I must say this has been the best customer service I have received in a long time! Long story short I have been working out with my coworker every morning for an hour for over a month and I have been CRAAAAAVING cookies! So I decided on a cheat day (and I don't ANYTHING half assed so if I'm gonna snag some cookies I'm going all out!) My coworker then told me about 'The Cookie Shoppe'. I was like "NO F***** WAY! There's a designated cookie store in Chico?!" So we immediately googled it and saw all the different specialties they offered (this was at 8am). We called to get prices and Mike answered. He could obviously tell our excitement and was totally excited to be telling us about everything that was available and answering all of our inquiries. I asked if they had a specific cookie under the "not so daily" list and even though they hadn't made it (or planned on making it) he was willing to make a batch! That is crazy awesome!! I was so excited with anticipation to pick up my order and when I got there he even told me that as a treat he threw in a couple extra cookies that we had inquired about, but didn't order! How friggin amazing is that?! All in all I can totally say the cookies were not only crazytastic fantabulously amazeballs!!! But the customer service is second to none!!! My boyfriend and I were eating dinner at Celestino's and we had a sudden craving for something sweet. I pulled out my trusty iPhone and searched for dessert places nearby. The Cookie Shoppe came up on the search results, was nearby, and had great reviews from previous customers. We decided to check it out and must agree with everyone; this place is wonderful! I tried the chocolate chip cookie and my boyfriend tried the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. It was $2.65 (I think) for two big cookies. OH MY GOD. Some girl dropped some sample cookies off to my work today and I took the bag home .. It had 5 big cookies and I almost ate them all in 10 minutes. Oh my god they're amazing! Cookie Shoppe always has fresh cookies that stay soft and chewy for a couple days! This is our go to place when our company has events or delivering snacks to our customers. Whether you want a basic chocolate chip or something more unusual like a white chocolate cranberry almond, they've got what you are craving! Cookies are amazing but over the holidays I ordered about 10 dozen for gifts and was disappointed. Several were marked incorrectly and whoever marked them did it on the top of the box. These were gifts. Wouldn't it make more sense to mark them on the bottom of the box where you couldn't see it? I'm glad I caught the fact that they were marked incorrectly before giving them out to people that are pregnant, allergic or whatever. Once I saw that one box was marked incorrectly I opened all of the boxes and found several that were wrong. Here's an update to my review..y original review was months ago and not one email or anything from the cookie shop tells me exactly how I don't mean a fucking thing to these people as a customer. Way to go cookie shop! Glad to know you don't value your customers. I'll be flushing my business down the toilet before I ever give you a dime of it. read more

First time I went to this place and the people in there was really nice! the guy that makes the cookies was really friendly! We got the snicker doodle, and the pumpkin chocolate chip. The snicker doodle was very good. Soft in the middle and more crisp around the edges. The pumpkin chicochip was very soft, just like the guy said it has a muffin like texture. Wich was really nice if you like soft cookies. He also gave us a free chocolate chip for being a first time customer thanks! :) read more

Some of the best cookies I've ever had! They cost about $1.60 each but are rather large. Glad I don't live close or I'd weigh 600 pounds! When potlucks at work are scheduled this is my go to place. Haven't heard any complaints yet! read more

This place is ok, their specialty flavor cookies are good but the run of the mill flavors like c. chip and peanut butter taste just like the ones out of a cook book. I'll eat one if someone buys it for me but I won't by myself any, because I would rather make my own cookies. read more

I went to the Shoppe on Valentine's day morning to buy a dozen assorted cookies as one of my gifts to my wife. She loved them! They still tasted fresh days later. She especially liked the Molasses (I agree). My favorite was the Oatmeal Rasin. I don't usually like Snickerdoodles but these were great. I'm looking for my childhood favorite, a Sugar cookie heavily covered with colored sprinkles. I loved the extra little crunch and to a kid they were visually exciting. If you stop at The Cookie Shoppe, be prepared for old fashioned cookies - nothing too crazy or out there, just traditional, old fashioned cookies (oatmeal with butterscotch, monster cookies (they call them Judys), chocolate chip with coconut, etc.) Despite their old fashioned flavors, or perhaps because of it, these cookies are amazingly delicious, chewy, soft and oh so good. read more

Some of the best cookies I have ever had! Every time they have been chewy, moist & delicious. They have quite a bit of cookie varieties to choose from. Anything from good old chocolate chip & snickerdoodles, to a coconut spice cookie. Every kind I have tried has been yummy. I love going here & taking my boys for a special treat. This review is long overdue. Back in June I was getting married, and my wedding favors were supposed to be s'mores cookies from a bakery where I live in Sacramento. The packages for the cookies were already ordered and s'mores themed. I called that bakery about a week before my wedding to double check that everything was good to go, and found out that they had been permanently shut down. (Thankfully I hadn't paid for my order yet). I was frantic, and myself and my bridesmaids called every bakery we could find to see if anybody had s'mores cookies. Nobody did. However, one of my bridesmaids contacted The Cookie Shoppe. They had heard of the bakery I was originally going to use, and felt confident that they could recreate the s'mores cookies for me. AMAZING!!! They took my order for 300 cookies- and a recipe that wasn't even on their menu- with less than a week before my wedding. They absolutely saved the day! Incredible customer service, and even better cookies! I'm so impressed with this place and will forever recommend them. I would give 10 stars if I could. read more

I swear, the oatmeal with caramel chips is like heaven in your mouth. So moist and chewy! I have noticed that to have access to the full selection you should go early in the day, otherwise the most popular ones could be sold out. The staff is friendly, they do custom cookie cakes, and they take all forms of payment. Pretty awesome. Too bad they aren't open Saturday, but I respect that they want to have family time. read more

Tucked away next to Jenny Craig in one of the Mangrove shopping centers, The Cookie Shoppe specializes in big ol' American-style cookies, and they do them very well. If you need a cookie fix, and a ranger, peanut butter or chocolate chip type cookie will cure your ills, check them out. They carry about two dozens kinds of cookies on hand any given day, and varieties change day-to-day. I am a well-known cookie monster, and gift-givers know that a box of their cookies or a gift certificate will always make me happy. I have tried most of their varieties over the years, and I cannot ever remember being disappointed. They are only open during the day, so stock up for late night snacks. Unfortunately, I almost never make it home with cookies, they seem to disappear long before I arrive at my destination. read more

I do not understand all the great reviews. First of all the guy behind they counter was really nice, and the cookies were priced reasonably. Honestly I just don't understand a cookie shop that does not have amazing cookies. This is all you sell. They were just really unimpressive. That being said I did go there toward the end of the day and selection was limited. But we did try 3 different cookies and I could have just walked away, wasn't worth the calories to me, and I absolutely love cookies. I really prefer soft cookies so that may have been part of it but the other 2 people I was with did not love them either. read more

A wonderful shoppe for a special treat. All the cookies are soft, moist and chewy. The prices are very reasonable as well. Owner and his crew are always courteous, upbeat and helpful. I only wish they were open on weekends but no big deal. read more

I have had cookies from here many times and they are good cookies, my complaint however is about the service, I tried to order cookies for a party and the owner was not willing to even fill my order, no "I'm sorry I can't" or anything, simply a "I don't bake on Sunday" so unfortunately I will be getting cookies elsewhere from now on, my office will as well. DELICIOUS cookies! My favorite so far is the vanilla sugar cookie (aka "Diane", i think?). YUM! Prices are fair and service has been good in my experience. My husband's fav is the chocolate crackle. You could probably get pretty much any cookie from there and you won't be disappointed! The reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their hours... I think they close at 5:30 and they're not open on weekends! :-( read more
