Air Excellence has been my heating and cooling company for years now. My first experience was with my swamp cooler. There was a terrible vibration coming from it and the air output was pretty warm. The team was able to get a technician out first thing the next morning. Not only was the tech able to quickly identify both issues, but he actually took me around to the unit, showed me the problems and gave me information on how to prevent both in the future. Since then I have referred them to my father-in-law to hook up his new AC unit and for a full AC unit replacement for my nail salon. Nether will use any other company now. in 2023, their technician replaced our Ring thermostat with a Honeywell unit. He struggled to get it to work. Our system has been struggling to cool ever since...And it NEVER would shut off and our Trico electric bills were pushing $1000 per month. Cut to 2025...American Home Shield sent Smart Choice to check our HVAC system and they discovered that the electric heat strips in the ductwork have been on the ENTIRE time our system was on "Cool"! They disconnected the heat strips wiring and it immediately started cooling properly.. Our new Trico bill is on pace to come in under $500. My family used S & $ Refrigeration for years, and when they finally closed up shop, Air Excellence inherited their customers. After a routine check, this company gave an estimate to our property manager for replacing the entire AC system for around 10k. Problem is, the "old" unit was installed only 9 years ago, date is clearly marked on the condenser, is the whole system is still under warranty. Most importantly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Getting a second opinion is always worth it. read more

This is the contractor used by Rheem for repairs. On Thursday February 22, 2024 a plumber was called out to our resident to inspect and figure out the problem which he did. Plumber stated it is an easy fix no problem. Plumber Left my house and never called in the order for part so the water heater could get fixed. I called Rheem on February 26, 2024 the representative said there is absolutely no record of that transaction or call in. Rheem confirmed to me that the plumber just called in on February 26, 2024 to order part because we had called to see what was going on. So part got next day air, arrived at my residence plumber came to fix water heater then come to find out which I'm not blaming this part on excellence but water heater has burners burning downward instead of upward. So now we're having to order more parts for this water heater that isn't even a year old. I understand that this whole process is under the warranty but not ordering parts on time has put a big set back on my home life. I would not recommend this kind is service to anyone. Now my grandson a T1D has been without hot water for over a week now. Not a happy customer at all. I understand about being contracted out. My complaint is Don should have ordered that part that same day, there was more than enough time left in the day. Especially if this is an easy fix per Don. But the parts coming from somewhere else have nothing to do with what I'm complaining about. I now know not to buy Rheem products. Was scheduled for Thursday between 8/12. Then received a call the next day or so, that it would be between 12/5. Then at 2:20 (they close at 5) on Thursday was advised they need to reschedule. Tech is on a big job and there are people who's AC is out. I'm a maintenance so of course my AC bill will probably be lower. If they had told me when I called. We will reschedule you if we get other calls then I would have known. So I do not recommend this company if you're busy, work and have limited free time, or book events ahead. read more

I never write reviews, but our service has been so terrible that I think it's important for others to know about our experience before using Air Excellence. Our AC stopped working over a month ago, and Air Excellence came out to inspect it a couple days after our request. The technician was very nice and figured out the problem quickly. They went ahead and ordered a replacement part from the manufacturer so they could fix it, and let us know that the part would arrive in 5-7 days. One month after they first visited, they still haven't received the part, and we've been stuck living in a house that's been 95-98F every day. We both work from home, and it's been absolutely miserable here. Air Excellence keeps telling us that maybe the part will be on the next day's shipment, and that they'll get back to us to update us, but they rarely call back. We have no idea whether the part was ever shipped to them, or whether it got lost in the process, and they don't seem concerned that it should've arrived weeks ago. In the meantime, we're really struggling to make it through each day in our dangerously hot house. Paying $1200 for them to fix our AC would be less awful if they'd done it in a reasonable amount of time, and had been better about calling us back and tracking the part that they'd ordered. Instead, we're on week 5 of no AC, we have no idea when it might be fixed, and we'll still need to pay full price for their service once (if?) the replacement part ever arrives. I absolutely do NOT recommend this company to anyone who needs a replacement part for their AC unit. read more

Too bad I can't put negative stars! The AC has been out at my sister's house for over 3 weeks. We called the warranty company and they sent out Air Excellence to fix the AC unit. Air Excellence were supposed to be ordering the part which was supposed to take a few days... the guy that came out to check out the unit told my 65 year old mother when she commented that it took a while for them to come out," Most people just go to a hotel to stay". Yeah great suggestion jerk except we don't have extra $$$ laying around for that extra unexpected expense. In addition to this We have called numerous times to find out the status on this part that is holding up getting the unit repaired and there is no update, or tracking information on this part. When we call to inquire about the status of this part we speak to Jacqueline who is exceptionally rude. has been nearly 2 weeks since the part is still not in and the house has been unbearable to live in. The part was supposed to be in on Wednesday and was still not in on Friday. So here we are going into another weekend without an AC and the temperature this week has been over 105. The employees at Air Excellence are ha the most horrible people to try and work with and we have the misfortune of being forced to work with them because of the warranty. Update: Air Excellence installed the wrong part to fix the AC unit so 2 weeks later the entire thing shut down and had to be completely replaced! read more

