They come out twice a year to make sure our system is running efficiently and catch any potential issues before they become bigger problems. The program also includes great benefits, like priority service if you ever need a repair. Every technician we've worked with has been professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. A special shoutout to Adam, who came out today! It was 106°F, and he spent time on our roof thoroughly inspecting the unit. We felt terrible that he had to work in that kind of heat, but he was incredibly hardworking, and had such a positive attitude throughout the visit. Unfortunately this business is a scam. They came out to try and see what was the issue with my brand new system, and they stated it would cost around $4,000 to fix. I had to get a second opinion and the actual cost was $250 to fix the system. It is sad that companies like this exist, as now they want me to pay for a technician who was 4 hours late. read more

They did work in the hotel room across from my room about a 20ft distance. He opened the left the door and proceeded to blasting music with the door wide open as I was sitting outside my room. Everytime I raised my volume on my radio he raised his until he finally placed his radio outside the door at the same volume. He also parked the work van completely blocking the sidewalk curb to curb for a few hours.I called the company the company to complain and about 2 minutes later he violently slammed the door. By the reaction of the door slam. im sure its because the office called him. I wish I could post the pic on how he was parked. Whe have senior disabled people with walkers living and would not have been able to pass. The worker showed no consideration for the residents. The office was polite when I called. I hope the lack of respect and consideration for the tenents doesnt reflect on the quality of service. But after experiencing that employee I dont think I could use their services. These folks are very good! Honest as the day is long. In July 2024 Jim said the 2.5 ton AC rental was working fine but i asked them to put on a new 3 ton unit anyway because the tenant was complaining. Jim did that but said that what was really needed in the first place was insulation... So in 2025 i hope to have that insulation done. These religious people embody the teachings of Christianity. I have done business with this company and was very satisfied, Today however they really let me down. At 7:30 AM I called because I had no heat. Dispatch person said the technician would come right away. Two hours later I called dispatch again to see where they were. Teck called me to tell me he would be in church until 1:00. I can appreciate that but this is a business. Inappropriate. I had tickets to a concert at 2:00 which I will not be able to attend. This is very unprofessional. My A/C went out on a Saturday afternoon, of course. Looked at Yelp reviews for the highest rated businesses in town. The first place I called was still open for business but I had to leave a message. I waited 30 minutes with no reply so I called American Conditioned Air next. Got an immediate response and was transferred to the tech, Jim. I explained what the A/C was doing and he said he'd be there in 2 hrs. I live well outside of town. He showed up on time, diagnosis was quick, repair was quick. He knows his stuff. A/C back up and running well. By the way, the first place I called, well, they finally returned my call 19 hours later and seemed surprised that I wasn't willing to wait indefinitely in a hot house. read more

So far I have used American Conditioned Air 2 times and both those times they saved me from certain disaster. The first time was in 2015 when I called for an AC inspection. They guy who came was really nice and immediately found an issue with a clogged drain pipe. I was acutely aware of this issue prior to calling for the appointment and never mentioned it. It was awesome when he finished and just mentioned it, no extra charge, already fixed it. The second time was this year (2017), where again they found an issue before it manifested into a whole undertaking. If I had to guess how much money they saved me from these inspections, I would put it in the thousands. Also, the tech was really personable and gave me all the information I needed and also answered a whole list of questions I had. I see very few business like this one in Tucson these days. During the summer months my ac broke over the weekend. I called Monday morning and by Monday afternoon my ac was back to functioning property. The most important thing about this company is you can trust them. They don't jack up the prices for service or items you don't need. I've dealt with Jim for my 2 properties and he's been reliable, professional, honest. The pricing for service is reasonable and done in a timely matter on the agreed upon time. My girlfriend manages an apartment complex and has used this company since 04 with no problems. We had an AC give out at the beginning of summer. We called American Conditioned Air and they got someone out to our house that day. Up till that point we were happy with the service. We were told that the evaporative coils leaked so they said they would need to refill refrigerant and replace the coils. No leak check was done unless we wanted to pay for one. We asked for price and was quoted $60 for first pound and $30 for each additional pound. I confirmed approximate price was going to be about $185. Here is where it gets fishy. I was told that he did not have he paperwork so needed to step away for 30 min to get paperwork. He drives off and comes back and tells us we needed to sign the paperwork so he can proceed with work. There were not any prices on this sheet at the time just work needed. He went up to the roof, refilled the refrigerant and said we were all done. At which point I asked for a receipt or a bill so I could pay. He said he couldn't give me one and the office would bill me once I replaced