A family favorite! Went with a large group and everyone seemed to love it. Because its a show but not dinner, its a more affordable option and the show did not disappoint. It was more of a family-friendly variety show than a straight-up comedy routine. We were able to see juggling, a ping pong ball man (just have to see it), comedy routines, and even some awesome real cats doing cool tricks. They also performed a few songs, let all kids go on stage to dance, and picked a few kids and men to be a part of the show. I was afraid it might be super cheesy but it honestly wasnt. I'm a sucker for rescued dogs and the fact that they rescued dogs and trained them to add to the shows, makes it a fiver in my book. I've been three times. The first time, I was forced... I mean selected to go on stage and be the laughing stock of the place. I even bought the recording, to remember it forever. It's on VHS... that's how long ago my first time was. The second time was exactly like the first, with the same acts, jokes, etc, but because some of it was audience participation, I laughed just as hard as I did the first time. The third time, I wasn't actually planning on going, but because I bought a full price ticket to another show, they offered to add the Christmas version of the Comedy Barn for just $15. I couldn't pass it up. The only bad observations are, the lack of bathrooms... maybe I didn't see another one, but the one that I did go in didn't have nearly enough stalls to cater to such a large crowd. The other issue, is the parking. It's so crammed and scarce, that if you are lucky to snatch a spot surrounding the barn, that people never let you pull out of the spot. Manners people! Anyways, of course it's probably one of the most famous shows in Pigeon Forge, and as this was our first time, we were blown away. They had me laughing so hard, I couldn't believe it. Loved it! My kids loved everything about it and I enjoyed some of the adult humor! Pretty sure the favorite for my kids were the dog tricks and the juggler. Nice evening for some laughs! We did purchase the dvd from the nights comedy show, brought it home and we haven't been able to get the dvd to play in the Xbox so we will try the PlayStation and if it still doesn't play, I'll call to let them know. Full disclosure: Our Comedy Barn Show tickets were free.as they were giving free tickets to Hurricane Irma Evacuees. I am so cynical that I thought that even though the show tickets were free, there would still be some type of food or drink minimum. Well, there was no minimum. There is not even any alcohol served at the Comedy Barn! This was a completely free show. 3 1/2 stars The show is entirely family oriented. It reminded me of a combination of America's Got Talent and The Gong Show. There were county musicians and singers who were a constant presence between and during the acts. I loved the dog act. I was especially impressed that rescue dogs are trained. The Dutch juggler was okay. One guy did an act with kids from the audience. You know what the say, "Kids say the darndest things!" There were a couple of comedians. One was a snoozer but the other was amusing. His act really consists of picking people out of the audience and making them do silly things. Other reviews have mentioned that the people are picked in advance. I know this is not true because my Husband was picked from the audience and this was not arranged in advance. We all had a blast watching my husband "act" in a story on stage and get lots of laughs. My kids were absolutely dying! Yes, they try to sell you pictures, t-shirts, DVD's, etc. However, I did not think the merchandising was too annoying. We did buy a few snacks, which were not too over priced. I believe, the regular price is about twenty dollars per person. Not bad for a wholesome night of family fun in a tourist area! read more