I was instantly impressed with their customer service when I called to get service on short notice. The owner said he would find a way to get our AC back up without waiting days. This was in the middle of 115+ degree heat and every company I called said they were booked for 3-4 days out. Air Excellence offered to come that night! The technician (I know his name but don't want to call him out personally) went to my mother's house and did nothing but complain the entire time and then never completed the job because I asked that he be pulled off of the job because he had my 83 year old mother very upset. I had to hire an electrician to come out and check his work before I put a new motor in and complete the job. I sent a two page letter to the owner/service manager explaining all of the details and what my mother was so upset about. I said in the letter that I was happy to talk about it over the telephone. They NEVER called me to say, "I'm sorry for poor customer service", "We would like to make this right", NOTHING!! They've lost my mother as a customer and she is bummed because they DID do a great job on a furnace they had installed for her a few years prior to this debacle. "Customer Service" is common sense but as the saying goes, "Common sense is not so common anymore!" I see many great reviews for Air Excellence. Where were they for my 83 year old mother?! read more

Scott claimed to Be the owner every time I called. Today I found out he had been lying and its some other rude arrogant man named Mike and he had no knowledge about what he's talking about, there receptionist always making mistakes and conferencing other clients into the calls, "accidentally" hanging up after being rude and confronted on it. I am a General Contractor and I have used Air Excellence to to install many AC units on my jobs. Not only do they have great customer service but they are honest and fair on their prices. My neighbors AC went out on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of summer. I had them call Mike at Air Excellent and within 4 hours their AC was up and running. I use Air Excellent at my personal home for all my heating and cooling needs. If you want an honest and fair company that will stand behind their work then you NEED to call Air Excellence. The technician Ale* was inpatient the whole time when I asked him question and he stayed in the car to play his phone for at least half an hour. When I called back the company, the Lady told me that technician said I wouldn't pay him. Such a liar!!!!! I have known Mike Bourdreaux for about 5 years now. I first meet Mike when I was referred to him to install computer cabling, alarm system and cctv system in his business. I found Mike to be a straight shooter and a man of his word. I decided to give his company a shot at servicing both my residence and business heating and cooling. Both of my systems were approaching the 10 year mark and were not very energy efficient. 10 SER System's to be exact. I was having some Freon loss on my residence system on a Saturday morning at the beginning of summer. I contacted Mike and later that day one of his service technicians was able to get my system back up and running. Bad news was I need a new system. Mike had a team of two men at my house the following Saturday and installed a new 16 ser system in about 4 hours. That was two years ago and I haven't had a single problem since his efficient team was here. The pricing I received was in range of some of the other quotes I received from some of the big boys in town. Mikes attitude, and his techs attention to detail and wiliness to get it right the first time has me as a loyal customer. We have been without working AC for over a month, have been blown off multiple times, they forgot to order a part we needed special ordered, waiting almost two weeks to hear anything back, finally had the repair appointment and had the incorrect part ordered. I signed up for the semi-annual inspection and maintenance service and today had my 2nd of 2 inspections. First of all, I didn't have to call anyone to remind them of my program date; they called me to schedule. 45 minutes before my appointment time, the technician (Kevin) called me and said he would be here to take care of the inspection within the hour. Once on site, Kevin was very professional and did a great job of explaining they types of systems I had and some of the things to keep an eye out for that could lead to bigger issues. I contacted Air Excellence to do a pre-season tune-up on my AC and fix a rattling noise coming from the attic whenever the upstairs unit was running. I chose them because of a previous positive experience with them. The guy came, checked the units, and stopped the noise. Within a few days, the noise began again. The same guy came back and stopped the noise again. That evening, a DIFFERENT noise was coming from the attic whenever the upstairs unit was running. When the guy was supposed to come back to fix this noise, the company called and told me that not only were they not coming as scheduled, by the way, they would be charging me for a service call plus the cost of repairs, because they would have to take it apart. I told them that I would call someone else. When the technician from the other company arrived, he discovered that the source of the second noise was from a loose strap holding one of the pipes. Easy fix with one screw. At best, Air Excellence's technician failed to notice the loose strap when he was up there, at worst, he caused it. Now, less than a month after Air Excellence's technician "fixed" the original noise, it has started again. read more
