The Flamingo is laid back and very friendly without being intrusive. The food was out of this world, the steak was done to perfection in the manner requested, and the rack of lamb was heavenly. The vegetables were all hand cut and cooked also to perfection, portions very generous, the added bonus you could actually taste and know what you was eating with each flavour complementing the next,. We are discerning 'foodies' and have already booked again for our next joint day off next month we were that impressed. Highly recommended. P.S. The music was great as well, this is a pub also and it was 70's disco night.

I was 1/3 the way into my panini lunch having eaten my salad first and the panini was soggy on the bottom with slightly undercooked bacon. I stopped eating. I won't go into my husband's meal too much but to say he was also 1/3 of the way into his meal when he tasted the baked beans and they tasted off and stewed in as if scraped from the bottom of the pot. That put him off the remainder of his meal. My husband called the Service Manager over to complain. She said she would do a discount on our meals. When it came to negotiating a discount the woman became rude & argumentive. I would not have bothered to write a review at all if the café owner had not then thrown my prescription glasses in the bin.
