After a terrible experience with another A/C company, their knowledgeable, gimmick-free approach was a breath of fresh air. No "spin the wheel" tactics--just a real conversation. I sent their General Manager, Jim, the estimate I'd received from the other guys and a separate second opinion along with my concerns. Instead of speculating, Jim sent James out to evaluate our system personally. James spent two hours inspecting everything and discovered the previous company had recommended a massive amount of unnecessary equipment and failed to mention that the actual issues were caused by their own poor installation. The best part? Cool Willy's didn't charge us a dime for the visit, calling it a "re-evaluation." The air flow from the registers read 80. I had a very positive experience with Todd from Rincon. When I showed him the figures, he speculated my AC was low on refrigerant. He gave me a price estimate assuming refrigerant had to be added to the AC unit. After checking pressure readings on my AC unit, he added two pounds of refrigerant to the AC unit and the air flow temperature started coming down. He then checked for possible leaks and found one which he was able to repair. During the time he was working, Todd answered my questions which helped me better understand what to expect regarding my AC unit. I am delighted to report that the inside temperature eventually dropped down to the thermostat setting and the air flow coming from the registers was 20 degrees cooler than the inside temperature. Todd indicated that is what I should expect. The next day everything is working as expected. The Inside temperature matches the thermostat setting and the air flow from the registers is 20 degrees cooler than the inside temperature. Todd was easy to communicate. He was able to repair the leak and didn't charge me for it, which I appreciated. I will be requesting him for any future servicing my AC might need.

I had had another proposal and knew the equipment I want (1 of 2 possibilities) and so requested quotes on both. Both quotes were significantly lower than those from the other vendor, so I accepted one. One of the reasons I sought a second proposal was that the first company had lots of reviews averaging in the 2.0-2.5 range - I don't remember exactly - primarily due to complaints about pricing and follow up service. I looked for companies with much better average reviews and found this one, which has excellent reviews virtually across the board. Installation was scheduled within a couple of weeks. The installation crew came beforehand as agreed to do some final measuring, and showed up on the agreed-upon installation date when expected. They completed the job within the time they had estimated it would take, made sure I understood how to work the thermostat, showed pictures of the installation, and cleaned up after themselves properly. I am delighted to be working with these folks and recommend them highly to anyone considering a comparable project.

He gave me several different options as for the SEER ratings and brands. He was very professional and patient answering all of my questions. They were able to install it on the day I preferred. Conrado, Diego and Juan showed up that morning and Juan took his time explaining the install to Conrado and Diego. I had requested that they didn't run the electrical lines on the outside of my house so they ran them up into the attic. My install was a bit abnormal in that the run for the refrigerant line was longer than the standard 15' so Juan came back the very next morning to finish installing more refrigerant into the system and get it fully up and running. Juan also spent a few hours adjusting the insulation above the room in the garage and took photos so I could see his good work. These guys didn't cut any corners. They were professional from start to finish. Their website is top-notch along with their vehicle wraps on their vans.
