The Container store always seems to have what I need. I am commuting from Oregon to California, working 7 on/7 off. I prep and take all my meals. I found the ideal containers at the container store, but there were only 4 and I needed 7. I asked one staff member passing by if there were more in store, perhaps not yet shelved? She checked the inventory on a cell phone device and didn't find any additional inventory, but no less than three other people came by to check and see if I had found other options or wanted the my preferred container ordered to the store for me or delivered to my home. Really great service and caring employees. I love coming here and always go home with more than I walked in to buy! read more

They have a wide variety of containers, from small things like spice jars or makeup containers to full shelving sets. The selection is very good, and a lot of the items are very flexible and usable in multiple ways. However, they're not the least expensive option out there, to put it mildly. Most of the products seem to be good quality, but some are a little cheaper - materials, not price. Consider that when deciding what to purchase. But when I really need a new spice rack, a shelf that sits somewhere, a storage solution for an odd shelf...they're a good bet. read more

It's a must-visit whenever I'm here at Bridgeport Village, my 2nd time lol. Like the location because it's at the end of a "T", and each side has parking so a bit less traffic. Your usual suspects of well-thought, high quality containers and knick knacks; this time I bought these holding hooks to place behind driver/passenger head rest so you can now hang your bags of groceries, p/murse, hat, etc. 2 hooks for $7, good bang! It's quite a large store, and later, went to the Bellevue one, which I think is even more gigantic. Well-lit, great customer service. read more

It is always so much fun to go to the container store. They have so many organizational ideas that you didn't even know you needed, that you always walk away with something. It is very clean and the salespeople are very helpful, even during the busy holiday season. worst customer service experience! placed an order over a week ago, status still shows as being processed even though they have taken my money when their website specifically states it will not charge method of payment until order ships. tried to call, was on hold over 30 minutes on a weekday morning when you know damn well is not busy. refund my money or i am reporting this as fraud with my bank to get my money back since your incompetent customer service does not have the mental capacity to get a simple transaction completed effectively. read more

I like their products but customer service has much to be desired. They do very odd accounting and the phone staff are barely just above absolutely rude! They made a mess with my order and then claim they can not correct it, putting the burden of (and attitude) the correction on the customer. I had to correct my order because the "POP" discount was not reflected so we removed two items from the order. One was sold as a set but each of the four pieces were priced out separately. When the gal cancelled the items she did not cancel the other three components of set! Just plain stupid since you cannot order this way. And after all how dare me expect to have the POP discount applied correctly... You know customer service just sucks for many companies these days... they will be the last place I go, not the first, not worth their attitude for their mistake. read more

Visiting this store makes me feel a bit like a failure in my home. A visit here is chock-full of all kinds of why didn't I think of that moments? I wander the aisles gathering inspiration for the closet, pantry, kitchen, garage from all their displays. They make the displays look realistic, so it's not a giant leap of faith to picture these scenarios in your own home with a tweak here and there for personal taste. Weeks and months of projects loom ahead. The friendly helpful staff roots me on and steers me toward the right products. The products are of excellent quality, you will not find much cheap plastic crap here. Oh no. Only the sturdiest and best of drawers, hangers, bins, shelving. It's all super and I enjoy my trip to adult project Disneyland until I start looking at price tags and adding up the cost... Eek. One project at a time lady. Or as Jen K, said, get some ideas and price compare elsewhere. It's still worth the visit and there are some great goods to score here. If you're into organization, this place is your dream. I had fun looking around but honestly some of their things weren't all that cute and pretty and many things I could find at a typical store like Target or Fred Meyer even. The most annoying thing was that it took forever to find an employee for assistance. I was looking for a specific item and couldn't find it after wondering about the store. I passed several employees, though they were mostly chatting with each other and never offered help. I just feel awkward interrupting conversation so I kept wandering about. I finally stood in the check out line to ask about the item only to be told to "look over there." For a special niche store like this, I would have expected much better service. read more

Faced with piles of papers and the necessity to organize for taxes, I wandered into the Container Store and, as I strolled up and down the aisles, saw dozens of tools to organize everything from paperwork and photos to closets to refrigerators. There are gadgets and gizmos to stack, store, file and categorize the items on my desk and workbench. The genius of some of these sensible items is their simplicity, and I frequently found myself thinking, "Why didn't I think of that?" The well-located Container Store is brightly lit and the staff is cheerful and helpful, the customer service was excellent. This is normally an annual or semiannual visit for me, since I need a reason to reorganize and the accumulation of tax-time paperwork usually prompts me, or a closet full of winter clothes will need to be sorted for what's worn or no longer fits. Whenever I stop in, I don't walk out empty-handed. There's always some small (or larger) item that performs a common task with whimsy or humor, an item that makes sense to me. okay first off lets address the elephant in the room.... yes some things are grossly overpriced.... so just watch yourself and pay attention.... with that being said...... there are somethings that are reasonably priced.... I like to go in and see what they have, then go home and figure out what I need then go back and actually shop. so my sister, best friend and I stopped in here one night in the middle of the week after a family dinner..... we were possibly the 3 out of the 5 people in the store not including the employees. We were wandering around and I got separated from my small group....being in weird mood I just started an impromptu game of Marco Polo.... which the employees found amusing......they were still trying to decide if we were nuts or just slightly nuts.... I find that when I walk thru the store I do get lots of ideas of what I want to do in my house. It is good for that........ and practically have everything you could possibly need. Just had a horrible experience at the container store. Ordered my order online to be picked up at 1 PM. Now, I clearly understand that my husband arrived an hour and a half early for pick up. We needed 12 of one item not a whole laundry list of items. We live an hour and a half away with traffic in Ridgefield Washington. So I would think, once he explained this, that the employee and the manager who I spoke with would be willing to go Pull the items for us which would've taken about five minutes and we would've been on our way. Instead they said no and sent my husband off. I called to speak with the manager and spent more time with him just to hear no again. So the time we spent trying to explain that we live an hour and a half away and it would be silly for us to drive all the way home and then drive all the way back just to be at the 1 PM pick up time for our items would be ridiculous. If I could explain to my husband what I had ordered online he would've gone and found it but if it was the wrong item it would've created another three hour round-trip. The employees simply could've made a choice that took five minutes out of their time to help us. They chose not to. I've spent thousands of dollars at the store over the years buying personal and business items but I will never return. Customer service is everything to me. read more

Great store, awesome products! The part that sucks about this place is at checkout. The clerks mention a certain percentage off, rather then giving the discount you've got to give them your membership number to get it. My wife's got the membership, how the hell would I know what it is? Rather then busting a dudes balls give the damn discount or keep the discount out if the conversation!
