It is 1:00am. I notice the bedroom feels warm. I check the air conditioning. It is not working. I call Temco's emergency number. They take my information and say a technician will call shortly. About 15 minutes later a technician calls. I explain the problem. He says there is an extra charge for emergency service. I say it is ok.. He lives a long way out of town. I live next to the university. He arrived an hour later. Within a few minutes he diagnosed the problem The motor on the air conditioning unit died. The air conditioner is from 2006 (I think). He replaced the motor with a new motor. It was not easy, some parts had not moved since the day the air conditioner was installed. He was fantastic. He did not stop, he kept working through problems. One last word. He had the neatest, most orderly toolbox I had ever seen. When he needed a new tool, he knew exactly were to look. Thank you Temco. read more

Our AC went out on Friday afternoon - of course. I called TEMCO as a neighbor was very pleased with their service. My voicemail was answered within 10 minutes and we were able to schedule an appointment Monday morning. An emergency service call was not needed with a second unit maintaining comfort. Ashley called on Monday to let us know Peter would be coming out as planned. She was courtesy and genuinely cared about service. Peter called to let us know he was on the way, arrived promptly with a mask, diagnosed the problem, and provided a temporary solution. He returned the next day as promised to complete the repair. I can't say enough good things about Telco Air! Milo was my repairman and he was great! My 20 yr old electric furnace wasn't working. He was very thorough in checking everything. He found a capacitor working below par and replaced it. When that didn't work, he came back and was able to determine that the heat strips weren't working after all these years. He replaced them a few days later. He has made me feel like a valued customer by taking the time to explain everything and following up with texts to make sure that everything was working right. I could not ask for a better experience, start-to-finish. My air conditioning stopped working on a 105-degree day, and I expected to wait a seriously long time for an appointment - but much to my surprise, I was told there was someone in my area, who would call me as soon as he was done with another job. Sure enough, an hour later I got a call from Milo. What can I say about this guy? He is super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He wasted no time in diagnosing the problem and giving me an estimate. I have an old AC system, and was sure I would be looking at a costly full replacement - or worse -a technician that TOLD me I need a replacement, even if I don't. But once again, I was pleasantly surprised. Milo didn't try to sell me on a new system, but found a way to fix what I have. He even drew a picture of the inside of my AC to show me how it works and what the bad part does. He had to order the part, which would arrive the next day - but did a temporary fix so I had some AC overnight while we waited! I was thoroughly impressed. True to his word, Milo called the next day, came right over and installed the new part. Had the system fully up and running in no time. Temco HVAC was the only company that would help us because of the difficulty of taking the old air handler out and putting in the new one in. Although I had to work the day my AC died, my son was home and I called them on my way to work. I was told there was a diagnostic fee. They had someone out a couple hours later, and he called and said the fan motor wasn't working and they could get a new motor right then and put it in for less than I had braced myself for. He mentioned that my AC until is 20 years old, and I acknowledged that, but am not in a position to replace the unit today. No push to get a new unit. So he's gonna call and get the motor for the fan and we hang up. So I call him back to ask about the labor cost and he says it's included in the quoted price and so is the diagnostic fee. They put the new motor in last week on the west side of my house. I'll never complain about the heat again if I don't have to work out it it. Came home to a nice cool house. Gave them my credit card number on the phone and they emailed a receipt. I NEVER leave reviews, but I was so impressed with them I thought I owed them a little more than I paid them. Great service, reasonable prices. And I didn't have to go to a hotel for the night. read more
