Excellent, as always. My cooler went down recently, in mid-July. I've been a customer for about 20 yrs so I knew they would fix the problem and they did, within 2 days of my call, and the price for service was reasonable. My window swap cooler unit motor died. Instead of looking for a new motor. They quoted me 1200 dollars for a new Unit. Hey Cooler guys. You can buy a new window unit at home depot fore 600 dollars. Beware! They will take advantage of you. read more

Cooler stopped blowing air at about 10AM. Called and spoke with the office who was able to dispatch someone same day. Larry texted to say he could arrive just a little early if that would work. He got right to work, quickly diagnosed the issue, replaced the faulty parts, and had it blowing cool air within an hour of his arrival. Larry was polite and kept me informed as he did his diagnosis and uncovered the issues. In addition to replacing the parts, he also made sure the float was properly adjusted. Late Friday night, my swamp cooler started making the familiar grinding sound of bearings that were past their use-by date. I left a message at 8 am on Saturday morning; by 8:20 I had a same-day appointment. The service man (Josh) even arrived a little bit early; within half an hour, the entire repair was done, and my cooler was running perfectly. The service guys are invariably really polite, really prompt (or call and ask to come early!), thorough, and very well-trained. I've used them for several years, and they have been utterly reliable, honest, and very reasonably priced. They've never tried to upsell me something I don't need, and the one "extra" they recommended (but did not push me to do) was a mid-season service. That isn't an "extra" after all, but a necessity, and it's the difference between hell and comfort, even during monsoon! read more

After searching several companies for evaporative cooler service I find "The Cooler Guys". They arrived early on the day scheduled, with a found call prior to make sure that was convenient for us. They did only the work that was needed. Even after my expecting and asking them to replace certain parts, they let me know those parts were good and did not need replacement. Very reasonable and very courteous. (Don't confuse with someone on Craigslist calling himself "the cooler guy", this guy is a joke and will most likely make your problem worse!) read more

Even with doing due diligence, one never really knows how good a company is until the company does the work. After their call, I can say with complete confidence: they are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and HONEST!!! I have been assisting an elderly woman in our church who has become quite "forgetful" find contractors to get repairs done on their home. The last project was to get their swap cooler ready for winter. After carefully reviewing "swap cooler" companies, I choose "The Cooler Guys" based on the fact they are locally owned and have satisfied customers posting reviews. The Cooler Guy's were due to arrive between 10 - 12, I rec. a call a little after 10, saying they would be there in 20 minutes. Both Josh and Clint were friendly and professional. Shortly after arriving, Clint comes down and tells me, my friend seemed to have "forgotten" she has already gotten her swamp winterized. Clint even went so far as to say, the person who did it, did everything correctly and there was nothing for them to do so there would be "no charge". We have been using this company for cooler maintainence for several years and they are affordable, punctual and reliable. Recently, on a Friday evening the blower went out on our cooler. I called early on Saturday morning, expecting to get a recording and endure a couple of uncomfortable 100 degree days, and was surprised to get a person on the phone who arranged for a technician to come out that day. He arrived an hour ahead of time, fixed the problem (a blown fuse) in about 10 minutes and only charged us less than $20 for the fix. They found the motor problem and the thermostat problem and were able to fix it on the spot with great professionality. This is a straightforward company that does a great job. I've had them out twice and both times they did an excellent job at a price that is absolutely fair. I only regret the time he had too much on his plate and I had to call a competitor, because they did not do a decent job. The Cooler Guys arrived earlier than scheduled and serviced my coolers promptly. My only issue is that i wish they had worn masks due to Covid-19 so i wouldn't have to be wondering if they are asymptomatic carriers or not. A lot of companies, whether they be plumbing, electrical or hvac are NOT taking precautions about Covid-19 and it puts clients at risk. Granted, there are not as many infections in Arizona as there are in New York but there are still quite a few and it costs NOTHING to cover up your face. Recommended to me by a friend. They were convenient and repaired of my swamp cooler and got it working in the dead heat of summer on very short notice. Not inexpensive, but very professional. Came home from vacation to a broken cooler. Called these guys and from Amanda who was my first contact, to the tech guy Aaron who came out to let me know what I needed, I could not have asked for a better experience. Update. Called in for a follow-up service bc the electrical on my swamp was still a bit wonky. Amanda is lovely and always a pleasure to talk to. There was a minor snafu with scheduling, but Clint arrived the next morning exactly on time and took care of the problem in less than 30 minutes. Because the issue was pre-existing and on record, the labor was free and I only paid for parts ($26). Interestingly, I was attempting to re-wire a lamp while Clint was replacing my flip switch to a dial. After he finished fixing the electrical for my swamp, he offered a few pointers on the lamp and now it works ! I'm very satisfied with the Cooler Guy's service. He is always prompt to return my calls and he is courteous and respectful to my home and time. I couldn't survive the summers or winters without his service to my swamp cooler or heater! I can't comment on his rates since the property manager takes care of that -- but I would guess that they are reasonable since they use him year after year. I feel really bad, what just happened came and went so quickly I couldn't even think about it fast enough. Our cooler was making this really loud whirring noise, and I call them to see if they could get it fixed. The guy came, went up to the roof, fixed it, told me what the problem was, all within 5 minutes. Since it was a small matter, he didn't even charge me. I felt really bad afterwards and probably should have at least tipped him, but he left soon after. Either way, the service was great and I will definitely call them again the next time our cooler has any problems. read more

This team has been absolutely fantastic! They show up when they say they are going to show up, they charge what they told you it will cost. They are kind, courteous, and do a great job. This morning the tech showed up right on time to put the coolers to bed (that their team installed for me two years ago). He started up both the furnaces as well. I asked him if he noticed if the filters needed replacing, intending to do so if he said they did. He said, "yes, I replaced them for you." My mother was having a LOT of trouble with her almost-new cooler. Previous so-called repairs by another service company did not work and she was treated very badly: intimidated and yelled at. I found the Cooler Guy for her online, and she called them. They came right over, were polite, efficient, and they FIXED it. A week later, the noise started up again - they came straight back out, fixed it for nothing, and will service her cooler for her at less than the handyman she was paying before. Called Cooler Guy this morning. Amanda was friendly and helpful. An appointment was scheduled for this afternoon. Clint called and asked if he could come early. He arrived soon after and went right to work. He repaired what needed to be done and checked everything over. He was done 1/2 hour before he was scheduled to arrive. He was knowledgeable and skilled and explained what was wrong. He was friendly and spoke well of his bosses and co-workers. The cost was much lower than I had feared. My MasterCool was making a very annoying tick-tick-tick sound that was driving me crazy, and my regular handyman/repair person was on the roof 5 or 6 times trying to fix it. I called on Wednesday, talked to Amanda (who was wonderful) and got an appointment the next afternoon, and it's fixed. Joe, who was my technician, listened to what I told him and what had been tried, and was able to invent a fix to keep the motor housing stable and eliminate the clicking sound.
