There is plenty of choice of both fish, meat and veggie dishes so there should be something to please most palettes. There is also an extensive wine list. My wife has a particular liking for their pint of shell-on prawns served with garlic mayo and thick, crusty brown bread - as a starter. The prices are not too expensive, but the food is very good and I think it represents good value. A word of warning - the one downside of the Bistro is that you have to book well in advance. This is even more true in summer when the yachties tend to be in town. Overall very nice place, good food - can be very romantic (if you are that way inclined) especially if you can get a sunset booking in summer.

The pub is beautiful and cosy, the landlady was kind and cheerful and the food.....oh god, the food! We both had a starter of pigeon, not something you usually see on a pub menu and it was superbly cooked and tasted amazing. For my main I chose the steak burger with chips and onion rings, the burger was big, flavoursome and juicy and the touch I like is that the tomato ketchup on table was all homemade, not from a bottle! The prices are not cheap, but that is reflected in the quality of the food, so I don't think the food is overpriced. Service is friendly and good, and there are stunning views out to the Orwell Bridge.
