'. Nor will you find laminated menus or even a price list. Instead, there is one griddle, one cash register, and a trio of cheerful, hardworking folks who turn out plates of fresh tacos within minutes. We stopped by here because of sheer curiosity when we saw a long line of hungry customers lined up at this random stall. As we joined the queue, someone came down the line handing out generous samples of smokey baked beans, made with what looked like hunks of ham hock. As a vegetarian, I unfortunately couldn't partake in the meat taco offerings but they seemed largely unfazed by my request for a meat-free taco. This was topped with grilled onions, an onion-cilantro mixture, and a lime. When coupled with a few squeezes from the hot sauces available on the tables, this made for one of the loveliest bites I've had for a mere dollar. While chowing down, I also caught site of the containers of baked potato on the side of the grill. When I ordered it, this was placed on top of the grill for a few minutes until the heavy layer of cheddar and mozzarella cheese became gooey. This, along with a few more hits of sauce, made for a concoction that might possibly be one of the best drunk foods around. Parking is just wherever you can find an empty spot by the gas station, and there are no bathrooms available. Additionally, with prices being so cheap, I'm pretty sure this joint is cash-only. But with a few picnic tables and pop latino blaring from the speakers, it makes for an awesome cheap fill up stop. Really disappointed at this location. They used to be really good when they were off 1960. I decided to try them at their new location and man I sure did make a mistake. Got four mini tacos to go. I thought I smelt a funny smell when I was leaving but let it go. My god I got so sick last night. Luckily I had raw apple cider vinegar because I was in the verge of food poisoning. The apple cider vinegar neutralized whatever I had. I am very lucky because I was in pain and feeling sick. The meant isn't as good as their old spot on location. The tortillas were dry as hell! I will definitely not be back here. Not sure how long the food was out or the smell that I smelt but I got really sick!