This was the first show on my trip I saw while visiting Gatlinburg and I am now writing this after have seen a few others. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being barn themed and a "variety show" but I was very pleased with it. The term "clean family comedy" can sometimes get a bad rap as being cheesy or corny (barn pun lol.) But this show had very witty writing along with great talent and musicians. The performers rotate within the season so the lineup may not be the same as what I saw but I was more than sastisfied with the set. Dog tricks, singing, juggling, dancing, and of course "stand up" was the bulk of what I viewed. The performers were charismatic and quick on their feet. Very funny but just hope you don't get called up on stage because some parts seemed embarrassing for them but nothing that would ruin a night haha. Example: one man was called up to hold a glass sheet while a perfomer hilariously ricocheted ping pong balls off of it and caught it again in his mouth. Reasonably priced merchandise was available compared to other shows. A DVD copy of the show was available for purchase. To add, their main T-Shirts were only $9.95 with a lifetime guarantee on them! 2 hours of witty fast paced comedy bits with an intermission in between. This place was fun and better than I expected. The Hee-Haw song instantly brought me back to when I was a kid. Danny was so funny, I was crying. There are some slow parts, so that all ages can enjoy. The concession stand shorted us a hotdog, but they weren't really good to begin with. There was chaos during intermission for the bathroom; long lines. We had some Amish chics attempt to get in front of us. If it hadn't been a whole slew of them, I would have welcomed it. Alas, they were rude dutch speakers anyway. Good crowd interaction and not a bad seat in the house. getting around inside the small lobby area was tough. Too many people, not enough square footage. We chose this for our vacation weekend because we wanted a show, and clean comedy all in one. This was it! We wished we had our kids with us because they would have loved it. Needless to say, our favorite part was the comedian guy (my face hurt I was laughing so hard). He could have done the whole night! I travel throughout the whole world and especially throughout the United States looking for entertainment. Well this has been the third time I've been to this comedy place because I've enjoyed the show so much. First two times I was set up towards the middle of the stage... I would estimate 560s back which was fine. However when I came back into town for vacay, I was told by your front desk to get there early so that we could get seats that sat in front. Early the next morning we ALL woke up and were the first people there ordering six tickets for two whom had never been. We froze our butts off, but we were put down for what I believed was front tickets. The day of the show, we checked in, and low and behold we were sat in the very back. And when I say back... I mean the back row!!! I watched as newcomers purchased their tickets the day of event and were sat in the front area. Ewwww I was hot mad! But this part pushed me over the edge.. there was a little boy celebrating his fifth birthday there at the comedy show, and all his dad wanted to do is have him just be noticed. I overheard that they were not going to do that and I just wanted to leave! I was so disappointed. It's not like it was some huge sold out show. Theres no excuse for ya... in my book... show them some southern love!! The fact that the staff was rude and told him NO, they had no time for that was just a complete turn off for me! I will never return there again, I don't care how funny the characters can be and how clean the whole the show is... that service lack of customer service right there could break your show. That should've been fixed immediately when I tried to speak up for this darling kid. I was treated like crap so two thumbs down with one star mixed in!! This is the second time that we have come and the first time was funny the second time was hilarious. I loved all the variety acts. The jugular was simply amazing as were the dogs. The music was perfect and I don't think I've ever tasted better popcorn. The funniest guy both times was the ping-pong man. Beware if you sit on the front row or on the aisle. This review is not for the show itself but for the experience we had with their staff. We carefully read the signs for parking as there are several businesses where the lots are continous and linked together. Some were clearly marked for comedy barn only. Others had no signs posted ( I attached a picture of the spots). We parked where there were no signs indicating "comedy barn only" . When I got out of the car, a man approached and asked if we were going to the comedy barn. I told him we were not, and he flatly stated, " move your car". My response was polite & aplogetic, "oh, I'm sorry there were signs posted on the other spots. I thought we got it right." I opeNed my car door to move, and apologized again and simply said, "you should add more signs to these spaces. We just didn't know." Rudely, he replied, " well, I'm telling you know. You know. So move." I was shocked. I watched the man tell 3 other families a similar message as they also were mislead by the absence of signs. I'm not sure why they would believe this type of interaction is a better business decision than simply posting signs. I will never know if the show is good as my first experience with this brand/ business displayed terrible customer awareness. read more

If I was only reviewing the customer service staff, I would give them five stars. Since I am reviewing the show as well, I'm giving one star. Our child did not enjoy sitting through this, and we didn't, either. The only enjoyable part was the music and the tap dancing. There weren't many animals doing tricks at the evening show. The ventriloquist bombed with the monkey puppet, but did very well with the elderly female puppet. The magic show was not entertaining at all, and consisted of milk bottles hiding under tubes and being removed again. One of the female performers sang songs about man-stealing to children. And the worst part of all was the passive-aggressive man who couldn't do any special tricks and made fun of the name of a child in the audience. It was almost as bad when another male entertainer made passive-aggressive jokes about a band member and it was supposed to be funny. I would pay more to spend time with the people at the concession stand and gift shop because they are more fun to be around than the people on stage, paid to put on a horrendous, plotless, non-family-friendly horror show starring a yelling loser who bullies children. read more

We loved this show. Capped off a perfect date with my beautiful Bride in Pigeon Forge. Of course, traffic was ferocious and it took nearly 45 minutes to drive the two miles from Motel. But found out this is very typical here. The show is wholesome, patriotic, entertaining and very worthwhile. Talent is different but exceptional. Kept the crowd laughing for nearly two hours. Lots of audience participation. The snacks were ridiculous. Bad as the movies. $6. for popcorn, $3.95 for small Coke. Would like to see their other show: Hatfield's and McCoy's. we parked in back which is small and a distance from the entrance but exited via the Island which got us out onto Parkway at stop light. My family and I travel to the Smokys every summer since I was a little girl and usually do the same attractions every time. For this year's trip, we voted on going to the Comedy Barn to try something new. It was definitely not a mistake, and we, including two people in their sixties, two people in their twenties, and a fifteen year old, all thoroughly enjoyed it. We laughed until our jaws hurt and bought a DVD, which included all of us, to remember the event. Of course not everyone has the same sense of humor, but the Comedy Barn provides a family friendly atmosphere with clean humor, which is hard to find today in America. Don't miss out on the Comedy Barn next time you visit Pigeon Forge! As a side note, the tickets cost about $30 per adult with the $2 off coupon and sell fast, so I recommend pre-ordering the tickets. Also, there is no meal provided, but a fully loaded snack bar with reasonable prices resides in the lobby for one's needs. I was highly disappointed when 3 out of the 5 seats I paid for were worthless. The show sells silly hates, and the family in front of us bought some and obstructed our views. My disappointment came from the customer service counter who didn't give any value to my complaint that my kids could not see the show...the comedy barn staff didn't care one bit...didn't offer any refund or discount...didn't acknowledge anything at all. Truly awful. We've been to many shows over the years in many locations but this one takes the cake for being the worst! We were there on 9/3/19. On the positive side, the dog act, musicians and magician were fine but the comedians were so "cringe-worthy" that we left at intermission. The "ping pong" ball guy was terrible, his act consisted of making fun of the audience members. The "foam bat" guy was also very bad, again, his act was making fun of the audience participants on stage. Don't waste your money. read more
