Chocolate dipped peanut butter seems to be a customer fave. It is for mah hubz!
Jill F.

@fortunefoodfinds: "You BAKE me happy! A chocolate chip, pb, chocolate dipped pb, n' their limited edition Supa' Bambucha Cookies (Mauna Loa mac nuts, toasted coconut, chocolate chips, n' topped with a Mauna Loa mac nut candy) from THE COOKIE CORNER. Whichever flavor you choose, you've got nothing to lose!" Staff: fully staffed Interior: stand including side area with packaged goodies available for purchase Exterior: on 1st floor outside of the Makai Market Food Court Wait time: 5 mins Parking: garage Overall comments: you can smell them literally a corner away. I L.O.V.E. coming here for their chocolate chip cookies! Slight crunch on the exterior, soft in the middle, tasty chocolate chips, n' simply yuMmmy. My keikis go for the pb while da hubz has to have his chocolate dipped pb. Something for whole Ohana! On this particular visit I had an unusual encounter, the person who helped us seemed like they didn't want me to watch them bag my order n' I felt like they were staring me down. Also, it didn't help that a fly got into the window case. Bc of these reasons it made me even more want to make sure my cookies were properly bagged. Hoping this doesn't happen on my next visit!

The sweet smell of cookies... Is found right here in Ala Moana Center Street level right beside the Centerstage and all you need to do is follow the scent of freshly baked cookies. The Cookie Corner has been at this location as far as I can remember keeping it as is while nothing much has changed other than the love that has grown for its cookies Nadine had made a stop which I can understand why as we were wondering if they had some Almond Cookies to celebrate the current Lunar New Year and they did! I spotted a bag on the top of their display case and oo I knew it was perfect to share though as I paid noticed that they did have it in their famous larger sized in their display case which is the perfect snack to graze as you browse around the mall. These fun treats does make it special without a total commitment and the the staff there are just amazing making sure to greet us all as there's always a crowd yet are take care of is amazing. I was thrilled as it was so difficult to find Chinese Almond Cookies during these time of the event and that it was a limited item special which took care of my craving that I never knew was there lol! Thank you!

Dessert in Honolulu, Hawaii... Walking on the ground level of Ala Moana Center, near Center Stage, a wonderful fragrance captured my attention... it was The Cookie Corner I wanted to see if they still had the Limited Edition of the Chinese Almond Cookie - because Lunar New Year was yesterday (1.29.25). They did!!! Irene noticed that there were bags of Chinese Almond cookies on the top of the display case, as well as single, larger cookies in the display case. She reasoned that by buying just one cookie, it satisfies cravings and it's less of a "commitment" from a bag of cookies! She's so logical! Sold! There were two gals at the cash registers to take care of all of the customers! Wow... this open-air, takeout shop is busy! I enjoyed my Chinese Almond Cookie, but - of course, it's not as good as mom's Almond Cookies - because mom's is oily and crispy from the shortening. Well, my curiosity is cured! Thanks, Irene, for being so common sense! Notes: there are many other cookie options, as well as The Cookie of the Day special at $1.99 plus tax. - The prepackaged containers and boxes are great gifts! - The cookie bites (small cookies) are crunchy!

Whenever in the main mall area I smell the baked treats before even seeing them. I automatically walk in the direction of the cookies to check out the offerings even though I already know what's in the case. My favorites are the s'mores and basic chocolate chip. I always end up buying both because it's double the treat. Staff are friendly and line moved quickly. The staff are nice and attentive which moves the line quickly. Definitely an any occasion type of treat and something to enjoy often.

I love the Cookie Corner. Their different locations are all good at keeping to the recipe. I really appreciate the consistency. Some cookies are by weight while others are by cookie. My husband likes the SMOREs one, but I really enjoy their chocolate chip varieties or snickerdoodle ones. I feel that the cookies that are prepackaged are really bad compared to their freshly baked ones. The workers are usually very quick to serve but not overly friendly. This is fine since all I want is a cookie. Sometimes a fly gets into the case, which is gross, but most of the time it is okay.

Chocolate chip walnut. I see no chocolate?!

The chocolate chip walnut was wack. The chocolate brownie meh. Cookies could use some improvement. Didn't taste walnut either.

Best cookies ever. Very nicely made fresh. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Love all the clean counters and the showcase of their cookies,

I loooooove these cookies! Located by the center stage area of Ala Moana Center. My husband and I kept coming back to get more cookies from here because they were so good! I'm a very basic chocolate chip cookie (sometimes with nuts) kind of person, so I started with Oatmeal Chocolate Chip w/ Walnuts and omg I was in heaven, especially eating them while they were still warm! My husband loved the S'mores one and he ordered it multiple times as well. The service was good and the employees knew how to keep the line moving smoothly. Lots of gift sets on the left side too. I loved the cookies so much, I bought some to eat on the plane ride back home too!

Brownie Cookie. Not bad, melty chocolate morsels at room temperature o:

These fried, sugar-coated dough balls, often filled with custard or haupia, are beloved for their fluffy texture and association with tradition, especially "Malasada Day" (Fat Tuesday). And Leonard's Bakery malasadas are popular in Hawaii because they are served fresh, hot, and fluffy, establishing the Portuguese doughnut as a staple island treat since 1952. Founder Leonard Rego pioneered commercializing them, creating a cult following for the crisp-on-the-outside, doughy-on-the-inside treats. There's nothing like a nice, hot, and fresh malasada. At $2.20 each, there's just no point resisting. Twinsie "Auntie" Nadine C. dragged me here, told me where to take the Instagram shot, and the correct stance to tear into these pillowy fried dough balls. Yum.

I wasn't a fan of black sesame but I would rave over this pastry!! We did have their Pineapple Almond Croissant, which was decent but if you had to prioritize, doubtlessly go for kouign amann. The Chocolate Chip cookie was okay to skip IMHO. We came back again another day for their pistachio and chocolate ones and they were just as mindblowing! If you loved milk coffee, I would recommend their latte as the cold brew could be tad acidic even with added milk. I got their Cold Brew with soy milk first time then Vanilla Latte the second time, and certainly loved the latter better. However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9).