the coils (which I asked him to hold off on until we were sure this is what Lennox wanted us to do as it was still under warranty). He said that the office would take care of billing. Not having a receipt was a little unsettling but what can you do? A few days later I get a bill for $330.65 with a "discount." There was white out on the paperwork of the carbon copy and they filled in the price?? Picture coming. I call them back and ask to discuss billing. They said prices for refrigerant fluctuates daily based on how busy things were and they would need to talk to their field representative. No call back so I call back 7 times more and each time they say it is a busy time of year (fair enough but this was over the course of several weeks - called on June 8th initially and did not get a answer till June 26th). On one of these calls they said they came out to replace my filters and do maintenance and I had to explain to them that they must have mixed up the paperwork. I am calling about replacing refrigerant. So finally, they tell me that first pound was $149 and $33 for each additional pound and that is final as they have a chart that tells them what to charge. Then they say they let go of the technician because he was making a lot of mistakes and this is the correct pricing. (?) I do appreciate that they came out and provided a service. However, honesty and fair representation is important. I have worked with good plumbers, electricians, roofers and other contractors over the years and this is not comparable. I do not mind paying a little more for good quality service. Lowest price point is not what I looking for. If they had told me the first day a higher price I would have asked why (considering R-410A is $100 for 25lbs typically) and paid for the service if they had a reasonable explanation. We had air conditioning issues for most of the summer and encountered quite a few companies who either temporarily fixed our problem or gave us outrageous quotes. Jim came out to do an assessment and was honest about the state of our unit (17 years old) and what we could replace to temporarily get by. He explained the pros and cons of repair v. replacement. He was the first who took the time to explain what each decision meant without being pushy and would be willing to proceed with whatever we chose. We ultimately decided it was in our best interest to replace it and after a few bids with other companies, it confirmed our decision to use American Conditioned Air. On the day of installation Jim and his team were efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. We also had a great experience with the office staff. My AC unit went out and I was unsure who to call. I called SEVERAL AC companies and was surprised to find out that just because I live in Oro Valley, I was going to be charged extra ( 3 hour minimum fee plus a diagnostic fee!!!). Most of the companies were not available for a couple of days and some would not come out because it happened to be raining in certain areas of town. I then called AMERICAN CONDITIONED AIR and the pleasant receptionist told me about the low diagnostic fee they have and informed me that a service technician ( JIM ) was in my area. The service technician arrived within minutes carrying his tools and a rain jacket! Jim fixed the AC unit and checked the entire heating and cooling system in the house. He DID NOT try to sell me unnecessary parts, even though my AC unit is 10 years old. The total fee was a HONEST, REASONABLE PRICE and Jim was very knowledgeable and professional. My A/C went out on a Sunday evening. I called the company who installed my A/C and paid for an overtime diagnostic. After the representative finished his diagnostic, I felt he had rushed through it, and the quote he gave me was, I felt, too much. So, I turned to Yelp. The first thing that caught my eye was a five star rating, and a bright yellow picture for the company. The second thing that I saw was the glowing reviews for Jim and the employees of American Conditioned Air. So, I decided to give them a ring first thing in the morning. They responded that day to my house. Jim went through a thorough inspection and gave me several things of what may be wrong, and how to fix them. While the majority of what Jim and the other company found to be broke matched up, what didn't match up was that the first guy wanted to replace a part unnecessarily because it was under warranty, and "easier". Jim knew it would be more work on his part, but did not want to replace something that wasn't broke just to save himself some work. This showed me the integrity American Conditioned Air required of their employees and set my mind at ease more than a little. A bonus was that the price I paid was several hundred dollars less than what the other company quoted me. An unrelated problem occured with my electrical inside my house a day after the A/C was done. I called Jim again to ask about any effects this may have on my A/C. I did NOT want a hot house again! He not only answered my questions, but actually showed up the next day to ensure all was well with my A/C. I have nothing but great things to say about American Conditioned Air and their tech Jim M. I was beyond stressed when I contacted ACA on a Saturday evening. I had already been dealing with an "electrician" who attempted to repair my thermostat unsuccessfully. I ended up wasting hours and suffering in the heat. I contacted multiple companies after hours messaging services but ACA was the only company that directly connected me to the tech immediately. Jim showed up just 45 min later and knew exactly what to do to fix my problem. On top of fixing my thermostat issue, he repaired some bad wiring on my AC unit. Although I had a very stressful, exhausting, heat filled day, I'm typing this review in the comfort of my AC-filled home. Other companies couldn't offer help until tomorrow, some never called me back. I am so grateful for the quick, competent care of ACA and especially Jim!
